This was our first visit to Rowayton. We chose the home because of its proximity to the village and beach, and the location was great. It’s small but well appointed, and we were able to accommodate 4 adults, a four-year old and a doodle. The host was incredibly helpful and flexible. I can’t say enough about her kindness.

Stayed with a group of friends who had all grown up in Rowayton in the 1950's-60's. We love it there, though things have certainly changed. This home is in a great central location, near the River and within walking distance of the few eating spots and "downtown" shopping (food and otherwise). Susan, the host, was very responsive when we had a WiFi question.Weather was great, so the front patio was used often (back patio grill also worked just fine). We kept busy touring our old haunts by car and by foot. Very clean and comfortable.

We had a very nice stay in this cozy house about a block from town. We could walk everywhere. Plus , only a five minute drive to Darien. The house is very well equipped and very clean and we had everything we needed for a perfect stay.
Owner/manager was very responsive and helpful and even left tokens for local ice cream shop. All in all a lovely experience.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful month at this cozy and quiet home in the heart of Rowayton. We could not have asked for a better location - just around the corner from Rowayton Pizza, 101’s, Rowayton Seafood and the quaint downtown and farmers market. Additionally, the home is walking distance to the beaches.
The property manager, Susan, and the owner , Joan, are super attentive and resolved any questions or issues promptly. Both are also very kind and went out of their way to make us feel at home with small details and care.
The home is very comfortable- all appliances worked well. The outdoor seating areas are a treat and double nicely as a remote office too.
Would definitely recommend to anyone for a stay in Rowayton!!

Christmas in CT
We had a wonderful experience in this Rowayton property and the owner could not have been nicer or more helpful. The property was supplied with anything one could have ever needed and incredibly organized! The location cannot be beaten - had it not been winter and we not Southerners 😂 - we very easily could have walked to everything - shops, market, restaurants, even my daughter’s home. I woke up one morning to snow and promptly began to take some beautiful pictures. I then went to get a cup of coffee and, by the time I looked out of the big bay window overlooking the front patio, someone had come and created a walking path and cleared the steps leading up to the house for our safe passage. As I was traveling with my 85 year old mother, this was one of the very thoughtful gestures the howeowner either extended herself or provided. It is quite evident the owner of this lovingly maintained and furnished home is a very interesting person and interested person. Both my mother, adult son and I were amazed and impressed by the collected and available library and each found several books to pique our curiosity and entertain during our down time. I would definitely rent this property again and hope to do so in order to see my family who live very near while having my own comfortable space.

Wonderful holiday retreat!
The house was exceptionally clean and comfortably decorated. All the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with pans and cooking utensils for our day of Thanksgiving cooking. The host answered questions quickly and was very accommodating. The location was terrific for access to other towns and easy hiking with our corgi!

Ten days in Rowayton!
Lovely three-bedroom house perched on unique rocky property that provides privacy. Staircase up to entry level might not work for very young children, but is perfect for three and up. Two lovely, cosy outdoor spaces for dining, and small back yard big enough for a blow-up pool! Nice walk to a town beach that is perfect for young and old. The house is well taken care of, and the property manager is easy to work with. We really had a lovely time!

Charming home in an excellent location
We had a great stay at this home in Rowayton . It’s an older home as seen in pictures, but very cute, well equipped, and the location can’t be beat as it’s walkable to the beach and the best little market, restaurants, ice cream shop, and boutiques. Check in was easy and we were left with great instructions and free ice cream tokens. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice manager and great summer neighborhood. But it was winter and the place was old and tired. Sorry, just being honest.

Excellent vacation stay
We were looking for a place close to family for Thanksgiving and this home was perfect for us. The bedrooms are nicely sized, and the home has all the furnishings and amenities needed to accommodate a young family (we have 2 small kiddos that required elaborate early dinners, baths, bedtimes... and then mom and dad were able to enjoy a movie on the big comfortable couch in the living room :-)). My son loved puttering about on the patio and the little rocky backyard. The location cannot be beat. We had previously spent time in Rowayton and we loved being at truly walking distance from all of our favorite food spots and the water. Would absolutely stay again in the future!

