Pleasant
Onthers are normal, but when I check in I arrived late, 12pm. I have called the waiter and explained the situation beforei arrived. When i arrived I call the waiter and the answered one ask me why I come so late with heavily gratitude! Then they let me wait outside about 10 mins. By the way the wind is so cold.

TERRIBLE sound isolation and not so clean. Never again.
The hotel is conveniently well located close to the main train station. A few mins of walk is required. Reaching the hotel, gives a nice, modern and clean impression. The gent at the reception will open the door for you and will carry your bags to your room. Once entering the room, same nice, modern and clean impression. “I will have a good night sleep here”, I thought. All nice and shiny until this point.
Revising the room for cleanliness, I spot quite a few different hairs on the sheets. NOT a desired. Since the rest looks clean, I proceed to clean up a bit and rest for tomorrow’s work day. I got woke up at 2:00 (am), some people just came into the hotel. The walls seem paper thin. You can hear steps, voices, everything. The noise continues until next room. They will be my neighbours. Great. “ They will go quiet now”. “Oh, no”. The talk continues, then comes the shower and bathroom noises. I try to go to sleep. It may be at this point 2:40? Got woke up again. More talk, more noises. It’s 3:30 or 4:00 now. The racing cars outside in the city. A train passing by. You hear everything despite the windows. More talk and then the inevitable. A “loving pair” doing their business. LOUDLY. Squeaks, moans, voices. Quickly comes to an end. At this point is about 4:00. Shower noises again. More talk. It must be 4:30 at this point when they come out of the room and leave the hotel. “Finally, peace and quiet”. I am back to sleep. I am woke up at about 5:00. A guy is talking loudly outside. Seems he wants to go back into the hotel to the room next to mine. He speaks to someone and comes back into the hotel. Again the steps, talk. Finally at about 05:30 they all seem to leave. I am able to sleep. Oversleep actually. Bad day at work this day. I come the next day and ask the gent at the reception about all the racket. He says that it’s over and today I will have new neighbours. “Great, who might it be now”. Turns out that there were just some steps noises at about 22:00 that night. The rest was pleasant again.

extreme noise 24/7 because of a railroad
-
The most negative feature is the railway road next to the hotel. I couldn’t sleep for a single minute at night. we had to leave at 5pm. If you don’t mind extreme noise and even vibrations while sleeping, it won’t be a problem. if not- this hotel isn’t a choice for sure. There isn’t a slightest hint or a word in a description of the place. I wish I read all the reviews carefully before booking.

well run little Hotel in a quiet town
Super friendly staff, spotless clean rooms, walking distance to train station and city center, Wifi was excellent, TV channels in numerous languages, 6 minutes train to Duisburg (many connections too)
Hotel next to train tracks (didn't bother me, my room was facing away from tracks to a quiet street), unfortunately the (asian) restaurant belonging to Hotel was closed for good (a shame, because the reviews I had found sounded excellent)
