Location was excellent and owner was very hospitable
Home was well maintained
Pool was beautiful
The hummingbirds in the yard were beautiful
Nothing in particular
The kitchen amenities could be better.
As such this should be ok for short stays but for longer stays people might need a few more conveniences

Breakfast was nice, the staff was incredible friendly. All in all a great experience
Rooms can improve, beds were a little too soft.

Had enough beds/rooms to accommodate a family of 5, was hard to find suitable accommodations in La Fortuna for our family (2 adults, 2 teenagers and a baby). The only alternative was to rent a house on VRBO, Price for Aunty Arenal was better than VRBO.
Appliances were very old and not useful, we rented for convenience of kitchen but did not cook and big meals there

Location
Semi automatic laundry with only cold wash
No hot water in kitchen or bathroom sink
Not enough dishes/glassware for 3 people
Inconsistent maid service
Pool was not too clean
Presence of feral cats/dog was disheartening

The facility is in a good location, quiet, beautiful surroundings, great staff, feeling like home, very nice morning breakfast area with pool and hammocks. Relaxing!
The access road had rocks, no pavement. We found it could be there more towel hangers and we would recommend to add night stand lamps. otherwise a great place!!

very quiet and peaceful. Yet, very close to center and all activities

Beautiful and well-maintained grounds, lots of birds, and the friendliest little cat! Aunty Arenal's is quiet but close to everything. Nice view of the volcano, good breakfast and friendly staff.

The pool and the garden like grounds were nice. The flowers brought loads of hummingbirds. Great to have a washing machine in the family villa!
Aunty takes off on Sundays (great for her!) but there is not a sign/phone number/anything to let you know how to check-in. After ringing the bell aggressively for 15-20 minutes, having my WhatsApp call screened (literally answered the call and immediately hung up) I reflected on how easy it would have been for them to reply to my check-in information message from the day before OR to have a Sunday-Only-Check-In-Insctruction sheet.
The air conditioning is only in the rooms, the wifi is only on the edge of the small loveseat couch in the living room. The claim was that it was "close", I guess that is up for interpretation because you definitely need a car to get around and you would really only walk to a very small corner store. We chose this place over another that looked "very remote" but was actually closer in walking distance to anything than this place was.

location was great. spacious for family.
refrigerator did not work. door lock was not working. in the kitchen they could have added basic things required for cooking like salt, oil etc.

I loved the villa, stoves and washer.
very peaceful. management was very good.
little noisy in the morning like rooster noice.

Nice villa for a family of 5 staying near all the attractions in Fortuna and even had a washing machine. The property was clean and safe and the pools were nice (although they needed a cleaning at the end of the long weekend)
It would have been nice to have a few extra necessities in the kitchen like dish soap, towels, etc but the store is nearby.

A very rustic and quiet location. It is nice to have a small kitchenette and 2 bedrooms. It also had a spearate laundry room with iron, washing mahine & a water extractor (no dryer). A/C was great to have but it is in bedrooms only. They heated the small pool for us in the evening.
The large windows slide open into the kitchen for air movement but since there are not screens on that set of windows the two local cats also made themselves at home! We were able to keep them out though.

Location is good, the pool is great, kids loved it. Rooms are large. And there is a washing machine . Stuff were very nice and helpful
The room was leaking, the stuff were very nice and moved us to a new vila. The appliances are old and very used, the internet wend down every evening that it rained. The apartment is very simple and pretty old.

We were given a room that wasn't very desirable. There were ants that we had to deal with inside the room plus a lizard that my wife freaked out about, but was something I enjoyed seeing. However, there were 4 cabins that looked very nice. The yard and swimming pool were well taken care of and beautiful. The breakfast was okay and included some traditional Costa Rica cuisine.

Helpful, friendly staff. Lovely gardens. Good location.
One day the swimming pool was taken over by a noisy family who did not appear to be guests.

The garden, swimming pool,
It's very quiet.
The staff are very friendly
Was a nice breakfast too.,
Very clean.
Is not so close, is better to have a car, to get the hotel.

Lots of flora and fauna (birds)...Smooth check in / check out process. Two separate bedrooms. Kitchen and dining table. WiFi strong enough for a zoom call. Chocolate tour, Ecoglide Adventures, and Sky Adventures nearby.
The furniture and unit felt a bit dated. I was not thrilled to sign a disclaimer which stated owner may enter property when renter leaves apartment and forgets to close lights.

Great service. The team were very pleasant and helpful. We wanted to stay another night at short notice and were able to do so easily.
The location was great, a short walk from a big supermarket and La Fortuna centre.
The room was very comfortable and clean.
The pool and hot tub were most welcome! 😃
The hotel is secured overnight from 10pm. I had to keep an eye on the time to ensure we weren't locked out.

Location, peaceful, quiet.
Very much liked the recycling options.
Every room has a terrase and a hammock. Pool is nice.
Extra blankets for sleeping was useful.
The kitchen could use some organisation. Wine glasses would be nice or kitchen towels, and maybe cleaning supplies for day to day maintenance.
Another arm chair for community sitting would be nice.

The room was just okay.

really nice small house, in a series of 4
in a charming and very well maintained garden (congrats to the gardener!)
excellent charming swimming pool
well equipped kitchen, good beds, good bathroom
washing machine!
read many comments saying the host was fantastic, helpful and friendly... we probably didn't meet the right person...
the woman in charge came the 2nd day of our stay, without asking how we were doing, just asking us to come to pay - tried then to discuss a bit to get to learn some stuff on what we could do - she didn't have any special recommendations of activities in the surroundings, except the standard ones listed on all websites...
a bit disappointed there, because we selected the place also based on the positive comments regarding the host...

It was a big apartment with washingmachine and kitchen. But the place was desolated.

Convenient hotel location for the activities we planned. Staff was friendly.
We stayed here for 5 days and there was literally no room service. Whenever we went to ask for things at the reception most of the times no one was there. We only tried to eat there once and it was not good for vegetarians.

Breakfast was good. Good location
the money you paid is fully consistent with the service you received
