Our company stayed here (12 of us) for two nights as a getaway. THere were ample bedrooms, plenty of sitting areas. The backyard/pool area is great, private, and perfect. Great bonfire area and plenty of seating. The kitchen is awesome and things were what we were looking for.

The owner Tim was more than helpful, The adorable welcoming basket was a really nice touch. He toured the home with us and was very attentive to our needs. When the toaster went on the fritz he immediately replaced it with two brand new toasters. The location near the lake was very close. However, a map to the public entrance would have been helpful. LOL It is a darling home every thing you need to be comfortable. The KITCHEN is amazing. Many meals were prepared and we found everything we needed.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Lake Michigan Reunion and Retreat. We had 26 and the accommodations were wonderful; meeting all the needs of the family. LMRR is across the street from a railroad track crossing and so you hear the train horns however there were about ~5 trains per day.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

The owners were wonderful to work with! Since this was a stay for our wedding, we had many questions and they patiently connected with us multiple times leading up to the stay. Highly responsive and helpful. Even greeted us with a card and champagne <3. We will definitely be back, our wedding party is already planning a reunion in the future!

I highly recommend this house! We took 25 family members and everyone was thrilled with their accommodations. The pool and fire pit were a big hit! All but maybe one bedroom had their own private bathroom which is a huge benefit. The owners were very responsive and every text message I sent them over the months preceding our vacation were answered promptly. They even let us check in at noon, which gave us basically an additional day of vacation. We had one or two things we needed to help with at the house and they were there within minutes to assist us. I could not be happier with our stay!

10/10! Our stay at Tim's home was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, Tim was an exceptional host, providing a warm welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect stay.
The property itself is a true paradise! The pool and hot tub were absolutely perfect, offering the ultimate spots to unwind and relax. The rooms are spacious, beautifully and comfortably put together, and immaculately clean, making us feel right at home.
The kitchen is a chef’s dream, fully equipped with everything needed to prepare meals for all your guests. We particularly enjoyed the expansive hanging area, which is perfect for lounging and socializing.
The location is ideal, just a little over an hour from Chicago, with a peaceful and fun beach just around the corner.
Tim's attention to detail and genuine hospitality made our stay unforgettable. We can't recommend this place enough and are already looking forward to our next visit!

We stayed this past weekend and found the bedrooms to be large enough, the beds in good shape, and lots of both! The kitchen was amazing because of its size, counter space, double sinks, double dishwashers and double fridge/freezers. Tons of dishes, serve ware, glasses of all kinds, plenty of silverware, as well as a good selection of fry pans, baking sheets, stirring/turning spatulas and so on. There were multiple sitting areas for hanging out with each other or watching TV. A very comfortable, welcoming place.

From the moment we booked until the day we left, Tim, Tom and Robin have been amazing. There was more than enough space for everybody to feel comfortable and have their own area. The check-in process was absolutely amazing and Robin walked my mother-in-law around the house and explained everything to her. We had such an amazing time and we can’t wait to rebook this property. Also, they have everything that you could possibly need in the kitchen and house to make your stay perfect!

This fully remodeled former bed and breakfast facility was a perfect place for my birthday celebration with 12 women. Because of the winter weather, we did not take advantage of the outdoor space, but it is lovely and offers many people to enjoy a pool, fire pit, seating, and a gas grill. The house was decorated gaily for the Christmas holiday, and the owners left all the makings of s'mores as a welcome. The bedrooms are well appointed, with good beds and linens. Each woman had her own bedroom and bathroom, which was a real treat. The sleeping areas are comfortable and plentiful. There were many sitting areas where groups of people could gather for conversation, quiet reading, games, or watching TV. Our favorite was the room with the fireplace, where all 11 of us fit and spent most of our time. the star of the house is the newly remodeled commercial kitchen, with two dishwashers, two refrigerators, a commercial stove/oven and plentiful cookware and utensils, as well as ample dishes and glasses for a crowd. The oven is not intuitive, necessitating a call to the owners and a visit from the manager, but response was quick and effective. The inn is situated close to restaurants, shopping, the beach, and bakeries. I highly recommend this facility for groups celebrating events who want to have common socializing space. I'm happy to provide specifics in a phone call. Susan Groenwald

The home was spectacular! There was plenty of room for all. The kitchen was top notch, sit down eating was generous, the amenities were appreciated, everything you could possibly need. We stayed in the fall and enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. We'd love to return in the summer to enjoy the pool. The property manager was kind and attentive. Hiking and restaurants in the area. Highly recommended.

The property was in excellent condition, and everyone was very happy with the house. This was our second visit since the house was overhauled and we can't say enough great things about it. Many thanks to Robin who stopped by to check on us and ended up figuring out that the TV remote needed new batteries. She even went out and bought some and then made sure the tv was working properly. Thanks again Robin and Ted for having us as guests.

The property was the perfect size for our large adult trip. Plenty of space and bathrooms. We all enjoyed the pool, however the hot tub water looked a little cloudy so while others felt ok going in, I did not. The house was clean, but could use some updating. Bottom line would stay again.

