We had a wonderful visit! The property was clean, the Property Manager and staff were very nice and responsive to our needs. This is a very nostalgic property and we really enjoyed the vibe! The property has newly renovated bathrooms and stove. It met our vacation needs and we would definitely return!

Do not go!
The picture of the deck is just the start of what's wrong with this cabin. Total lie. Plastic chairs with a rickety table on a deck that no one would walk out on. Wifi doesn't work. Ceilings are water stained and drooping in some of the rooms. Cobwebs and spiders were taken down by is, the guest. Downstairs lights wouldn't turn off, they are basically spit lights and made the room unusable as a second family room. Which meant no separation when kids wanted to have movie nights and adults were watching tv. I could go on but do not want to waste anymore time with this review or going over ALL the bad points. The price point for this rental is highway robbery for what you get! We are contacting Evolve rental for a refund. And if necessary anyone we need to beyond that. What a scam!

Nice, but needs updates
Problems occurred that should have been caught before we checked in. Management corrected what they could swiftly, though.

Great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge and hope to be back soon. Myself and my two boys 10 and 6, met my friend, his wife, and their two kids, for the weekend and had plenty of room. It was pretty cold, so we just stayed inside and played pool for two days. We didn’t feel as though we were on top of each other and the kids spent most of the time downstairs in the Bar area/living room. Some of the reviews said you could tell that the pictures were taken a long time ago, but i didn’t feel as though it was much different. Newer couches are now upstairs and the patio furniture was not as pictured but that didn’t affect our trip so I can’t blame them for changing things from time to time. Beds and pillows were very nice and even with all those people we still had a bedroom with a queen that was not used. Our trip got cut a day short due to a winter storm and I felt I should head back to Memphis and my friends family thought they should head back to Columbus, so I talked to Johnnie, and he said no problem and even gave us our money back. That experience alone was enough to make we want to spend my money at the lodge again! Overall, there’s not going to be a lot to do in Burkesville for the weekend in February, but If you’re looking for a place to meet up with friends and hang out, I’d highly recommend the lodge!

Relaxing Peaceful
John, property manager, was awesome. Very accommodating. Staff extremely friendly and professional. House was perfect for us. Plenty of room.

Not what it looks like
All I can say is it is very obvious that the pictures online were taken several years ago. Porches were rough and some areas dangerous with loose/rotted railing, downstairs sofa was pretty old and rugged. The enclosed decks are old rooms for hot tubs so they have plywood and pieces of outdoor carpet on the flooring. Some of the "framed" pictures have the same tiger print carpet as the backing that is stapled to the wall. People before us clogged the bathroom sink so was unable to use it the entire time and no offer for a discount off. Many other things could mention. Very old smelling. Just not at all what pictures reveal and for that price, it was a major price gouge. Just not worth that kind of money. House mgr was very nice and responsive. Wouldnt ever consider staying there again.

Great Get Away
This was amazing get away for my family of 7!! House was big enough for the whole family with lots of room, with that being said, could HIGHLY use an update!! Kids kept saying they were staying in "Carol Baskins" house! And it was probably due to the COVID-19 but the smell in the house was horrible we opened some doors and was able to surpass it! (However all of our belongings smelled when we left) I highly believe it was because the house had been closed up! There was also some rooms padlocked or screwed shut (really weird)! I thought the house was away from other houses/rentals but it was not! Also due to COVID-19 they told us the pool was closed (I brought 5 kids they were not happy) but every single day/night there was guests in the pool (we weren't aloud however)! If they trimmed some of the trees at the balcony there would be an AMAZING view, but you couldn't tell! We had a great time (only a couple down falls) kids were happy, we were happy and after all is said and done house just needs updated (and aired out) and it would be perfect!!! So many possibilities!!!

Great Time!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ledge Lodge. We had 10 in our party and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The children loved how spacious the home was and being able to explore. The pool area was clean and had breathtaking views! The home itself was clean and accommodated is very well. It is old (built in the 50’s I believe) but as far as cleanliness we had no issues. We did see a few bugs but this is to be expected when your in an older home that’s surrounded by woods. The best part of this trip was by far the customer service! Johnny went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We will definitely return!

Group Getaway
Was not as clean as the pictures, and the contact for the property never emailed me back. Some of the branches have started to grow through the downstairs patio room. The rollaway beds were not in the house, even though they were requested. Despite all of that, we had a great weekend and it has plenty of room for everyone see hang out and not feel crowded. The pool table was a huge hit. Beds were really comfortable!

Pleasant For The Family
My family and I rented Ledge Lodge for our Family Reunion: 8 in total. The pictures of the home are a deception. The furniture was old, warn, and tattered. The place was dirty and only surfaced wiped. The house had a smell as though it had not been used in years; let alone opened. There was spider webs and crevice dust with spider webs, floors not cleaned, and vents with gunt in them. We were visited by a mouse and a spider as big as a silver dollar.
Well after all that, I arrived first, before, my family. After seeing the home and smelling it, I thought, I can't let my family enter this home as it stands. The pictures showed a different home (just show the real pictures next time after being properly cleaned).
So, I ran to IGA and bought mops, brooms, disinfectants, gloves, and mounds of food. Ran back to the house and proceeded to clean the house from top to bottom; I only had two hours before my family arrived. I had no cleaning clothes; I will not TMI what I cleaned in, but, was determined to show my family a beautiful home when they arrived. When I finished this home; Ledge Lodge, it looked like "our home" my family arrived to a home that was spotless, fresh smelling, everyone's room was filled with toiletries, and I had displayed a bowl full of fresh fruit, stocked the refrigerator with any and everything they could want to eat or drink. My family and I had a wonderful time in this old Ledge Lodge played cards, dominos, and just caught up with each other. We got up each day went to The Lake Cumberland Resort to enjoy the 100+ other family members who had also arrived in Kentucky for the family reunion. We had a wonderful time in Burksville, Kentucky at the Ledge Lodge with it's tattered furniture, mouse, and spider.
John was excellent in service in making me and my family feel welcomed.
I wanted to tell my true experience, because we had a wonderful time and Ledge Lodge was a part of the memories we will have forever. Thank You, I bet to your surprise and yes, I would come again to stay at Ledge Lodge.
