My hubby and I had a wonderful stay @ Todaki Residence for 6 nights from 6 Aug to 12 Aug 24. From the start of our booking, Mr. Hadoo was very prompt and responsive to our queries. The residence was fully equipped with all things that you need in a cosy home. Mr. Hadoo was very kind to arrange for a free taxi transfer to Gimpo Domestic Airport for both myself and hubby when I informed him that there will only be 2 guests instead of 3 guests staying at the residence. Would definitely come back to stay in Todaki Residence and recommend to friends and family.

Lovely home in a lovely area. Kids thought it was cool staying in a traditional home. Nice area to walk around and through. Lots of little shops to explore, and right by the palace.
A bit of a jog to the nearest metro entry, used taxis more often than not, which as there were 4 of us worked out to be not much difference over subway fare anyway.
There is open screen roof section over the plants, which would let in mosquitos at night, but we just kept the bedroom doors closed and it wasn’t an issue. Each room had their own seperate adjustable a/c unit which blew as cold as you need,
Hosts were lovely, helped us arrange transport and provided help in directing us to a clinic to help my wife who ended up fracturing her shoulder on the last day of our trip. The clinic was perfect, did everything they could, spoke English, and were cheap.
Would stay here again.

My family and I stayed here for two nights. This hanok is lovely! The property is well maintained and the host, Hadoo, was great at communicating what we needed (how to get in, garbage pickup details, et al). The hanok is near local grocery shopping, not terribly far from the subway, and there's a park close by. We really enjoyed our time here and know others will too!

Relaxing and enjoyable

I didn’t travel halfway around the world just to stay in a hotel. The location is stellar. It’s quiet at night but with many shops, cafes, and restaurants within a short walking distance. The only caution I would give is that this house is probably not best suited for larger/taller people. Mr. Todaki was a wonderful host.

Nice location but the home is extremely old and it well maintained.

We absolutely loved this little gem of a home! Loved the traditional feel. Everything we needed was there. Loved the simplicity, the quietness of the street, just the overall feel! If we are ever lucky enough to return to Seoul we will 100% stay here again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, we were so blessed to have stayed here. Also the indoor garden was an amazing feature! Many many thanks and blessings to you!

Our family of 3 adults enjoyed our stay in the traditional hanok house in Seoul. It is located in a quieter oart of Bukchon village and is very clise to 2 main palaces and other main attraction in Seoul. Quaters are cosy and have all necessary amenities for comfortable stay. Communication with owner is very efficient and easy.

Great neighborhood with lots of shopping and food nearby. Three of us stayed here for five nights and had a great time exploring Seoul. My only complaint with our stay is that this rental is pretty awkward to get from room to room with odd steps and it’s definitely built for short people. Two of us are 6’3” and spent our time bent over when we moved around. Also the toilets are so close to the wall in front that we had to sit sideways. But it was all part of the experience of staying in the village and we had a great time.

The place was great. If you want to live a few days a real Korean traditional experience in Seoul, this is a great place to stay.
The communication with the landlord was fantastic. I always got answers in no time.
The area around is itself a village tourists visit and it is close to one of the 5 traditional Old Korean palaces to visit.
I strongly recommend

The location of the guesthouse was ideal and the neighbour hood, full of unique shops and shop owners. It was a week of fun discovery for us.

The location of the property is close to Bukchon Village and many other local attractions. The owner is friendly and very helpful with the reservations of the property, transportations and sightseeing suggestions.
The location also has easy access to stores, restaurants and shopping centers.
I highly recommend the property.

This traditional accommodation was charming and well situated. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Ten minute walk to the subway and a bus stops just outside the door!
It is a wee bit small for 4 adults but we managed very well.
Badoo was very helpful. He left us a generous supply of bottled water as well as other supplies.
We take away some lovely memories.

We loved staying in this traditional hanok in Bukchon Village. The location is perfect, since it's walking distance to many of the sights, and is surrounded by restaurants, interesting shops and artists' galleries. The semi-open courtyard with the rooms coming off of it worked well for our family of 4. The rooms were small, but there was enough space for everyone, and we had fun eating breakfast all together in the courtyard. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for showers. It was great to have a full kitchen, a washing machine, and the air conditioning kept us cool even on the hottest days. Hadoo is an incredibly polite and gracious host, and responded immediately when we contacted him with questions or for advice. He very kindly offered to drive us to the subway station on our departure, because it was raining. He is thoughtful, attentive, and caring. We will gladly stay at his place again on our return to Seoul. Many thanks for such a lovely stay Hadoo!

Such a different experience than we’ve ever had. So unique. Host was easy to work with. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Excellent in floor heating. Loved having the washing machine since we were traveling so much. Very hot water for the showers. Really appreciated having 2 full baths. Great neighborhood with lots of coffee houses, restaurants, shopping. Bus runs right in front of the house. Subway a few minutes walk away. Courtyard in the middle of the bedrooms was big enough for the 4 of us but we didn’t eat any meals at the house, just coffee. You’ll need to take steps into and out of each of the rooms so take your time and watch your head. Again very unique lodging experience we would recommend if you’ve never stayed at a hanok.

We loved Hadoo's house! Its closed to the palaces and walking distance to Bukchon Hanok Village . Hadoo was very accommodating! Its cold during our stay, love that the floor was heated and its quite an experience during our two nights stay!
You also must try out the beautiful small coffee shop up the hill, just a few minutes walk from his house.

Such a neat place to stay! We chose this place over a traditional hotel, so we could have a unique experience! It was super cool. We got thunderstorms and it was weird that the rain came into the house and watered the garden, we started to like it! I would only have liked to have a microwave and a can opener, but we made due with the toaster oven. Todaki was super nice and came to check on us. The Wi-Fi is good. There is a super sweet lady 3 doors down that runs a great souvenir shop names Mrs. Song. Her daughter is named Jackie, trust me, you want to buy your gifts there! Remember, this is a unique experience and the bed is unique also ;-) Overall, I would stay again!
