About this apartment rental
The Vu is a luxury contemporary apartment with stunning sea views encompassing Torquay town and harbour.
The apartment can accommodate 6 guests adding an additional bedroom with ensuite with full sea view. Contact Karen for further information and rental cost.
Located in one of Torquay’s most exclusive areas the apartment comprising of the entire lower ground floor of our home has the versatility of providing seafront and country walks, accessing the footpath to Cockington country park and a 10 minute walk to the nearest beach continuing on for a further 10 minutes to arrive a the main Torre Abbey beach with associated cafes, bars and restaurants.
The apartment is accessed from the parking area and along the external sun terrace, taking in the large level garden with pond. Along the terrace you will come to the undercover outside dining area where you will find the main door to the apartment providing 210 Sq. meters of level accommodation. There are two bedrooms, one has an ensuite shower room with king size bed and smart TV, the second bedroom has a king size bed that can be arranged as two single beds, if required, and smart TV. This bedroom has the use of the main bathroom, just across the hallway, which has a walk-in rain shower and chromatherapy spa bath. Both bedrooms have stunning views with patio doors leading to the sun terrace.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the essentials ie. Cutlery, crockery and bakeware etc including induction hob with main oven, microwave, dishwasher and full height fridge with small freezer compartment. There is an area off the hallway that provides a washing machine and tumble dryer.
The lounge/dining area enjoys a 65 inch smart TV with surround sound, DVD, portable bluetooth speaker, Wi fi and adjustable desk/work station with charging. Bifold doors lead directly to the pool room and another set leading to the outside terrace for alfresco dining that can be taken under the covered way or on the dining/barbecue terrace next to the hot tub.
The heated indoor pool and hot tub are both for your own private use. The pool is heated to 28°C with the hot tub heated to 37°C both enjoying the simply breath taking views.

Stunning apartment with fabulous views! Spotlessly clean and although kitchen on the small side it has everything you need! The weather wasn’t particularly kind but with the indoor pool and hot tub it really didn’t matter. Don’t hesitate book it!!

I have nothing but positive things to say about ‘The Vu’ - a truly wonderful rental. If you are looking for a modern rental, stunning views, spa bath, rain shower, hot tub, PRIVATE heated pool and great location, then this is the property for you. We returned for a 2nd time this year and weren’t disappointed (again!). The apartment is super clean and has everything you would want/need and is only 10mins drive from Torquay harbour. You won’t be disappointed if you book Th Vu.

Beautiful place to stay but the pool was freezing ..the bbq was very low so unable to cook good job i took the airfryer.family memories as my dad is poorly

WOW…as was expected. This property is amazing. If you book this you won’t be disappointed at all. It is a drive from the hub of the town but this suited us. It was peaceful and had everything we needed all in one place. The only downside is we had to leave. Would definitely recommend this property to a couple who wanted total relaxation.

The pictures really do not do this place justice. It is absolutely stunning. Amazing views and fabulous facilities. As a family of four. Two adults and two 13 year olds, we all loved the pool and hot tub. The walk to the harbour was pleasent and taxis back were a good price. The owners were so friendly. 5*

With a long journey ahead we wanted a luxury place to stay and the Vu apartment did not disappoint. From the view over the harbour and the sea, to the lounge to the pool and hot tub it was just perfect. Great after a day out to go for a swim then into the hot tub. Lovely and relaxing. We have now stayed in this property for 4 consecutive years and it never disappoints. Normally we have gone somewhere new each year but we are afraid to change venue as we don’t want to be disappointed!! We had a medical issue this year and owner was very supportive - thank you so much for everything

This has to be one of the best places to stay in Britain it has the best views ever. The location is great and close to the seafront. Sitting outside most nights until midnight admiring the views and the lights.

We had the perfect weather while visiting so the views and garden were amazing. The lounge and swimming pool were also fantastic. Sadly a few things let it down. Kitchen utensils are very poor and the scissors are blunt. A couple glass pint glasses for 4 people is ridiculous, you should have more than you need unless you're happy to wash up every evening. Dust on top of tvs and table lamps etc was bad. The’ve taken away all leaflets of things to do because of covid, I think they should provide this again by now. One thing that surprised us is that there was no welcome park with local goodies in to showcase what the county has to offer, we’ve stayed in bigger places and smaller places and this has been the only place not to provide this which was very disappointing considering this is a “luxury accommodation”.

One word - perfect! Everything about this apartment is perfect: location, amenities, beds, rain shower, hydrotherapy bath, view, hot tub, pool…the list goes on! The apartment has everything you would need during your time there, and if it doesn’t have it have that’s because you probably don’t need it - all jokes aside, it has everything you would need during your time there.
We have been looking forward to this break for a long time and it really didn’t disappoint. There were times we completely forgot we were in a UK rental, as you could easily mistake the view from the hot tub as the south of France or a Spanish island. We have already booked to stay again in 2024.
You will not be disappointed if you book Th Vu - there is a reason it is reviewed so highly!

We had a wonderful stay. It was such an amazing place. The property was clean and had everything we needed. I love pilates so enjoyed doing my pilates in an place with amazing views. The swimming pool was well used, i did my exercise, friends enjoyed it for fun. My most favourate thing was watching the sun rise and set in the most beautiful locations. Thank you for all the good memories made. Would love to come again. The hosts were lovely. Thank you

This place was amazing! Photos didn’t even do justice to how big the outdoor area was or good the view was. Living area has huge modern sofas and high tech charging table/speaker system area. Nespresso coffee machine in the kitchen. Everything you could want and need for a weekend away.

Having read previous reviews we knew we were getting something special, just how special you can't put in to words. The property is amazing from the garden, to the hot tub to the pool, the kitchen is very well equipped and and the bathroom - I could spend a day in there between the bath and the shower. The beds were exceptionally comfortable - so much thought has been put in to providing guests with an exceptional experience and Karen and John have nailed it. There are plenty of places to go but you could also just chill in the premises and still have a great holiday. We visited Brixham was a lovely fishing port, well worth a trip. You will most definitely not be disappointed if you were to book this accommodation, we sent pictures/videos to family and they are already looking for availability. We didn't see Karen or John during our visit but that is testament to how well they prepare everything [and I mean everything] for their guests.

The property was stunning, views were magnificent, Plenty of space but a small kitchen, we used the pool in the morning and hot tub in evening. Beautiful bedrooms, if there was 1 more it would be good as there is seating and space for 6. Would definitely recommend it. We walked everywhere even though its up hill, not far to Theatre or Cockington,

We had a lovely stay at The Vu. Sadly the weather wasn't the best when we were there, so we were very grateful that we had the indoor pool.
The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed. The only feedback we felt we wanted to give was that there were no instructions for the use of any of the equipment, which we've always had at other places. This type of information is very helpful.

Wow! This apartment exceeded all expectations! We booked this apartment for a little bit of luxury given it was our first break away since the start of the Covid pandemic, and luxury is definitely what we got! From the amazing pool (which our 9 year old son lived in every spare minute!) to the stunning views of Torquay harbour by day and night, and just the lovely homely relaxing feel of the whole apartment, we had to drag ourselves away each day to do the other activities we had planned in the area. The apartment is in a great location within a short drive of both Torquay and Paignton, so beaches, boat trips, caves, restaurants, takeaways etc, all in easy reach. We would definitely like to return!
