Cute wee gem with charm and great location-conveniently close to the city.
The location of Trinket Box is excellent because it is right off the highway access, yet close enough to the city to get downtown very easily and quickly via just a short walk with a short cut through the Parliament grounds (front areas) towards the Harbourside areas with fine dining with Shed 5 or Dockside for example, or along Lampton Quay and beyond. The views from the upper Main room (with en-suite) were superb! The views of the city to the North down to the Harbour (watching Cruise Ships arrive) and the nearby bush where plenty of Tui birds reside was splendid. We loved the birdsong morning and night and while it helped to rise earlier than expected, it was a real treat. The rooms were are very clean and the decor added to a real comfy homey feeling which was a nice touch! We were warned of the tight driving conditions on that cul-du-sac and so there were no surprises and we had no issues parking our car. This home would be fine for both a 'no car' holiday but also a 'with car' holiday because, being where it is with its proximity to the motorway makes it super easy to get in/out of the city if desired. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a WLG City experience without having to be (or wanting to be) right in the thick of the city and deal with all the sirens and other city noise that usually go with it. The Tui chorus helped make one feel they were in a bush setting. Having a bathroom (with toilet and shower) downstairs situated between two double bedrooms, then all shared living areas on the 2nd level, and additionally a 3rd floor Master bedroom with full bath (shower over tub plus sink and toilet) would make this ideal for up to 3 couples to share comfortably with great privacy.
As per description of layout and heating received, we had some warmer weather for part of the stay and the place stays warm but this also meant opening the push-aside windows fully. However, with the increase of wind later on, these would need to be shut again and therefore air flow was minimal and so there is potential for it to get stuffy. But being able to have the windows wide open was nice and helped for unobstructed views. We had severe winds during our last night and so it was not so quiet that night for sleeping while the wind hit the house. It is not a suitable place to stay for anyone with mobility issues, as stair climbing is mandatory to reach the shared living areas. But other than that no complaints.

it was nice and clean. Very inner city area,. close to where we wanted to go, both airport and ferry.
would have liked normal tea and paper towels in all homes

Above expectations - really lovely location and the home. Loved it.
The house was very central to Wellington. Loved the views especially the natural environment areas close-by. Quiet area. The accommodation was superb! Loved everything.