Perfect Home Away From Home
This charming home is inviting, comfortable, sparkling clean and a short walk to everything in the village. The kitchen is a cook’s dream, fully equipped with even a pull out KitchenAid in the baking section! We have been fortunate to stay in this lovely home during all seasons, each filled with wonderful community activities that Rowaytonites and visitors absolutely love. We enjoyed the flowering trees in spring, the fall colors, the gorgeous winter fairyland where little white lights illuminate the village and the summers filled with boating on Long Island Sound, afternoons at the beach, outstanding concerts at the beach and park, Shakespeare on the Sound and so much more. The manager, Susan, is friendly, available and very helpful. She even provided beach passes for us, and tokens for free ice cream at Brendan’s 101! My family loves our stays there, and we always look forward to our next vacation at this dream house!

A charming cottage
We loved our stay at this charming cottage in Rowayton. The house is in beautiful condition and the kitchen is well equipped. We met the owner who was so warm and caring. I would say, though, that if anyone who has difficulty with stairs this house has very steep outside steps to the front doors and also inside the garage to the house level. If anyone is infirm or has difficulty with steep stairs this is a potential problem. We stayed there during an ice storm and the stairs were a bit daunting. But we were warm, comfortable and surrounded by beautiful Asian art and a lovely library of books. Rowayton itself is delightful and everything is within close walking distance to this house. A very nice stay indeed!

Thanksgiving week in this awesome house in great part of Norwalk
My wife and two teenage kids stayed here for Thanksgiving week as my cousin was hosting family guests at their house in Darien, CT. We have never been to Rowayton before. What a charming little town, and the house was perfectly located within walking distance of restaurants, market, wine shop, etc. All the important stuff. We loved Brendan's 101 and Rowayton Seafood. And the locals are so nice.
Susan was great manager of the house. She met us when we arrived to welcome us and made sure we knew how to reach her if we needed to. The house is clean and very comfortable furniture and beds. Very nice. We will return the next time we are in town. Thanks Susan and Happy Holidays.

Fantastic Guest Haven
Joan and Susan took care of every detail.
Complete privacy
My 32 days as a Guest, Complete Bliss, I am still awestruck; from the time that I arrived, enjoying every step throughout the daily journey I took enjoying this beautifully quaint Rowayton home.
The moment I arrived I knew this place was magical right out of a story book.
As each day arrived, I remember saying to myself it cannot get better than this.
Super comfortable beds, soft linens, kitchen stocked with what’s needed in utensils and appliances.
New England Sound Water Front within 200 feet of the front door, walk to market, post office, restaurants, great small-town atmosphere.

Lovely Home Close to Everything
We had a great stay at Joan's house. Rowayton is very walkable. The house is just a few blocks from main street, a few more to the park with Shakespeare on the Sound, and less than half a mile to the beach. Owner very responsive to needs and arranged beach passes for us before we arrived.

Comfortable, warm and cozy home in seaside town one hour from NYC, a great alternative to a hotel
My family and I enjoyed every minute of our stay in this lovely home in Rowayton, CT over Christmas, 2017. Every comfort was provided, the house was sparkling clean, and the kitchen was so well equipped that it even had a coffee grinder, French press and a food processor! The layout of the house allowed people to spread out between the living room and tv area. I also appreciated the quick response of the property manager to questions I had about the house in advance; it made packing so much easier. I hope this house will be available to us in the future.

Great Location
The house in Rowayton was perfect for our holiday gathering. It is a beautiful community and the house is just a few blocks to the deli and 3 restaurants. The deli has a wonderful coffee shop and Rowayton Pizza has very good pizza. The kitchen in the home is well equipped with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths and is very comfortable for a family visit. The house is very close to the train station so that we had easy access to NYC. Susan was always available to answer any of our questions.

Location and charm in a special town!
We rented Joan’s house with our two children while our home in Rowayton was being renovated after Hurricane Sandy. We just loved it as did our daughters! It’s a home; not a rental. Of course we love our special town of Rowayton and Joan’s house is private but also just around the corner from the shops and restaurants, as well as a quick walk to the beach. And, Joan was delightful to work with.
