The cleanliness of this rental was disturbing. So many stains everywhere, and I don’t think the carpets had been vacuumed or the surfaces dusted in ages. There was a strong odor in the back bedroom behind the garage and we had to go buy some Febreeze to even utilize the bed in there. Also encountered a broken coffee pot and were forced to drive into Tillamook to purchase one for our stay. Kitchen utensils and amenities were minimal and/or very overused. Need new pots & pans to cook with. Overall, I would not recommend renting this unit. It’s centrally located but it needs a DEEP CLEAN and overall refresh.

We loved the location of this place, close to the beach. The 3.5 bathrooms was a huge bonus and 3 great bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and everything worked. The living room was very comfortable for our party.

Beach by the townhouse is great. Nice food around. Clean property. Would stay again.

It was so close to the beach and right across the street from a market store! Loved being there.

We lucked out with awesome weather for this amazing location. Only suggestion would be to have updated events happening in the area.

On the pictures the home looked nice and clean but that wasn't the reality. The Brown leather sofa was torn up from what seemed like scratches from pets. When we arrived there were no dishes and upon further inspection we found the dishes in the dishwasher, still dirty for who knows how long. The room with the bunk bed and pull out sofa was also disappointing. The sofa was broke in half and was basically unusable.

The good:
Beds were comfortable, sand toys/chairs for the beach, coolers and boogie boards were provided. Comfy recliner couch. Location was perfect, could walk to restaurants and the beach was super close.
The bad:
The home needs some love. Carpet is matted and old, bar stool seats cracked, bath towels are ragged, no beach towels that we could find. All the skillets were peeling off the nonstick surfaces. The biggest problem was the stove... electric stovetop and all the markings for the dials are completely rubbed away. Very hard to cook not knowing which burner was for each dial, which way to turn for more/less heat.
The stereo upstairs didn't work, and so none of the speakers for the TV would work as a result. TV downstairs was also not connected properly.
There was also some weird stains underneath of the top bunk bed that looked like blood.
Dealing with Vacasa was probably the most disappointing thing however. When we asked about the stereo, they wouldn't fix bc is wasn't a 'listed amenity'. Then the cleaners called to say that the picture we sent didn't look like blood to them....as if that was even relevant? Lastly, it's an early check out... 10am. The property was available for the next couple days, no one was coming in that evening. We asked for a later check out and were turned down.

Location was great, pretty much right on the beach and in walking distance to shops, markets etc. Short drive from Cannon beach a d Tillamook. House was clean and had plenty to do if weather was bad.

The Condominium was in a great location and very well stocked. The carpet could use a good cleaning. In addition, there is some sort of leak under the kitchen sink that was known before we rented due to the large bucket of water there already. In addition, the front door is in need of weather stripping to enable it to close and lock properly. The place was fairly clean and we will stay there again. Thanks for another great stay!

Right in town and close to the beach, lots of stairs.

Place was a little tired. Rugs need to be replaced. Beds were awful and no place to take trash outside.

A Place Away from the Pace provided plenty of space for our 8-person, 1-dog crew. The bedroom off the garage is perfect for teenagers (we had 3 in our group). The kitchen is very well-stocked for a large group, though a couple of medium pots would be a good addition. (Also, though there were a ton of frying pans, most were very worn teflon--a few updates would be great.) The bedrooms are roomy, and the beds/bedding very comfortable. Temperature controls worked well, and the gas fireplace is very nice! The living room/dining area has plenty of space for a large group to gather. Though there is no view of the ocean, the place is just a block from the beach, and walking distance to everything in town. Also, Vacasa was extremely responsive and helpful. We initially had a problem with the keypad (it was a type I hadn't used before), and they called me back right away and gave me instructions. We were also able to get a later check-out time for a very nominal fee--again, Vacasa was very responsive.

The house is great! It does need updated carpet. It had a few stains, but over all it was normal wear and tear. The dishwasher bottom rack has no wheels, the dishes do not get clean, so we wash by hand. Upon arriving- we had to call vacasaa to figure out the lock. It needs a new lock. I would rent again. Those issues were minor. Thank you for the house and the lovely time

We had lots of fun and walked to the beach and the town of rockaway. Grumpys across the street had fantastic breakfast. Kids enjoyed easy access to the beach. Would do again!

This place has a lot of potential! It’s big, great location, so many bathrooms, and a lot of extra bonus items (stroller, high chair, beach chairs, beach toys, etc). The downside - needs some upgrades on really simple things that make a huge difference. The blinds are old, plastic, outdated, broken and provided little to no shielding from the bright lights of highway 101 businesses. It was obviously something they are aware of considering there were crude attempts to duck tape some of the broken blinds on the first level. Also, high chair provided was covered in crusted food to the point where it wasn’t worth cleaning and using (you can’t un-see that…). Simple touches like clean amenities and a dark room for sleep make all the difference…

Amazing!
We loved our stay here, everything was so close by, great price, everything was clean and fully stocked kitchen! Only thing is that there is lots of stairs, but that’s okay because having the three levels was great. Also, the numbers on the stove are worn off :( but great stay, and would definitely come back!

Great place, good location
The house fit us well and was well-appointed with everything we needed. They even had a gate at the top of the stairs which was handy for keeping our dogs from going up and down the stairs. The living room seating was fantastic and comfortable and accommodated all of us! For some reason when renting a house for large groups they never have near enough living room seating for the number of guests it allows, so this was a nice surprise! It was also close to beach access as well. My only complaint was the mattresses. The king bed had a mattress topper which made it fine, but the other beds were not comfortable. Otherwise, it was great!

