Newly and beautifully renovated with a new bedroom layout and a new full bathroom, this Oak Bluffs townhouse will allow you to spend the summer on the sparkling beaches of Martha's Vineyard. This island retreat features a shared deck, seasonal swimming pool, Har-Tru clay tennis courts, and an ideal location within walking distance of the beach and downtown.
Perfectly laid out, the living space features high, natural wood ceilings, comfortable furnishings, and sliding glass doors to let in the island breezes. Whip up a homemade breakfast or a few beach snacks in the full kitchen (including silverware, plates, cups, cooking pans, and utensils), step outside on the deck to survey the resort grounds, and check the tides on the WiFi before walking down to the beach. Spend your days building sandcastles, cooling off in the resort's outdoor pool, and practicing your forehand on one of the three tennis courts. Sit down for lunch in the communal picnic area and soak in a bit of sun as you take a relaxing nap by the pool. End each evening with a sunset cocktail on the deck, a cozy seat by the fireplace, and a favorite movie or cable TV show.
You'll find this two-level townhome at The Island Inn on Martha's Vineyard, a beautifully manicured five-acre resort on the edge of the Farm Neck Golf Club. Go walking and beachcombing on Joseph Sylvia State Beach (half a mile south) and Inkwell Beach (one mile north), ride the Flying Horses carousel in downtown Oak Bluffs one mile north, and take scenic drives to catch the Chappy Ferry in Edgartown five miles south. Other amenities include shared washers/dryers, a picnic and barbecue area, as well as a firepit area. Tennis courts, plus racquets, and ball rentals are available at the Pro Shop. Tennis is available from May 15th through October. The seasonal pool is guaranteed to be open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. There is also a lovely on-site restaurant that is unaffiliated with the Island Inn.
THINGS TO KNOW
One of the sleeping spaces is a semi-enclosed sleeping space; the second-floor bedroom being a lofted space, semi-open to the floor below.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

The property was clean and organized. The couch is in bad shape, need to be replaced, and the walls don’t seem to have insulation- you can hear the neighbors any time of the day. I would have given a 3.5, if there was an option for half stars. Overall a comfortable stay.
My 5yo and 2yo slept on cots we brought from home/ ordered on Amazon and they fit on both sides of the master bed. Our family friend who came to help had lovely accommodations upstairs, which had a more adult feel bathroom. Love that there was a full bathroom upstairs and downstairs. The kitchen was stocked with so many things we didn’t expect and thought we’d have to buy locally. I’m not sure if they were left by previous renters but items like coffee filters, pasta, trash bags etc. Just about every kitchen utensil, pot / pan etc. you could need to cook is provided (no blender, but a great coffee pot.) Plenty of towels were also provided and re-stocked daily by housekeeping if desired... which came daily.
Three FYIs for future renters - 1) this has already been mentioned in other reviews - the staircase going upstairs is super steep and narrow. Not good at all for kids if you need the secondary space - specifically dangerous for little ones under 5 and not ideal for kids under about 10, though they could manage I’m sure. And 2) the outlets may at first appear to be faulty or not working. It took a minute for us to realize they needed to be switched on... the little part of the outlet you push in between the sockets. Lastly 3) depending on which apt/suite you’re in, you may have stairs to go up... I didn’t see an elevator so not sure how accessible second level suites are for folks who need an elevator/ramp or just have a ton of stuff.
Otherwise, would recommend in a heartbeat and stay again!
The only thing I missed was not having a shower upstairs.
