Great house to stay in for the required amount of people. Overall was very comfortable and quite. Some issues, but were addressed.

Stay was really great. House was accessible to all important events I was in Kona for. All the comforts of home except for one problem. No working stove. The Property Manager did leave a note to apologize for the digital panel not working and one burner not working. We were able to finish making dinner on the last remaining working burner. The Property Manager was readily accessible.
Aside from that, we enjoyed the house and our stay in Kona.

As soon as we arrived, I knew this place was going to be NOT AS ADVERTISED! Yard was a mess. Stairs to front door were falling apart. Outside was cooler than inside, even with windows open, but the mosquitos made it impossible to be outside for too long. Deck was filthy. The downstairs trash was overflowing. Only 2 stove burners worked. Fridge door broken. Very old and outdated home. Worst home I’ve stayed in.

Where to start, was it clean...VERY, when we had to contact Kelly when we needed supplies, was she prompt...VERY. The beds were Very comfortable. But... then on check in we were told the lock box was under the basketball hoop.. no hoop and we couldn't get the lock box to work. The house was left open with the key on the desk and we had to take it everyday with us. I don't know why we bothered locking the door . It was the least secure house I have ever stayed in. The window, crank out slat windows were missing some of the glass and the screens were barely hanging in. The sliding door is pretty sad shape. The new porch was nice but all the debris was still laying around the house. Take a weeks payment and pay someone to clean it up. It was dark when we got there and it was hard to see where to walk until my husband found the motion sensor on the lights and fixed it so it would come on. The view was pretty good, quiet neighborhood. If you are not use to listening to wildlife dont stay here. Goats , pigs, Chickens, frogs, birds, we didn't have a problem with any of that. We live in the country. The pictures you show all need to be updated. Not what the house looks like now. It would have been nice to know that the laundry was shared. Scared us when we heard the door open and close and then smelled the laundry late in the evening. Didn't know who was using it. HOT,, is was very hot and only two fans that if we sat anywhere in the house we had to move fans. Way too hot to cook in there. The fridge door sounds and feels like it is going to fall off. And the stove front burner doesnt work per sign on it. Only on the last day did we see any bugs in the house,, the geckos werent working to good and unfortunately it was a roach. We mainly just slept there and for that it was just ok. I would not stay there again.

Poop in tub
This place gets you there and then after seeing it, you realize you it is terribly expensive to go somewhere else the same day.
There is poop from animals in the tub, 20+ bug traps everywhere. There was no hand soap in the bathroom, no soap nor paper towels in the kitchen, no sponge.
The stove has a burner inop and the other you have to light with a match, the top part is broke, hanging by wires.
We sent a message asking to confirm there was laundry, was told in writing yes, nope.
The towels smell quite funny and are very worn out.
Location, the place is surrounded by roosters, at about 4:30 am they start. Close the windows right? Nope, most windows are so corroded that they cannot be adjusted, the others are missing glass, yep just a screen.

Anticipation of return
I had the pleasure of staying here in November of 2019. My first time to any island of Hawaii. This home had a warm and cozy feel at the moment you walked in. From the "Welcome" basket filled with goodies (the fresh whole pineapple was my favorite) to the layout of the house, I knew Id never want to leave. The outside deck was under a bit of contruction, however, in no way were there any obstacles, physically or visually, to get around. The pastel colors of the AM sunrise, vibrant colors of every sunset and the illumination of the water by the overnight moon, were never obstructed. So for me, the minor deck repairs, did not hinder my ability to enjoy every minute of being there and actually made me excited to return to see the upgrades.
Exploring the big island was a treasure trove of events to say the least for this first timer.
Highly recommend this home away from home as you cannot help but be at peace here.

