Villa Saudara is your own private sanctuary (no shared facilities) nestled in rice fields and fully walled for privacy with superb views over the valley below.
This beautifully stylish villa offers luxurious accommodation with a wonderful fusion of traditional and contemporary Bali.
Offering true harmony yet only 10 mins drive from Ubud centre, the cultural heartland of Bali.

THE SPACE
You will be staying in our beautiful villa away from the ‘madding crowd’!
This Internationally designed villa has been built with the upmost quality in mind.
Surrounded by rice fields with gorgeous valley views you will be seduced by the peaceful location, experience true local culture and yet you are only an 5 min drive (3.5kms) from Ubud Palace (centre of Ubud)
Away from the busy streets of Ubud, but close enough to go in when you wish to.
If you are 1 or 4 guests, you will have the entire villa to yourselves. There are NO SHARED FACILITIES (Pool etc) and we are completely private.
Easy road access to the villa and parking for cars.
Guests always say their favourite things about Villa Saudara are our staff. It's true. They are so lovely.
Headed by our experienced and knowledgeable manager Made (pronounced Mad-ay) who is responsible for the overall operation of the villa.
He will be there to meet and greet you and to go through any questions you may have on arrival.
He is more than happy to advise on tours, drivers, in house massages, spas, yoga and anything else you may require during your stay with us.
We also have folder information regarding best Spa’s, Yoga Venues etc in the villa.
Arriving is easiest with our Pick Up Service - either from the Airport or elsewhere on the island (prices on application).
If you are making your own way to the Villa we will provide directions for your Driver.
BEDROOMS/EN-SUITE BATHROOMS
We have 2 expansive and spacious bedrooms with beautifully comfortable King Size beds and luxurious linen. Each with their own ensuite bathrooms and air conditioned for your comfort.
Each bathroom has a deep terrazzo bath to soak in, separate shower, toilet and 2 terrazzo vanities in each.
Large built in wardrobes also grace each bedroom.
LOUNGE/DINING
Light and airy ‘open plan’ design, allowing the outdoors to become part of the indoor living, we have designed all doors to fold right back inviting one to sit and enjoy the wonderful views over the private pool and valley with ease.
Offering high-speed Biznet fibre optic internet and Satellite TV.
KITCHEN
A completely fully equipped kitchen with marble benchtops, you will feel a lovely sense of space. Fully equipped with everything you will need during your time with us.
Relax in the knowledge that our lovely girls can cook you a delicious breakfast in the morning (we make amazing banana or green pancakes!) and will service the villa every day. If you prefer complete privacy, we respect that too.
We will happily provide a 'Floating Breakfast' for you if you prefer this option.
(Breakfast cost 50,000IDR (25,000 for child) per person
Floating Breakfasts are also available.
Our chef will happily cook for you 'in house' or if you prefer, or will deliver your choice from her menu (please note this is Balinese food only). Menu can be sent to you in advance.
She also does a wonderful 'cooking class' for those wishing to know more about Balinese cuisine.
Guests love to pre-order dinner for their night of arrival!
DRIVERS
Wayan (our head driver) and all our drivers are incredibly knowledgeable and will happily advise on tours (half day (4 hours) or full day (8 hours) you may like to experience. There are SO many attractions and cultural sites to visit. They are also happy to provide local knowledge about customs and history. They all speak English.
For booking simply discuss with me on arrival.
OTHER SERVICES
If you would like an ‘in house’ massage, we are happy to organise this for you on our professional massage bed.
Private Yoga Lessons can also be arranged.

The area is rich in flora and fauna. Birds, butterflies, dragonflies frogs and little gheckos are daily visitors. You may be lucky enough to see the glow of our fireflies dancing at night!
We are more than happy to assist you with absolutely any request.
Ubud also has a complete plethora of restaurants ranging from amazing 5 Star Fine Dining to more casual dining experiences. A wonderful selection of organic/vegan restaurants also to be explored. You really are spoilt for choice!
We have folders with our recommendations and all contact details in the villa for your convenience.
We have an array of small cafes in our street (10-20 mins walk) if you want to eat 'local'.
A huge selection of shops (from Ubud Markets to Designer), the famous Monkey Forest, Art Galleries, Cultural Sites and much more.

