The apartment is really well located in the heart of the city and within 10-15 minutes walk of most of the historic and cultural sites. Metro is five minutes walk away (it has a lift) and there is a bus stop directly across the road. Public transport in Valencia is fantastic. A major department store is also across the road, which sells upmarket clothes and has a large supermarket that sells everything you will need for self-catering. The apartment is very large and well decorated with high ceilings. All bedrooms have shower rooms and one also has a bath with water jets. There is plentiful storage for clothes etc. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. Be careful of the cooker-hood - it's installed low and is a hazard. Needs raising 30cm. The microwave buttons are temperamental, but it works with a bit of patience. There is a large freezer and a fridge. The utility room has a good washing machine and tumble dryer. It's also possible to hang out washing on the lines located in the light well outside the utility room window. There is a distinct smell in the apartment when the windows have been closed a few hours. I'm not sure where this is from but suspect the soil pipe isn't coping. The smell goes away once the windows have been open and the showers all run. Not ideal but not a great problem given all the good points of the apartment. Pilar, who manages the apartment for the owners is lovely and very helpful. She speaks good English. Highly recommended! A great find.

The location of this apartment cannot be beat! A quick minute walk to the main square, beautiful park across the street, high end grocery across the street, plenty of wonderful street cafes in the area. The apartment is spacious, light and airy. Was a very nice, well equipped kitchen, really nice bathrooms in each bedroom. The middle bedroom has a pull out couch with a single bed not 2 twin beds. Pilar, the hostess, was very helpful with regards to a stopped drain. She is very accommodating. Fixed within an hour or so! It was a great experience and if we came back would definitely stay again!

Many thanks for sharing this abode and amenities with our family, it was truly ideal. We cooked and entertained, we siesta'ed, we relaxed, the location can't be beat with the market across the street for sundries and the rest of the city w/in walking or short Metro distance. Clean, airy, spacious, and the full (truly full) kitchen made it a real pleasure.

Across the street from grocery store. Easy walk to old town and el Mercado. Pilar was easy to work with. The living room was gigantic and had Netflix, which the kids loved. There was a musty odor that went away with opened windows. The building is under construction/being renovated, but not very loud. I would definitely rent this again.

This was a huge spacious apartment within old town of Valencia. We were close to everything - Old Town, Turia River Gardens, Metro, and only 15 minute bike ride to the beach! The kitchen, laundry and lots of space made it very easy to relax on our vacation. Great to have elevator access right to the apartment. Some construction going on limited use of the balcony, but that will be wonderful once you have access to the space again. Slight issue with a wet smell upon arrival but it would go away with windows open rather quickly and unsure if it was really an issue with this apartment or construction that was around the building. Easy to communicate with our VRBO host and made for a wonderful stay in Valencia.

The apartment is just perfect! Excellent location right in a quiet part of downtown Valencia, across from El Corte Inglés supermarket and department store. The apartment is even better than what the pictures show. Spacious, well appointed and overall very comfortable for a short or long stay. We stayed for one whole month and enjoyed everyday. Pilar the contact person was very helpful, prompt to answer our questions and very helpful overall. We look forward to return to Casa Sorolla.

We had an amazing time in Valencia. Pilar's apartment is very central with most interesting sights (Museums, beaches, etc.) easily accessible. Pilar was very helpful too. A highly recommended place to stay!

We rented this apartment for 3 weeks during our sabbatical. Valencia is a wonderful town, and this apartment could not be better located to take advantage of and enjoy all it has to offer. We were in walking/biking distance to everything - fantastic restaurants, sites, museums and parks. Having the El Cortes Ingles supermarket right across the street was super convenient for keeping our fridge stocked with the snacks and libations we like to keep on hand. The kitchen is well-supplied with quality appliances, dishware etc allowing us to buy beautiful dinner fixings at the incredible Mercado Central and cook simple dinners in-house a couple of nights. The three cafes and a lovely park (with an awesome bunuelos stand!) just around the corner proved to be the perfect spot to grab a quick breakfast in the morning, or relax while enjoying an aperitif at the end of a long day's trekking about. We especially enjoyed the kind staff at Cafe Des Mones, and a little further down the block, JIB's restaurant for some gastronomic tapas and terrific pitchers of Agua de Valencia. The apartment itself is as large bright and sunny as the photos indicate. Spotlessly clean when we arrived and perfectly appointed with everything necessary to make for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It was great to have the terrace for morning coffee/tea. We are carry-on only travelers dependent on having access to a washing machine, having the terrace for laundry drying was a big benefit. The large shower with good pressure and plenty of hot water is a special bonus not always present in European apartment rentals. Our host, Pilar was a pleasure to work with every step of the way. Rachel (the cleaner) and Antonio (the doorman) were both so friendly and helpful. We've rented many apartments and houses on our travels, but this is one we will definitely be returning to. Definitly five stars across the board.

