Great place for tourists and castle lovers.

Comfortable bed, room with air conditioning. Good breakfast. Nice and friendly personnel, SPA.

Unfortunately very poor soundproof and location is not what we were expecting based on photos - peaceful, quiet, like countryside location - away from noises and crowds with Nature views from windows. Seems like it is one of favorite locations for tourists, local weddings and people time spending. Also price is too high.

En lyxig vistelse - kände mej som en baronessa på slottet.

Boendet var kombinerat med spa och park med tema. Historisk byggnad där historia är bevarat.

Not recommended for that money!

Suite was not comfortable. Bed was broken, no hairdryer in bathroom for the ladies. In suite should be more than two water glases....etc.

The quality doesn't quite match the price

We booked a stay to celebrate my partner's birthday and they had placed a little greeting card to the room. That was very nice! Also the bed was big and very comfortable.

There were several aspects/details that might be improved: -water didn't keep temperature very well and went from burning hot to cold -at 8am in the morning workmen started to grind something right below our window, so if you're planning to sleep longer and rest, that might not happen -the room was quite tiny - ok for one night but probably becomes annoying if you stay longer and need to squeeze yourself past each other -it's a good idea to bring your own hair dryer because they have cheap hotel hair dryers with low power and very hot air -breakfast that is described as lavish is in reality bare minimum hotel standard with instant porridge, wieners left to soak in water and to get cold without a lid, and rather grumpy employees -you have to reserve a table at the restaurant or you might not have a place to eat. The prices are higher than in Tallinn and the quality doesn't quite match the price.

Superb experience, worth the visit.

Wonderful place that is now my favourite spa in Estonia. The outdoor swimming pool with a roof is pure luxury after sauna. Relaxing athmosphere, nice interior. We had a stunning room in the castle, maybe we had an upgrade. 🙂

Romantic stay with the most exciting SPA's ever in Estonia

I have been there many times. It is the ultimate place if you want to experience a romantic stay with your partner. It is not for nothing that so many weddings take place there. Basically, you have the whole package here: very cozy and comfortable rooms, the beds are super soft and nice, and there is a very good restaurant where you can have a romantic dinner, and in the basement one of the most exciting spas in all of Estonia. You will not find another spa like this, not in Parnu, not in Tallinn, not in Tartu. The SPA is basically a magnet there. The first time we went there was rather by accident, when we were looking for a place to stay on a road trip through South Estonia. And that seemed like a nice place. And then when we discovered SPA in Wagenkuell, I was just blown away. We spent several romantic weekends there after that.

The only thing you should be aware of when you go to Wagenkuell. It is very remote and you are practically in the middle of nowhere. So do not expect any sights there, just nature, a park and a small village. There is not much to do. You can hike, but at one place near the castle you can even rent a kayak (which was surprisingly expensive by the way, I had the feeling that the locals just wanted to squeeze the tourists, which was not nice) And if you book a room, you should ask what kind of room you get. Because once we got a room in the castle area, but it was really small. By the way, I prefer rooms in the castle itself, even the larger suites, although there is another building on the opposite side of the castle where you can also stay. So, if you prefer staying in the castle building, then make sure you book a right room :)

Stay in the Castle, Enjoy the Spas

You are staying in a castle surrounded by nature in the heart of southern Estonia. The hotel was fantastic by itself, but the spas were beyond expectations. You can sample many different saunas and pools in a cozy atmosphere under the castle itself. Breakfast was great and so was dinner in the restaurant. The room was large and had a great view of the property. You have the ability to freely walk around the castle and even climb the tower to take in the sight fields and forests surrounding you.

Hotel has very beautiful surroundings and a quite small but very nice and cozy spa. Breakfast was very nice.