This property is not suitable for children (under 6) due to the pool being unfenced. However, we are happy to provide nannies should you wish to bring your toddlers but be able to relax with peace of mind. We have a portacot and highchair for your use.

Because we are close to the rice fields and the healthy ecosystem of Bali you will notice geckos which make a cute "gek-ko" sound.
Please understand that the tropics are always full of little creatures, and if this is likely to bother you you should consider a resort where they choose to spray their entire grounds to remove all the insects.
Since we are also in a rural area, seasonal noises from the field from rice farming and local temples may carry across the fields. This is the paradox of visiting Bali - it’s a growing mix of modern and ancient which the Balinese themselves manage with a gentle and effortless smile. It’s really what makes this island special.
Please note that our nightly price includes 2 guests (1 bedroom). Extra guests are charged at $30 per person per night.
- Q: What time is the Check-in policy?
-A: Please be informed that check-in time is at 14:00 by default. Arriving earlier? No problem, we will manage for you to drop your luggage first and start exploring the area while waiting for the villa to be ready.
- Q: What time is the Check-out policy?
- A: Our check-out time is at 10:00am by default. Late check-out is subject to availability and may involve extra charge.
Whilst we do our best to accommodate our guests in these situations, please note the following:
If you know you have a flight later in the day, you have a few options :
1. If we have no guests in after you on the same day, you are welcome to stay till 11am.
2. If you would like to stay after this time, you will be charged at 50% of the daily rate which enables you to stay till 3pm.
Any check out after this time will be charged at a Full Daily Rate.
We highly suggest that if this is the case, you consider above as we know its not easy to arrive at the airport hours before your flight!
If you need to store your luggage after check-out time, you are welcome to do so.

Our stay at the villa was perfect. The villa was clean, the rooms were comfortable and it was peaceful. Our driver Karma was very kind and helpful. The staff cooked breakfast and cleaned each morning. We would love to return.

As soon as we walked through the large doors we knew we had made the right decision.
Very private and secluded, the team looked after us exceptional and a special thank you to our driver Komang who looked after us superbly and had some wonderful suggestions of places to visit.

Belinda’s Villa Kollibri is a dream, we did not want to leave. The moment we opened the door we felt like stepping into paradise. Villa Kollibri, what a gem! Apart from the beauty, everything was so well organized, long before our stay. Belinda’s service is very professional and communication was always very clear and fast. We felt so welcomed when we arrived, and everything we wished for has been prepared. The communication with Made, the manager of Villla Kolibri was fantastic and the ladies who made our breakfast in the morning and cleaned the rooms were so lovely and helpful. Everything was just WOW! and made our stay in Ubud so special and an unforgettable memory.
I highly recommend Villa Kollibri, we will definitely come back. Our two girls loved it so much.

My only hesitation in writing this review is that the secret will be out... Ubud is fabulous and Villa Kolibri Saudura is heaven on earth. The setting is even lovelier than the photos and the staff are a world treasure... and I have traveled a lot of the world!! Tucked away from the bustle of Ubud, this Villa sits nestled between a rice field and a jungle humming with wildlife. If you don't adore this space, then nothing will satisfy you wherever you go. One of my favorite spots ever!!!

From the moment we booked our holiday with Belinda (the owner) until the last minute we were dropped at the airport by Wayan (our driver) everything was perfection. My only hesitation in writing this review is that the secret will be out... Ubud is fabulous and Villa Kolibri Saudura is heaven on earth. The setting is even lovelier than the photos and the staff are a world treasure... and I have traveled a lot of the world!! Tucked away from the bustle of Ubud, this Villa sits nestled between a rice field and a jungle humming with wildlife. If you don't adore this space, then nothing will satisfy you wherever you go. One of my favorite spots ever!!!