Excellent location for walking to most major tourist attractions and restaurants. Very charming and spacious apartment with outdoor space that is perfect for enjoying the Spain climate. The apartment is impeccably clean but could use a few updates in some rooms. Pilar was a joy to work with and even secured tickets to some tourist attractions for us in advance.

Er is voldoende ruimte in het appartement met een heerlijk zit hoek met uitkijk of het naast gelegen park. Verder is er een ruime keuken en keurige slaapkamers met eigen badkamer. De locatie is echt perfect midden in het centrum en tegen over de supermercado. Enige min punten zijn, de riool lucht die geregeld in het appartement hangt en het trappenhuis komt niet tot de 5e verd. Verder echt een top locatie.

This is a very nice apartment, spacious, light and airy with good views. Easy walking distance of the old town and good bars and restaurants close by. Had a small problem with plug in bathroom sink not working so contacted Pilar and it was dealt with immediately. We enjoyed our stay in Valencia.

A nice apartment, with lots of room, in a good location for easy walking to the pretty old town. Certain areas like the terrace are a bit tired & could do with an update and there Is at times an unfortunate pong which seems to be a theme through quite a few areas of the city. Overall though a good choice

Its location is very central for a city break . There are loads of shops, cafes and restaurants and places of interest within walking distance. It is a metro ride away from the beach so wouldn't recommend it for a 'beach holiday' as such.The apartment does however require some TLC in our view for the price you are paying. The shower did not work in the second bathroom, there were cracked tiles on the kitchen floor and the terrace doors were not easy to close, we had to adjust the fixings on the inside edge of the door in order to close and lock it. The main problem for us was a drain/ sewage smell which was partially resolved with our hosts assistance when she suggested we try and re-seal the drain in the en-suite shower room. I think this is a wider problem in the block and Valencia in the summer but did mar our stay a little.Our host was very helpful however, and I suspect it may not be an issue at cooler times of the year.Overall a lovely apartment but could be improved.

Big place very close to groceries and bus stop and taxi stand and coffee shops right at the bottom of the apartment.Nice to see the cathedral bell tower at night from the terrace. Small issues with air conditioner were quickly dealt with. Overall a great place to stay.

This is a lovely light filled place overlooking a pretty little park on one side, city rooftops on another. Good amenities and our host Pilar was lovely.

The apartment was great. Can't beat the location. Walking distance to most everything - near bus stop and metro too. Across the street from convenient market and near many restaurants and shopping. We had a great experience. The apartment was very comfortable, is very large and we felt at home. Would recommend this apartment.

Brilliant location, a Corte Ingles for high end food shopping across the street, very spacious and bright, perfectly easy and friendly check in, overlooking a lovely plaza from the 5th floor of an old town house, and therefore not too noisy at all (good windows also keep the appartment quiet). Only reason for not giving 5 stars is it's a bit dated and not luxuriously decorated or equipped - but more than adequate, particularly for families or a small group of friends. We had a lovely time and would be very happy to return.

The apartment is spacious and can nicely accommodate 2 couples. Furnishings were basic but functional. We unfortunately had ongoing plumbing issues during our 3 night stay. One toilet wasn’t working when we arrived and even after the repair the next day it didn’t function properly. Additionally the shower in the en-suite bathroom at the back of the apartment didn’t drain and there was a very strong smell of stagnant water/sewer. The drain was attended to after our 2nd of 3 nights but the smell never went away and therefore left the shower area unusable...and in general made for an unpleasant stay.

Better than expected from the oversized footprint of the flat to the well appointed amenities. Two families with kids in tow would do just fine in this space with kids bunking out in the solarium or living room. Access to all Valencia has to offer is steps...literally. Also, grateful for Jose Antonio...a fine compliment to this building.

We are a family of 4 and really enjoyed our 3 night stay in Valencia. The apartment is in a great location just opposite a department store and overlooking a square with several nice cafes where we sat outside and enjoyed the warm January sun! We loved the central market and the lively streets lined with orange trees. The apartment is ideally located for the shops and restaurants and is also a short walk to the old river bed which is now a fabulous park running through the centre of the city.

The apartment was very charming. Close to old town, shopping district, metro, train station, buses & taxis.

Atico Sorolla was within walking distance of all of the places we wanted to visit in Valencia. The location is excellent with public transportation also conveniently nearby. With bedrooms and bathrooms on opposite ends of the apartment, Atico Sorolla would be perfect for two couples traveling together or a family. Pilar, the property manager, was charming, helpful, and readily available. We will recommend this apartment to friends who are traveling to Valencia.

The perfect location in the heart of Valencia. The terrace was fantastic for breakfast and sunsets. The apartment is very well furnished with plenty of space to unpack and relax. Pilar was available for questions and quickly responded. There is a grocery store right across the street and shopping bags are available in the apartment, and the Mercado Central is not far for the adventurous at heart We enjoyed Valencia much more than the hustle, bustle of Barcelona. Noteworthy sites for us were La Lonja, Mercado Central, and La Cathedral. We highly recommend the audio tours. Also a short trip on the train gets you to Xativa Castle to the south and Castillo de Sagunto to the north.
