In a great location, positioned just across the street from the Oceanic Restaurant, Crystal Pier, and is only steps to the nearby public beach and sound accesses. The covered front porch is perfect for people watching, outdoor dining, or relaxing while taking in the salt air.
This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit is all about spending quality time with family at the beach. Despite the traditional configuration of the home, the living room, dining area, and kitchen offer plenty of space for families to spread out while keeping everyone together with a somewhat open concept. This home has everything you need for a beach getaway without all the frills and unnecessary clutter.
The kitchen is functional and well equipped for preparing meals but there is not a dishwasher included among the appliances provided. A side door off the kitchen gives easy access to the outdoor deck and living space. The kitchen and dining area are combined, making for a wonderful gathering space to share home cooked meals that has helped families reconnect and make memories for generations.
The master bedroom is outfitted with a queen bed, large closet, and private bathroom. There is another guest room with a full bed that shares the hall bathroom with the twin bedroom. The hall bathroom has a stackable washer and dryer for added convenience.

Great location. We had some issues with the rental, from cleaning to linens to appliances, and while the property manager was quick to respond, some attention to the property prior to check in would have been better.

Generally, the unit is very dated and could use some much needed updates. The fenced in area for dogs looked much bigger in the picture than actual. Plus fence not safe and pets could easily get out. Would not recommend this unit at all

The location was excellent as it was close to the beach, Oceanic Restaurant and just minutes away from our son's home. It was very clean. We enjoyed time on the sunny porch.

House was ok, better on the outside than inside and it was close to the ocean and oceanic restaurant. The inside of the house was roomy but I could tell there had been previous Pets in the residence due to the cleanliness of the rugs. They were stained so we rolled them all up for our stay until we left. For the location I expected a little more. Did not like that we had to make our own beds when we arrived either. Not really a thing I wanted to do on a vacation. Also never got our email letting us know our itinerary, so when we arrived we didnt have passcode, couldnt get anyone to answer our calls to get help, luckily the information was in past emails so we could get in. Love the area but will not be going back to this vrbo. Thanks.

The unit was clean & spacious although the A/C vents were black. There was concern that it could have been mold. Limited parking for the unit. During our stay, someone was moving into the downstairs unit. His moving van & vehicle occupied 3 of the 4 parking spaces. Location is great being close to the beach. The road was a little busy and getting in & out was challenging.

The service provided by Bryant Realty was, for the most part, punctual, professional, and friendly. However, there was one instance that was not acceptable having to do with a scheduled visit from a pest control company. We were not asked if this was agreeable or convenient but instead received a "courtesy call" telling us this would be occurring at some point during the day. For a family on vacation with several small children (with nap times) this felt invasive. Having grown up at Wrightsville I do fully understand the need for pest control but this should be scheduled when the unit is not in use. The house on Sunset Ave. looks and feels like the older beach houses that I grew up with. The location is great and I would consider renting again solely because of the location. The owner of the house does need to step up and replace furniture that is damaged, blinds that are damaged and the hole in the wall in one bedroom should be repaired (also, the floors need a very thorough, deep cleaning). The kitchen equipment is adequate but piecemeal. The house rents for less than some of your other properties and amenities commensurate with the rental price point would be expected. Although this house may be considered a lower level rental, basic upkeep is not what it should be. So, I have given you a rundown of what I see as the shortcomings of the property but I will close by saying that our visit was pleasant overall. I hope you will excuse the delayed response, but we have been quite busy since returning home. If you have any questions please contact me.

Needs a ton of updating! The venetian blinds fell off the window when my significant other attempted to close them. The heat cut out in the middle of the night during an unusually cold spell- we woke up to the inside temperature of 60 degrees. We were only scheduled to stay for 2 nights but ended up checking out and leaving after the first night. The only positive was that it was close to the beach and several amenities, but I imagine that the traffic noise will be awful when the area gets busy in the warmer weather.

I stayed here with a group of girl friends for a low key COVID era bachelorette party. It slept the six of us very comfortably with two double beds, two single beds, and two large bathrooms with roomy showers. Having access to a washer and dryer was SOO nice - just make sure you buy/bring some detergent, because all that is available at the house is fabric softener. The décor is very beachy, sort of what you'd expect in a rental. The front porch was amazing. The couches could use some new cushions/updating, but if you are only sitting on them and don't plan to have someone sleep there, it was fine. I would recommend bringing extra paper towels and prepare to do a bit of dishwashing by hand if you cook in the home, as there is no dishwasher. The oven and microwave worked perfectly, and the fridge was clean. Overall I would say the best perk of this house is the location, as you are just a few feet from the public access at the Oceanic, which is a lovely, family friendly beach access.

