The staff and service throughout the property is exceptional.
The rooms are very comfortable and we had a sea view with private pool.
Breakfast is served in and around the poolside main restaurant. It is well organised and staff are very attentive. The food itself is nothing more than acceptable. Dinner choices are equally uninspiring.
The property is designed across five or six levels which means using the property's buggies or walking up and down these levels to get to public areas, this can be physically taxing.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at, truly superb. The reception / arrival is phenomenal, can’t think of a hotel reception view I like more. The facilities are great. The team are all lovely. Location to Chania old town is good, given it’s also a full service resort. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. You will not be disappointed.
Special comments to Naya from Guest Relations who helped make our stay even more memorable.

Amazing layout.
Limited menu / food options even in the in house restaurant on site

The design is perfect. Everything is very high quality. The beach was amazing, staff was friendly and the rooms spacious.
There was no indoor gym, which in the heat of summer in Crete wasn’t very comfortable, and there weren’t any machines.

Very beautiful property in chania, lots of greens and flowers, very nice design and minimalistic loved the concrete buildings, rooms are very well designed. Pool is warm and beach is nice and sandy. Good service from beach. Staff is really polite and welcoming check-in service is perfect

So comfortable and stylish. Loved having our own pavilion with garden area and mini pool. Very spacious, clean and relaxing.

* Location and Design: Beautiful beach, resort design, and villas.
* few staff members were genuinely nice and professional, showing personal effort and a positive experience which is commendable especially Apostelis the luggage handling gentleman.
* Check-in Experience: In hospitality, first impressions either make or break the guest experience, and in this case, it was a significant drawback. Late check-in at 3:00 PM, even though the room was not ready after full payment three weeks prior. We were told by the check-in staff that 3:00 pm is posted on their website, indicating that it’s our problem. Upselling for late checkout and airport transport felt unwelcoming while we waiting for our room to be ready. First impressions are crucial for a 5-star hotel, and that was not present in this experience.
* Shuttle Service: Shuttle bus only offered on the 5th day, costing 10 EUR one way without return service. Private taxis are available at the same price.
* Airport Transfer: The arranged transportation by the hotel (20-seater van for a family of 4) to the airport cost 70€, while arrival to the hotel cost 30€. Despite a taxi protest that day affecting the cost, the hotel staff failed to inform me about the situation and the price. Instead, they simply stated they ordered a “mini van” for our family, which turned out to be a tour bus. The inconsistency in pricing and communication was concerning, although the driver’s professionalism and friendliness were commendable.
* Service Standards: Poor operation management and staff training for a 5-star hotel. Inconsistent service across various areas, including random room cleaning times and inconsistent beach house service. It indicates lack of experience and poor overall operational management.
* Dining Experience: Limited food menu with only one vegan restaurant. No raki or treats after meals, unlike other places on the island. The main restaurant is vegetarian only.
* Room Quality: Subpar electric and lighting, with issues such as lights going off when using the kettle. Ceiling fan remotes are synchronized with adjacent rooms, causing unexpected activations.
* Customer Treatment: Repeated questioning about room numbers, attempts to make guests pay unnecessarily, and re

The design and landscape.. the professional service and smiling faces everywhere, special thanks to Sofia who took our experience to another level by welcoming us with nice cake for my son’s graduation occasion
Limited gulfcars to take you all the way up to the entrance.. need to be fit and athletic to climb the stairs which wasn’t a problem when the sun is down

We loved this holiday / our room was lovely and our kids loved the plunge pool. The food at breakfast and both restaurants for other meals were incredible. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and we really hope we can return!
The hotel was just a bit far (35-40 mins) to walk in the heat with kids into town but taxis were easy to get and cost 10€ each way.

The staff were amazing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with anything that we needed or wanted. We were very happy with our room in particular as it was located in an ideal area and more private than others we passed by. Everything was very clean. The entire property was very quiet and secluded but just a short drive to the old port. Food was great too.
If we had to find fault with anything it would be that the food menus could be a bit more varied /more choices but everything we ate was very good.

Nice property with very comfortable setting for families. The staff is attentive and they are trying to make your vacation as smooth as possible. I enjoy the privacy of the room and the little backyard with a pool. very nice design and perfect for young kids. The hotel is about 20 mins from Chania airport and 1hr driving to the most famous beaches Elafonis Balos and Falasarnna beach. There are supermarkets with walking distance and a 35 mins walk can bring you to the Crete old town. I will definitely come again.
just minor two things:
1. The dinner is charged with 5 eur for water. I don't mind paying that but one time we weren't served with any water. The other time we were only given 1/3 of a bottle. I'd say if you charge that, just give guests the full bottle worth.
2, The booking.com charge indicates the price is tax-included however I was charegd again when checking out for city tax per person per night. still contacting the hotel to figure out.

rooms, gym, attitude.
Breakfast, pool and facilities.
first night service at the restaurant. Staff forgot about the order.
On a leaving night 2.30 AM (!) to get to the airport, all arranged a night before.
Despite previous reminders: no-one shows up to help.

Amazing hotel, the architecture, the staff, the breakfast !! a real luxury experience, reasonably priced, especially during low season! A bit outside of Chania though, better to have a car, or to be willing to pay for taxi. Staff is incredible with children,

exceptional staff: they remembered preferences after one encounter and always greeted you with smiles. if you expressed a particular like , say a food you particularly enjoyed, it was available the next meal. Food was outstandingly good. Nice wine list repping local product.
wasn’t as relaxing as anticipated due to large number of kids. We had envisioned a quieter stay. I want to emphasize all kids were well behaved and the resort does present itself as family friendly. Room lighting in bath not particularly good for tasks like applying makeup.

The food at Domes Chania was excellent for all meals, but Dinner was outstanding. The wines list was comprehensive with some superb local and Greek wines, backed up by knowledgeable staff who knew what they were talking about and always had a recommendation. The staff, without exception, were all friendly, courteous and helpful, offering excellent service.
We had a few days of poor weather and there are few facilities indoors, other than the kids club. The dining areas are quite reliant on using outdoor space and the weather closed these for a few days, making the indoor area quite busy as the hotel was full. This was addressed creatively by the Hotel Management by opening up the small but unused Ennio restaurant for couples without children. From speaking to the hotel managers, I understand that plans are in place to address the wider issues of dealing with inclement weather. For example, the gym has a roof but is open to the elements at the sides. Therefore, it was effectively closed for 4 days. However, I am very aware that this was Domes Chania’s first full season. The Hotel Management were regularly seeking feedback, so I am confident they have definitely learned some lessons for future years.
