This was the third time we have stayed here. It is just as described. Love the location as you are close enough to MDI but can avoid the crowded areas if you so wish. We enjoy the house and location on the cove and it’s an easy drive to Schoodic Point and other locations outside of MDI.

What an incredible week we had!! The property was just beautiful with so many things we could enjoy as a family! I loved how clean and inviting the cabin was upon entry. We are a family of hikers and being so close to Acadia was perfect! A 20 min drive and we were near the park entrance. After a day of hiking, it was nice to just come back to what felt like home away from home. The supplies provided in the kitchen were perfect for all the cooking we did. Beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. Check in and out was simple. I’d HIGHLY recommend this cabin to anyone who would like a quiet getaway whether they stayed on site or wanted to explore the surrounding area. Thank you for a great stay. It was just what our family needed!

Soooooooooo relaxing

Cabins were nice. Good privacy, really cool spot for camp fires. Host did a great job thinking of the little things (flashlights, extra beach towels...). Kitchen was well stocked with whatever we needed for cooking, even had a spice rack. Served as a nice hub for vacation around Acadia National Park.
Even though mid-June is not yet peak season, there were a lot of people in Acadia- at least the parts on Mount Desert Island. The Schoodic Peninsula district of Acadia was the best and there were a LOT less people.

Three generation Grammie, Daughter & Granddaughter trip.
We opened the door to the cabin and saw the most charming log cabin nicely decorated, screened in front porch. The kitchen was well stocked, the living room was comfortable with favorite board games. The cabin had a very nice gas wood burning stove we were toasty toasty and had the ambiance of a wood stove/fireplace. The upstairs bedrooms were spacious the beds were comfortable. I am recommending property and host to friends and family that like to play in Acadia, visit Bar Harbor. This is close to those sites but yet far enough away to have peace and quiet.

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed in our travels. If this region is on your list, it's central location to many outdoor excursions and fun in Bar Harbor is ideal. It is super peaceful for just resting and reflecting too. Our host was there in a heartbeat when we arrived in a storm and the power was out overnight. He had us set up with a generator for emergency power and water. Due to the owner's close location, he was able to compensate quickly for whatever Mother Nature dished out. Spectacular views and super quiet except for the sweet sounds of the creek and the birds. We'd love to go back again and explore more in a different season.

I am not a "stay in the woods" remote kinda gal, and was really nervous about getting outside my comfort zone, but I will tell you, this place was really magical, even in the dead of winter. Please stay here! Nathan and Becky are terrific hosts and the property is really wonderful for gazing at nature.

We stay here at least once per year. The kids love it. A picturesque view of the bay and Acadia including Cadillac mountain in the background. Easy to get to the park. Great fire pit and amenities.

Loved every second staying at this property. The seaside cabin, the fire pit, the brook in the backyard and the little trails around the cabin were fantastic to experience while on vacation. It was definitely hard to leave this paradise and I am already planning to book this cabin again in the future.

I could have just stayed at this cabin all week without leaving to explore Acadia and other neighboring things we did. It was so cute and secluded, our girls loved exploring down by the water and by the creek. When we arrived it was late and already dark, we were greeted with the outdoor lights on, including this magical footpath down to the additional cabin by the water- it was so beautiful! Everything was so clean and accommodating. Location wise we felt it to be very central to everything we wanted to do! I would recommend this cabin to anyone- and it will be on my radar for any future trips we make to the area!

This was our second stay at this property. It’s beautiful! The location and the bonus sleeping cabin next to the water is just perfect. Nate helped us as we arrived the same day as Hurricane Lee and he made sure we were settled in amidst the storm. We booked it again for next year.

We had such a wonderful week here. The property was so nice even when it rained the screened in porch was wonderful to just sit there and listen to the rain. The view from the seaside cabin was amazing. It was like your own little resort if we ever make it back to me and we will rent this place again.

After all of the hiking and biking in Acadia National Park the property felt very welcoming and relaxing. The hosts answered any needs we had. Overall it was a good experience.

