The cabin is just beautiful. Its furnishings suit it perfectly. Kitchen had everything you need to cook a meal. Bed is super comfy. The bathroom is just amazing, and the bath is the icing on the cake. Views from the deck are fantastic. I loved the big windows overlooking the paddocks to the hills. Everything was perfect. Our weekend away was just amazing. Thank you.

Wollombi weekender!
We loved cowboys cabin! Everything you need for a weekend away in wine country.
GORGEOUS french country decor, kitchen and large bathroom have all the essentials and the mountain view is so relaxing! Cutest dog Rufus is on the welcoming party and you can see kangaroos, cows and some sweet Willy wag tails visit each morning.
We did a great wine tour with Mel from Grape Experience our fav wine by far was 1813 and Stonehurst for organic wine. The share plate of rib eye steak at Mt View was by far the best food of the weekend. We walked the 10-15 mins into town from cowboy cabin for dinner, not a great walking track as close to road but easily done with a torch at night.
Hosts were very friendly and available if you needed anything, but very private cabin.

A magical
I stayed two nights at the cowboy cabin. Jacqui was a wonderful host who was warm, welcoming, and thoughtful. She always prompt in her communication and the check-in process was very smooth. The cabin was cosy, stylish, filled with natural lights, and well maintained. The mattress was super comfortable and I felt well rested after my stay. I also really appreciated that Jacqui thoughtfully supplied ground coffee for my breakfast. Finally, much to my delight, the family dog Mr Rufus paid me a visit everyday :) It was so wonderful. I would absolutely recommend this gem for a relaxing getaway. I look forward to visiting the cowboy cabin some time soon. Thank you Jacqui!

A fairytale cabin
Cowboy Cabin was the perfect place to enjoy a weekend getaway with my husband in Wollombi, after attending a wedding at a neighbouring property.
The cabin is beautifully maintained and it is very evident how much care has gone into the presentation of the cabin with the lovely furniture and accessories inside. The cabin is surrounded by quiet paddocks and it was a very calming feeling watching the rain fall during our stay out of the floor to ceiling windows. While the only curtains for privacy are in the bedroom, the views were very much enjoyed during the day!
Our host Jacqueline was fantastic with communication during the lead up to staying and allowed us an earlier arrival to organise ourselves before we attended the wedding.
The only suggestion I would make is having an instructions page in the cabin explaining the free to air channels were not available (we were attempting to watch the AFL Grand Final), where the tea, coffee, milk etc was kept as we did not find this until the morning of check out (it was in the old cupboard next to the front door and not in the kitchen complete with bug spray and other necessities), and a request form for a breakfast hamper with a list of inclusions. Being a small town, food and drink options were very limited and we were not aware of these information points about the cabin until after we had arrived back home and a friend had looked up our cabin on a different website containing these informative points.
If we ever wanted to escape the hustle and bustle of the city again, Cowboy Cabin will be where you will find us!

Even more beautiful than in photos. The interior is so nicely decorated. The hosts are lovely. The view into the surrounding valley from the living room is so nice.
Great place to holiday, or wait out a pandemic...

Book This Property!
We stayed here overnight for a wedding in town and I honestly wish we made a long weekend out of it.
This cottage is super clean, cute, comfy and cosy.
Bathroom was amazing and a huge shower head that makes it really hard to get out.
Really close to a few cafes and pubs.
Absolutely can't fault anything here except myself for not booking it longer.

Wonderfully decorated, perfectly quaint, we had a lovely time here.
Well located near Wollombi village, floor to ceiling windows with lovely views, clean and comfortable - the sound system (wired throughout the property) is a particularly nice touch.
Highly recommend

Beautiful cottage in a quaint part of the Hunter Valley
Very sweet cottage. Very clean. Very comfortable. Large living area. Beautiful outlook over the bush. Very friendly and accommodating hosts. So quiet overnight!
Didn't have a chance to explore Wollombi very much but it seems like a very historic, less touristy part of the Hunter Valley and we'd love to go back again for a better look around.