The location was the perfect distance from town to feel private and secluded yet still conveniently close enough to Ubud for restaurant meals and a spot of yoga in the morning.
The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to help make our stay a pleasure.
I've stayed in some incredible hotels before but Villa Saudara will be my fist preference from now on!

Beautifully located and decorated this villa provides the perfect get away. Close enough to Ubud to enjoy the shopping, dining and entertainment yet overlooking natural surroundings with the kingfishers providing the only distraction. The villa is well designed and the amenities high quality. The very friendly and helpful villa staff made our stay a delight. We are frequent travellers to Bali and this property is even better than the photos suggest.

What a beautiful villa!! I've spent a lot of time in Ubud and have never had an experience like this. Sitting in that pool makes you feel like you are floating the in the rainforest! Beds are comfortable and clean, the bathrooms are huge with plenty of hot water and the staff are always there to help. Thanks Belinda, Made and Wayan for making this trip one to remember.

What an amazing holiday we had at Villa Saudara! Such a beautiful place. The finishing is second to none. Lovely pool overlooking the jungle below. Every thing has been thought of to cater for guests from being picked up at the airport to scooter hire ,wifi etc. the villa is not to far out of Ubud but far enough away to have a tranquil and peaceful holiday set amongst the beautiful rice paddy's . This is real Bali! Will defiantly be recommending Vills Saudara to all our friends. Awesome place

I rarely write reviews, but after our experience with staying in Villa Saudara, I just had to share this with people seeking something really special and at a reasonable rate. My husband and I absolutely loved our stay there and couldn't wait to return to the villa when we went out ( Ubud centre about 5 mins by scooter or car). The decor and fixtures and fitting are lovely, the staff so willing to please and with a backdrop of the jungle behind the infinity pool it so relaxing and peaceful! Thanks Belinda for making this trip so special for us, we will definitely return as soon as we can.

I have stayed in a few villas in Bali but have to say this one tops them all. With outstanding views beautiful decor the villa is a fusion of traditional architecture with modern interior design to perfection. We came to the villa to celebrate a family members birthday. It was perfect.
Belinda goes out of her way to ensure your stay is memorable. From airport pick-up to Made organising motorbikes on arrival (so that you don't have to source) meant you slipped into holiday mode from the start.
The villa is perfectly situated just a couple of minutes outside of Ubud. Location is perfect as it gives you the best of both worlds- the quiet serenity of the villa with its beautiful outlook is totally relaxing but if you fancy popping into Ubud for a browse or for dinner the short drive takes you through the local village and rice fields where you can envisage local life.
Thankyou too Belinda for sourcing and providing contact phone numbers for restaurants, spas, massages and tours. We loved having the massage treatments on tap and in the privacy of our own bale. We also appreciated the inclusion of the mobile phone for our use as it meant it was so easy to book anything without using our overseas mobile. We would highly recommend Villa Kolibri and will definately be back. We have returned home totally relaxed with fantastic memories.

Location is perfect as it gives you the best of both worlds- the quiet serenity of the villa with its beautiful outlook is totally relaxing but if you fancy popping into Ubud for a browse or for dinner the short drive takes you through the local village and rice fields where you can envisage local life.
Thankyou too Belinda for sourcing and providing contact phone numbers for restaurants, spas, massages and tours. We loved having the massage treatments on tap and in the privacy of our own bale. We also appreciated the inclusion of the mobile phone for our use as it meant it was so easy to book anything without using our overseas mobile. We would highly recommend Villa Kolibri and will definately be back. We have returned home totally relaxed with fantastic memories.

Amazing!!
What a beautiful villa!! I've spent a lot of time in Ubud and have never had an experience like this. Sitting in that pool makes you feel like you are floating the in the rainforest! Beds are comfortable and clean, the bathrooms are huge with plenty of hot water and the staff are always there to help. Thanks Belinda, Made and Wayan for making this trip one to remember.