This was such a Maine Camp getaway. Incredibly quiet, creek out back, SCREENED PORCH, comfy beds. The wifi was good. We did use the air conditioning a few times but it was never hot. Being familiar with the area, we only ventured to Bar Harbor 1 day and made sure to be in the queue to leave the island by 4pm. We did not use the little Seaside cabin but looked at it and it was absolutely adorable. Being in the woods as it is, we would recommend bringing some additional lights or battery lanterns to brighten the house's dark corners after dark. The washer and dryer work great and the shower has good pressure. We visited Reny's, Bean outlet and Blueberry Hill in Ellsworth/Bangor, went to Timber Tina's lumberjack show, Marlintini's in Blue Hill for turkey dinner on Tuesdays and Blunts Pond. Other than that, it was just the spot to recharge before returning home. Thank you Nate and Becky

We absolutely loved the beauty and privacy of this wonderful place! We saw deer every day and even a little fawn. Canoeing was incredible at high tide - wish we had brought our kayaks! The property has amazing views of mount Cadillac from the lower cabin. The main house is a lovely post and beam style. 30 min drive to Bar Harbor. Such a magical place. We will definitely visit again!

I just cannot say enough about this beautiful vacation property. What a beautiful view, with best of both worlds. The woods were beautiful along with Raccoon Cove. We were able to see eagle, deer, turkey, squirrels and plenty of birds. A little excitement across the cove as we heard a bobcat screaming as the ravins were carrying on!
The cabin is just so cozy, clean and inviting. The beds were soft and comfy just perfect for a restful, peaceful slumber. The screen porch perfect for morning coffee and afternoon beverages along with the shore of Raccoon Cove. We wanted for nothing as the Mason’s thought of about everything anyone could possibly need on vacation. We had a wonderful stay and cannot wait to come back.

Wonderful Wish we would’ve found at 10 years ago. It will be the last time as we are moving to Maine. We waited 10 years to move to Maine. Thank you for a wonderful stay for third time. Well tell all our friends.

We had a lovely time staying for 3 nights at this property. We have just returned from our long road trip and this location was by far the highlight of our stay.
We enjoyed the canoe, sat by the fire pit, tried to catch lobster (which was unsuccessful but fun), and explored the creeks and falls along the property. Great connecting with one another and the outdoors.

Perfect location with a great view. We’ve been coming to Maine for 10 years. And this is the first time we rented. It was a great place to stay for a week. The house was perfect. We plan on returning in April.

This home was MORE than we expected. It was super clean and very cozy. The views were beautiful and the sounds of the trickling water made it even more memorable. The listing of this home doesn’t do it justice. It’s 100 times better. Out of the 4 houses we rented during our family New England road trip, this home was definitely our favorite. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Our family loved the rental! Comfortable and cozy, and had everything we needed. The view to the front of the property is amazing, and the creek behind, along with the swing, was an added bonus!

The cabin was absolutely perfect for our family! It had everything we needed and the private location was awesome. My son loved the cove, checking high and low tide, searching for washed up sea creatures. Fire ring was nice and on a clear night we could stare up at the stars. We were the perfect distance from Acadia where we spent each day hiking. Thank you for sharing your cabin!

Absolutely loved the peace and quiet. The location was home to eagles, deer, turkeys, all manner of birds and starry nights. Hiking trails all around. Cottage was warm and comfortable. Loved the gas fireplace.

Cozy and Secluded Hideaway
Many comforts will make your visit enjoyable. Just a bit of a drive from Bar Harbor but worth it for the experience of a quiet setting. There are “bedrooms” upstairs only. Main level has a futon. For those who have difficulty with stairs should know that as well as the fact that stairs and hills down to the little cabin, fire pit, and shoreline have no railings. Low tide makes water inaccessible for boating but the constant sound of the waterfall was perfect!

Fantastic property couldn't have ask for a better place to rent. The owners were very quick to respond. House was clean. And what a view from outback looking at cadillac moutain. If you love nature then this is your place. Thanks Nate