Broken and old
This house did not have the beds (sofa bed was so broken we could not lay on it) it claimed to have nor the games, stove has been scrubbed of numbers so you can't tell how hot your cooking anything and it seemed like everything we tried to use was broken in some way. This place needs some major TLC. I stayed here 12 or so years ago and it seems they haven't lifted a finger since they were built.

Clean, a lot of amenities, nice neighbor, good furniture and beds. Top notch.

Needs major updating, paint, repairs, to new carpets
Hoping owners will read and and complete recommendations.
1. carpets dirty, stained and very used.
2. Air vents, main air recycle vent 20x20" has 3/8'' of filth hanging down from it next to dinning room table, if you leave a coffee cup or water sitting on counter or table, crap/even dog hairs end up in it - clean them all.
3. Down stairs bunk beds, pulled out the bottom hideaway and sheet covered in dog hairs, unusable. lucky for us two adults couldn't make it
4. Needs a chair in master bedroom.
5. This felt like lets get as much rent as possible before it falls apart and we run out of returning guests.

Management didn’t follow through
One of the reasons we chose this place was because of the reviews. One review in June said the pullout bed was broken and management responded saying they would fix it or replace it. Unfortunately it was not fixed or replaced and it was definitely not a new one with a recent break. That was pretty disappointing. Other than the broken pullout bed the home was perfect for our family and we enjoyed our stay.

Much needed vacation
This vacation rental was everything we could’ve hoped for. It was clean, comfortable and amazing. The only downside we found was the pull out sofa was broken and we couldn’t use it as a bed. Other than that this was everything we could’ve hoped for and more!

Beautiful - lots of space!
Loved how much space we had. Was tidy, in a great location, and was super cozy. We absolutely want to vacation here again!

Great location, not clean
The location was perfect with the beach, dining, and market all within walking distance. However the property was not clean and the fridge and A/C did not work. There were little black hairs all over the main bathroom sink and the towels had a crunchy/hard texture. It was so uncomfortably hot that we couldn’t even stand to be in the main living space upstairs. The fridge also didn’t appear to be working, wouldn’t keep things cold and our ice cream melted in the freezer.

Place not very clean
Condo was not very clean. Grocery store about 20 miles away. Not much for dinning out in the area.

Close walk to beach
Close walk to beach, location is great. Lots of sand toys and chairs in garage. Home was a bit dirty, dust everywhere. Home would benefit from new carpet and paint.

Helpful hints
The house is in a convenient location with lots of bathrooms and a good sized kitchen/living room. We were very disappointed with Vacasa as the home was not clean upon check in (sand in the tubs, toothpaste in the sink, hair everywhere) which is especially concerning given the current health crisis. The home has not been vacuumed and there were hair balls all over the carpet. Also for a 7-person 5-night stay, two garbage bags and three dishwasher pods were definitely not enough so we had to make several runs to the store. Basic things like Tupperware and aluminum foil are not provided which I don’t think is required but I have always found at past vacation homes. The biggest thing to notice is the bunk room is not part of the main house but is instead attached to the garage on the ground level, so we were not comfortable leaving young kids down there with a sliding glass door. Thus, we all crammed into the two upstairs rooms. Be aware this is a three story home with the kitchen on the third floor.

Beautiful condo and great price
My wife and I stayed in this condo for the weekend and had a really good time. We’ve stayed in other condos in the same area but had to pay twice as much. The only downfall is that you don’t have a view of the beach but it’s only a minute walk away. There was a few minor things that needed to be fixed like the refrigerator water/ice machine and the fire place. I was really looking forward to snuggling up with my wife on the couch with a bottle of wine and just the fireplace on. Other than those two minor things that needed to get fixed we had a great stay. I was offered a early check-in for free and offered a late check out for only $25 more. The condo had a very comfortable bed and sheets and blankets. It had everything we needed for the weekend. We would recommend this place to stay if you don’t mind not having a beach view.

DO NOT STAY HERE OR WITH ANY VACASA PROPERTY
We found mouse droppings in the kitchen and beds, used towels and bedding in the bedrooms, greasy dishes in the cabinets, and broken door knobs, lamp shades, and blinds throughout the entire condo.
The kitchen and dining area hosted a plethora of food stains on the cabinets, walls, baseboards, trim, and handles of all the appliances.
We were forced to wash all the dishes, pots, and silverware before using any of them. We washed numerous sheets and towels after travelling to purchase laundry soap just so we could sleep and bathe properly. The kitchen towels smelled of vomit, and the garbage disposal was so awful smelling we had to use the sink stopper and plug the sink so we could even be in the kitchen. We only used one side of the sink because of the smell. We found food in the sofa and black, grimey cleaning tools under the bathroom sinks.
I will NEVER stay in another Vacasa property as long as I live. Save yourself and find something else.

Listing may need to be updated...
Our family enjoyed our stay in Rockaway! The house was spread apart enough that we had privacy and a large enough great room to enjoy meals and games together. Plus-added bonus-we all got
our exercise walking the 2 sets of steep stairs on our comings and goings!
I am not leaving a 5 star review, because there were a few things that we had to settle on and address.
The listing lead us to believe we had a place on the beach with ocean view. There’s actually another set of townhouses, and construction for another obscuring our view.
The house was a little dirty and dusty upon check in. There is a sign that says to remove shoes at the door, yet carpets felt dirty and sticky. There were dishes on the cupboards that were spotty, with dried on food, and glasses with lipstick marks in the cabinets. On each of the 3 sliding doors, the vertical blinds were broken and falling off, (especially in the downstairs bedroom). The shower curtain downstairs is also torn apart a bit.
We will use the VACASA & VRBO rentals again, however, I will be checking more closely and hope to have a house we expect for the price.
Thank you.
