Fully equipped chef's kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a view to woodlands for the chef to enjoy. The living room has a cozy gas fireplace, flat-screen TV and lots of comfy seating and open floor plan.
Dining table with seating for 6+, plus (seasonal) deck dining for 6.
An elegant spiral staircase leads to the loft style master suite with custom made live edge cherry king bed and spa-like en-suite bath.
The main floor bedroom has a pretty queen sleigh bed; main floor full bath is adjacent.

Kat and Matt are gracious and attentive hosts.
They went out of their way to make sure the driveway was plowed and the walkways shoveled.
The lovely chalet is cozy yet spacious. I especially loved the gas fireplace!
The kitchen is well appointed, everything you need.

We had a wonderful relaxing time at Falcon house. The house was clean, just as listed, and had everything we needed to make for an enjoyable relaxing time. Really enjoyed the scenery and walking around Woodstock.

This was a perfect location for an early fall getaway. Beautiful location and a fantastic home. Kat was a great host and things couldn’t have better.

Honestly, this is one of the nicest properties we’ve ever rented. Here are the highlights…
1. The custom built cabin is a work of art. The enclose spiral staircase is constructed with wooden pegs instead of nails or screws. It’s actually fun to go upstairs and downstairs. The layout is perfect and the two bedrooms are very comfortable and private…great for we two couples in our seventies who frequently travel together. The beds are comortable and the bathrooms spacious. The kitchen is large.
2. The cabin is well appointed. Everything is “top shelf” from the kitchen appliances, to the cutlery and dish ware, to the art on the walls. It seems more like someone’s home than a rental property. The many things such as bicycles, etc. that are advertised are actually there for one’s use.
3. The location is wonderful. It’s close to the quaint village of Woodstock yet tucked away in the woods and on the lovely river, affording much privacy. It’s rare to find these two attributes together.
4. The owners, Kat and Matt, are “hands on” hosts. Kat personally showed up within minutes to address some minor issues (a smoke alarm needing a battery and a brief power outage.). And when she showed up, there was something about her that made you feel comfortable, as though you had known her for some time…the kind of person you’d like to have for a friend. The guide for guests Kat and Matt constructed should be used as a template for other VRBO properties…it almost looked professionally constructed…very helpful
All in all, we had a wonderful 5 nights at this lovely cabin. The only negative I can think of is that this rental was so good, that other places we’ll stay in the future will be hard pressed to live up to this one. Thank you, Kat and Matt, for giving us this wonderful experience.

We loved the property. The kitchen came very well stocked with utensils, dishware, etc. Kat was extremely responsive and helpful with both questions about the area and the house. We had no issues at all.

Great Vacay at Falcon House
Loved the house and property! Everything we could have wanted and then some. Used to want a hot tub at our 2nd home but now I think we want a sauna. Loved cooking with the cast iron and also enjoyed that there was a crock pot to utilize for the day we went to Silver Lake to go fishing (a catfish was the best catch of the day). The grill was awesome. Everything well maintained.
Beds and pillows comfortable. Loved having the windows open overnight and hearing the running water. That was my fave! Well that and the Sauna. So much to like here.
Was a great time away from home and a solid Vermont getaway. Refreshing!

We love hiking and were very pleased with the vast trails right outside the door that traversed the mountain and many babbling streams indicative of spring in Vermont! We warmed ourselves by the outside firepit and saw many shooting stars without any effort. The Sauna outside (& many thanks for the spa robes) was an added feature that warmed us up after the cold hikes early in the stay.
We highly recommend this location when heading to Woodstock VT!

Simply perfect!
What a lovely property, nestled in the woods with a stream just outside the pack door. Everything about the listing was just as described. Kat was a wonderful host, very responsive when I reached out- both prior to our trip and during our stay. This was our first trip to VT, and we’d love to come back during the summer to experience the loveliness of Woodstock then!

Gorgeous Getaway, close to everything
We had a lovely week at this house for our anniversary. Everything was clean and easy to find! There was plenty of firewood to use and plenty of property to explore on the trails. It was a short distance to Woodstock center as well. There was more traffic on this road than I was anticipating and the trash guy came to collect the trash at the house unexpectedly around 6pm on a Wednesday, but other than that this house was a great escape.

Wonderful vacation retreat
This vacation rental is a great home away from home. The kitchen has every appliance and cookware needed to make a gourmet dinner or just a nice lunch. The living area furniture is comfortable, and there is nothing like sitting in front of the gas fireplace on a cool evening. The mattress on the king in the master bedroom is the most comfortable I've slept on in a long time. This is one of the nicest places we've stayed in and we've rented a lot of condos. The only thing we didn't like, and it was spelled out in the description that I didn't read, is that the master is on the loft that is accessed by a spiral staircase. Other than that, it was perfect and I would recommend staying there.