My extended family (20+ people) does reunions every year, so I have a lot of experience with large vacation rentals. This house provided a really excellent stay, and we are planning to come back next year, which says enough.
With 13 bedrooms, many of which are on the first floor, there are lots of ways to configure sleeping arrangements to accommodate the elderly, children, etc. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for a family that loves to cook with double fridges and dishwashers – we cooked in every meal during our week-long stay.
The pool is a huge hit and the beach is an easy walk, so you're covered whatever your water preferences are. Lots of indoor and outdoor gathering places for socializing.
Tim and Ted were easy to correspond with and check-in was seamless.
Highly recommended!

We had the absolute best time with our group of 16 adults and 9 kids in this house. It was the perfect place for us. Every room has its own bathroom and the space was wonderful. Ted was a breeze to work with and we’ve already planned to come back in a few years and make it a tradition for our group. We loved walking to the nearby beach and going to the breweries close by. Can’t recommend this presorts enough!

We visited for a Team Retreat, bringing a group together for team building, training, fun and relaxation. This property is absolutely gorgeous. Everyone had their own space and also the common areas are perfect for gathering. We utilized the amazing kitchen to it's fullest! I only wish we would have had more time to enjoy the firepit and hot tub. Great location, walking distance from the lake and close to small grocery for anything you need! The owners are very accommodating and took great care of us. They were even there to greet us at arrival and brought us dry wood and an extension cord when we were in need! A fantastic experience all the way around.

We loved staying at this house. Having so many bedrooms and private bathrooms made it a comfortable stay for our large group. The dinning room and bar room made for great spaces to relax and hang out together. The location is great, close to many vineyards and restaurants in the surrounding area. We’d definitely stay here again.

Ten of us (6 adults, 4 teens) stayed for a weekend of post-Holiday celebration. We could not have been more pleased. The place was immaculate, and the décor and furnishings were top notch. All of the beds were very comfy and came with plenty of pillows and blankets. The kitchen, equipped for much larger groups than ours, had every gadget and gizmo we would ever need and then some, many in duplicate, and all in excellent shape. We had wonderful family chats around the fireplace in the smaller family room, and the larger family room, with two televisions, kept the sports heads very content. We even made significant use of the outdoor hot tub, in the middle of January.
On check in, we were met by Ted, who walked us through a short tour of the premises and demonstrated the operating systems. I would like to tell you how responsive the owners were with addressing problems that arose during our stay, but we didn't have any problems. That said, they promptly answered our multiple pre-stay questions, so I have to believe that would be true during a stay as well. Always great to work directly with local owners that have such deserved pride in their house.
As for the locale, we found plenty to do, even in the off season. Union Pier has a number of great restaurants, and long walks north or south of the house reveal all sorts of interesting and varied homes and old inns. Some of us even ventured down to the beach, despite the chill, and enjoyed the views.
If you are wary of the proximity of the house to Red Arrow Highway and the railroad (I was, before our stay), don't be. The house is very well insulated from outside disturbances. Road noise was virtually non-existent, and while you could hear train horns generated by 4 to 5 passing trains per day, they were muted, and interrupted no one's sleep.
We all agreed that we would keep Lake Michigan R & R on our list of places to hold our annual family gathering in the future.

I really cannot say enough positive things about this rental. You always see things online and wonder if it can be as good as pictured and this is! We had a group of 15 women for a girls' weekend and this house was perfect because of all the bedroom and bathroom space. The kitchen and fridges came in so handy and the added amenities and little touches of decor made it so homey. The hosts were amazing to work with and made the weekend stress-free. The girls keep talking about how they already want to come back! Thank you for everything!

I brought 24 family and friends to celebrate the life of my heavenly sister. This place was perfect. All the bedrooms, bathrooms the gigantic kitchen with every appliance imaginable. The fireplaces(4), the jacuzzi tubs (in several rooms), and outdoor hot tub made everything perfect
We had a small hiccup, Robin the caretaker responded immediately. We will definitely be back.

My family - ranging in age from 4-71 - stayed at this beautiful house for a reunion week. There are 19 of us in all so finding a place with enough bedrooms is tricky. There were 3 bedrooms we didn’t even need! The kitchen was the best appointed we have ever rented. We’ve been gathering for over 30 years and this is by far the best place ever. Thanks to Tim for a wonderful property!

Our large group (18+ guests) has been spending a weekend together every Fall for the last 25 years. We have rented many large houses all up and down the Lake Michigan coast. The kitchen in this house was the best kitchen ever. Two refrigerators with ice makers and one with a wine cooler (big hit with the wine people). Two dishwashers. Large professional stove with two ovens and a large hood with lights and venting. Cabinets were filled with plates, bowls, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans, knives and a large drawer full of cooking utensils. There were two large sinks, one with a garbage disposal. The house was very clean when we moved in and everyone was very happy with the condition of the house. The back deck has a hot tub, swimming pool, excellent fire pit. The outside tables and chairs were deluxe. We can't recommend this place enough for a large group.

Lake Michigan R&R was a perfect location for our 49th Annual Pig Roast. We had a super time. The space was adequate for our various attendees. We would happily rent this place again.

We had a group of 10 employees who got together to enjoy a fall get away team trip and we had a blast! We had more than enough space and privacy with everyone able to have their own room and bathroom. The kitchen was amazing; 2 fridges, 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers, 2 outdoors grills, a double oven, crock pots, blenders, spices- really the total package to cook large meals and host a large group. We came during the off season and found the area to be cute and quiet and really enjoyed unwinding and escaping the hustle and bustle of the city life. Tim was an awesome host. He was very friendly and attentive, just a text away. We are already planning a visit next year and can't wait!