The front door knob needed replaced from wear and was difficult to unlock and rusted. The master bedroom door knob was broken and just spun around instead of turning properly to open. This has the potential to be a great property, just needs to be properly cleaned, maintained, and a few updates. The lady in the downstairs unit was very friendly, but her dog was unleashed and jumped the low retaining wall and viciously attacked a neighbors dog that was being walked on a leash. It bit the dog multiple times, so be VERY careful if you bring your pet!

Great location but house needs some updates
My teen daughter and I had a great week in Wrightsville. The location of this property is amazing. However, the house definitely needs some upgrades -- and we're not talking about a lot of money. Simple things like, a refrigerator that is not rusty, memory foam bed toppers, shampoo'd rugs, black out curtains for the bedrooms. The house is old and that's ok but the house could be better taken care of. If this owner is ever looking to sell, look me up!

The layout. Big, spacious rooms. baby blue and white colors.
A/C worked great!
Driveway is enough for 2 cars.
Only one flight of stairs.
The porch rocking chairs and table.
Lots of trash cans, all w/trash bags despite threats to bring my own trash bags. (I needed one trash bag for the week)
Lots of hangers in the closets despite their repeated insistence that I must bring my own hangers!
There was dish detergent despite being told there would be none .
Big kitchen sink w/view of the ocean.
But:
Buckled/wavy front porch is an accident waiting to happen.
Outside of house needs to be painted.
House has a moldy smell.
Kitchen door is funky/stuck. Screen door doesn’t close properly and slats on door falling off.
Towel bar on the back of the 2nd bathroom door doesn’t hold weight. Screw holes are too big.
Air vents need to be dusted.
Windows are painted shut. Safety issue and it was nice out.
Blinds don’t all work. Lights from other houses is blinding at night.
Shower heads both need to be replaced!! They are disgusting! The master bathroom shower faucet is broken so that it just spins. Hard to guess where it should be for hot water. Water flow is pathetic. The bath tub doesn’t drain fast enough so by the time you are done with a short shower, the water in the tub with that nasty mat is up to your ankles. The bath mat in the tub! YUCK! I hated putting my feet on it. Should be the kind that comes out and gets cleaned.
No lock box or code on the unit. Had to pick up/drop off the key at the other end of the island.
Also, I’d like to warn other VRBO users that as soon as you reserve this house through VRBO and click “confirmed”/pay your money, you are immediately transferred to Bryant Real Estate and forced to sign another 16 page contract where you must give the names/ages of each occupant. And are STRONGLY encouraged to pay for the extra insurance.
Suddenly things that were always considered standard to me at other VRBO properties were not so standard. Sheets! Would I like to pay extra to have sheets and even more if I wanted the bed made. I was warned several times that I would not have any trash bags, paper towels and would be rationed one roll of the cheapest toilet paper they could find. If I wanted Kleenex, paper towels, more toilet paper, a blanket, hangers or towels - bring it with me (on my flight from Washington state)

Simple pet friendly place steps from the beach
This house was just right! Simple beach house with a great location. Very close to Oceanic and the Crystal Pier ( you can see it from the kitchen window). The kitchen had all the things needed to cook most meals and there is a nice table and chairs on the deck if you prefer to eat outside. The Coffee shop and surf shop are a stones throw away and we’re great places to grab a coffee or smoothie and rent bikes or set up a surf lesson. Beds were decent but note that the 3rd bedroom has a full size bed, not a queen. It is on a main road which had a lot of traffic at certain times of the day and weekend nights there was street noise in the early AM ( we used a sound machine which cancelled out most of the noise at night). Not fancy but very comfortable place to bring your dog with you for a beach getaway!

On the positive: the management contact with custom phone app, emails, and response was quite good. Though they need to address property condition better. I accept that the propety was an older beach house, but: 1) the blinds s/b able to be closed to keep out neighboring lights at night 2) the air filter hadn't been changed for a very longtime, and may have resulted in why the furnace cut off Friday night with inside temp dropping below 60* Orherwise the 3 BDR unit was fine and close to expected, tho other units in the area looked in better condition.