Incredible stay
This was a much needed getaway for a friend and myself. We could not have made a better choice to stay here. After a long direct flight from Boston we were greeted with a quick process of getting our rental vehicle and were at the address of the house within 10 minutes and that is a very conservative number as it was honestly about 5 minutes. Dropped off our luggage so we could take a ride to the grocery store. When we walked in we could not have asked for anything better. Fresh linens on the beds and towels in the bathroom as well as an aloha gift basket of fruits, snacks and a pound of Kona coffee. Soo good. Lol. Everything was spotless. There was a bit of construction going on but that was just adding to the property and its beauty that was clear is something that the owner is constantly striving to level up. We met the contractor who normally wouldn't show up for work until we were gone for the day and would try to be gone before we got home. On this particular day we were just relaxing and were still there when he should up. He gave us some insight to the culture and some things to see while we were there. Couldnt have been any friendlier and a great tour guide. Our hostess checked on us a few times thru the week just to make sure we were all set and see if we needed anything. Sunsets over the airport were spectacular and the sunrises that weren't even on our side of the island were a mural of pastel colors that couldn't let me sleep in (the only con of the week) for fear of missing it. We Highly recommend staying here for an inbelievable island experience. We WILL be back. THANK YOU!!!

There was no view from the deck which looks lovely in your photo but not in reality. I have photos if you would like to see what we encountered. The outside was a construction site with garbage everywhere. The neighbourhood kids were making ramps for their bikes under the deck. Many things were broken in the house - stove, toilet, doors, locks -- and poorly maintained and repaired where there had been an effort to fix things. We were unable to reach the manager by phone - her mailbox was full and not taking new messages. There was no effort on her part to apologize for the state of the house and deck. The laundry room was a disaster - filthy with occupation by animals - and someone came early in the morning to use it - slamming doors as she did. We were really disappointed and cannot think why some communication with apologies was not offered. I am only sorry for the people who were checking in that afternoon.

A few hours before our arrival, we received an email saying that the lanai is being rebuilt, although functional. I wish this was communicated with me earlier so I would not be shocked to come home to a vacation rental with construction materials and an unfinished lanai.
Kitchen/living room:
This area of the house was the most pleasant. The pantry and fridge had some essentials and eliminated the need to go shopping for some small items. The dining table and couch provided ample seating and a place to relax.
Bedrooms:
We were most disappointed with the bedrooms. Both rooms no longer have blinds (unlike the pictures advertised) and the one bedroom that shows a headboard does not have one. The worst part is that several of the glass window shutters were broken or missing.
This isn't a problem when it's warm but it can get windy / cool in the evenings.

Nette Ferienwohnung mit sehr guter Lage
Die Ferienwohnung liegt nur 10 min vom Flughafen entfernt, ist sehr ruhig und hat einen fantastischen Blick von der Terasse aus. Zu den schönsten Stränden fährt man 30-40 min. Wir haben die Zeit hier sehr genossen .
Vor allem Kelly (Gästekontaktperson) war super hilfsbereit und freundlich.
Er einzige Pubktabzug gibt es bei der Sauberkeit der Wohnung.

Its location about half way up the hill in Kalaoa makes it easy to get down the beaches north and south of Kona, up to Kohala/Waimea, or to hop up to the saddle road and over to Hilo. It's also close to the airport which is convenient if you are getting in late or leaving early. Kelley and James are awesome people and responded very quickly to help us out on our first day. I would definitely stay here again! Mahalo!

Just right for us.
We four scuba divers stayed here for two weeks and found the house to be just what we needed. Any minor problems were resolved immediately and courteously by the manager. The view of the ocean and sunsets from the lanai was amazing. Simple, clean, and comfortable.

Beautiful location!
Stayed here for business/pleasure. Wonderful location - fairly close to airport and downtown. Kelly was helpful in providing a missing cord, tips on places to snorkel (and not! Kiholo Bay - beautiful water, apparently plenty of tiger sharks), and left some delicious snacks, juice and a pineapple on the table. Plus, there were plenty of extras in the fridge or cupboard for us to use with our groceries we bought. The house was decorated nicely, and we loved our little green wall-crawlers (gecko's). The lanai was very relaxing with the lights and tiki's, and the beds were very comfortable. Thank you!