Wonderful vacation
Had a wonderful time at this vacation home. The location is very close to the town of Woodstock and beautiful state parks. The house was very inviting with many personal touches. The owner anticipates your needs with flashlights, first aid kit and wood for your fire etc. I would recommend this home for a very relaxing vacation.

Falcon House Stay
Well equipped and very clean, I have stayed in many VRBOs over the years. Falcon house is tops! I have an ATT cell phone and many places around Woodstock have poor cell reception. Kat connected me to their microcell so I was always in touch!
The kitchen is extraordinarily well equipped with quality pots, pans and utensils and basic supplies. We like to cook so this was a real treat. Kat was very helpful.
A first rate and convenient place to stay when visiting Woodstock.

The BEST Place to Stay
What an amazing weekend! The Falcon House was everything I expected and so much more. It was impeccably clean, stocked with anything you can ever need or want and had such a homey feeling. Kat was so nice and helpful and made herself available if anything was needed. My husband and I are already trying to plan our next visit. Whenever I am in that area, I will always look to stay here or any other one of Kat’s properties. I can’t personally speak to the other properties but after seeing how she keeps the Falcon House, I am more than confident the others would be just as beautiful and comforting. Thank you, Kat, for such a memorable weekend!

Absolutely wonderful!
We chose this beautiful home for our stay in Woodstock with our dear friends. A perfect home for two couples! The process with Kat was seamless from start to finish and her communication and response to our inquiries was professional and always quick. She was incredibly helpful and gave us wonderful suggestions about the Woodstock community.
The Falcon House was even better than presented in the pictures! The home was warm, inviting, and extremely well stocked with every attention to detail. Cooking and BBQing were easy with all the right utensils and gorgeous views out the kitchen and patio. The property around the home is beautiful and we really enjoyed walking down to the brook. The Woodstock Farmer's Market had wonderful selections and was convenient for
shopping when coming in or out of town.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return to your magical home. Thank you so much for everything Kat!

A special time at a special place
This is your home away from home. Beautifully appointed and wonderfully outfitted, we had a great time in the quiet of the location combined with the close proximity to town. We loved the four fabulous dinners out combined with the three dinners at home on the grill! The location and the house itself are just fabulous. We couldn't ask for more in our Vermont vacation and will plan on returning soon!

Hidden gem
Great house and great location. The house was comfortable and clean. The kitchen has everything one might ask for. The location is very near Woodstock but still tucked away in the woods. We were able to bike into Woodstock in about 8-10 minutes. The area is very pretty - with easy access for those who like outdoor activities. We have been to the Woodstock area many times and this was one of our favorite places. We definitely plan to stay here again.

Gorgeous location, beautiful and well-appointed house
Can’t say enough good things about this property. The owners, Kat & Matt Gray, have provided nearly every possible amenity to a property that is in a spectacular forested, stream-side location. Since I always cook when on vacation, I really appreciated the well-appointed kitchen, including a complete set of good-quality, sharpened knives (something almost never found in vacation homes). A yoga platform, outdoor fire pit, fluffy robes, bicycles & helmets - I could go on and on.

I would definitely recommend this property if you are looking for a clean, well maintained home away from home. We were a little nervous renting a home. This was a first for us. We always stay in hotels and were not sure if the conditions would be acceptable. We also were not sure if the online description and pictures would be as accurate as displayed. The home was spotless, comfortable and perfect for my wife and I along with our 21 and 24 year old daughters. Everything online is exactly as described. There were a couple of very minor issues with the TV and internet service and Kat was extremely responsive and took care of the issues very quickly. I would definitely recommend this home if you are visiting Woodstock.

This well designed contemporary home is very neat and clean, well equipped, and in a secluded location yet close to the center of Woodstock and other area attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-day visit over Thanksgiving and despite the snow, rain and ice were cozy and comfortable, with the thoughtful owners keeping the driveway plowed and sanded for our convenience. No question we would return.

A beautiful home just 5 minutes from downtown Woodstock served as our base for a wonderful week of R&R for my wife and me. Kat was very responsive to our initial inquiry, and throughout the reservation process; she stopped by shortly after our arrival to welcome us. The home was very comfortable, and we spent hours on the deck off the living room enjoying the sun, cool breezes and soothing sounds of the brook that runs along the property. Golf every morning at the Woodstock Country Club (home course to Keegan Bradley); around the corner from the Farmers Market market; enjoyed breakfast at the Mountain Creamery and Cafe Mon Vert, and dinner at the intimate and comfortable Prince and the Pauper. Took a short hike to Mt. Tom which looks over all of Woodstock, and enjoyed the must see Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller farm and residence. We can unreservedly recommend this home and look forward to our own return vist.
