Le paradis a Peneda-Geres

Nous avons tout aimé dans ce village vacances : l’emplacement mémorable, la maison confortable, le petit déjeuner varié, le restaurant délicieux (en supplément), les équipements adaptés aux enfants (mention spéciale pour la plage de la piscine idéale pour les tous petits), le personnel extrêmement gentil.

Foi tudo praticamente excelente. Desde a vista, comodidade e pequeno almoço.

Recomendaria aumentar a temperatura da piscina interior e adicionarem cobertores extra. Mas isto não denegriu de todo a nossa estadia. Foi excelente!

Todas as comodidades. Não precisa de sair do alojamento, tem tudo o que precisa. Atenção e simpatia dos funcionários é muito boa. Relação qualidade preço. Sossego e as vistas fantásticas

Acessos ao aldeamento. A rua que vai dar ao aldeamento depois de sair da principal é estreita e sem luz. Para quem quiser sair de noite é perigoso. Falta de luz também dentro do aldeamento. Depois de jantar no restaurante do aldeamento, tive dificuldades de encontrar a casa onde estava por não ter luz cá fora

O sítio é realmente incrível, com uma vista ótima e com um spa muito bom e bonito. Uma coisa que não vale a pena perder:

O que mais gostamos foi sem dúvida o spa e o pequeno almoço com Imensa variedade e funcionários simpáticos e prestáveis

O que gostamos menos foi os percalços que tivemos no primeiro dia! Talvez devido ao mau tempo, quando chegamos à casa estava gelada e o ar condicionado e a água quente não funcionavam. Isto com a nossa bebé de 3 meses connosco não foi nada bom. Contudo, a equipa de manutenção resolveu o problema com alguma rapidez dada as horas e o temporal. Mas achamos que o cuidado de verificar a casa atempadamente teria sido importante e teria evitado o nosso desconforto inicial

Ficou no nosso roteiro, a repetir.

A vista envolvente incrível.

O quarto (T1) onde ficámos (Outeiro) situa-se ao lado de outro semelhante (Cubo), os quais para o caso de haver um grupo grande, tem uma porta interior de acesso. A parede que divide esses dois alojamentos, é em pladur. Devido a esses dois fatores, há uma deficiência na insonorização. Havendo por exemplo do outro lado uma família com uma criança (sem horários), que foi o caso, houveram 2 noites com pouco sossego até às 00:30.

Gorgeous views don't always make up for poor service

It's such a fabulous location in Geres. The views couldn't get much better! The staff at the restaurant were super lovely and breakfast delicious. They provide. Great food delivery service to the property for those wishing to stay in. Even if the facilities weren't the most impressive, the spa service was really good too.

Front of house staff really unresponsive and deflecting most questions. We were quite disappointed to find out there was significant construction going on at the location, loud noises throughout the day and we were never informed that was going to be the case. Rubbish wasn't collected during our four-day stay.

Superb

The location and the view was exceptional. The room is big, clean and well equipped. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our vacation there and would love to come again.

There is a construction area right next to the hotel (I think it’s the hotel adding rooms) and it was noisy. All the extra services were quit expensive, and the truth is that it feels that the hotel charging for thing they should have provide (dishwasher tables, we got less than the days we stayed and they charged for extras).

Superb

A beautiful view over the range of mountains in front and the valley 2 hundred meters below. Relatively close to a city (Braga - 45 min) as well as to the reservation (30-90 min, depending on which part) In nature: quiet and relaxing. Spacious rooms. A very good in-house restaurant for dinner.

Staff ignorance regarding the tracking options in the reservation - could at least offer maps and direct you to good links for track selection. No daily cleaning.

Exceptional

Everything was perfect, from the place itself to the workers. Waking up in the morning with that view and then all the facilities makes you feel amazing. As a couple with a baby of 7 months, everyone helped from breakfast to dinner. To any request, I always had a quick reply from the place. The indoor pool is amazing to go with small baby/kids. Breakfast. From sweet to salty things, from eggs on request or just vegetables, there is for every taste. Same room, but as a restaurant, one of the best octopus I ate in my life. Every time I went there the food was marvelous. To come back for sure.

I liked everything. Impossible not to.

The hotel has a nice view over the river, beautiful infinity swimming pool and also an indoor pool, which our kid enjoyed very much. The rooms are clean and quite new.

1. Construction site next to our house with start of work at 8:00. 2. there is no iron in the whole hotel (only laundry service, when i just need to iron t-shirt) 3. no possibility to cook any kind of oatmeal (porridge) for breakfast for kid 4. no single salad in menu 5. management of hotel

A beautiful, private and well-appointed stay near the national park

We really enjoyed the beauty of this property and the incredible restaurant. It was a small house and was so comfortable! We enjoyed having places to sit and relax inside and outside. Given that there is not much nearby (not to walk to) it was helpful to have breakfast is included and you can eat in the restaurant in the evenings. The food was excellent and we ate there both nights of our stay. Wish it has been warmer because the outdoor infinity pool is incredible, and the spaces are thoughtfully designed and decorated. The staff was exceptional.

We found accessing some of the spa ammenties to be confusing, wished it was possible to borrow, or make available shower caps for guests. We would have liked to use the indoor pool/jacuzzi but did not have shower caps and so were unable to.

We stayed as a family of 4 during our winter vacation. If I had to name everything we loved I would never finish my review. Everything was excepcional, from the setting, the views, the grounds, the faciliities, the staff, the food,the beds. Absolutely stunning place!! We will try to come back again at least once a year.

High quality and attention to details

We had a very short stay, however during this time we had experienced some services. First of all, the house was immaculate clean. It really has everything you might need, the kitchen is very well equipped. The attention to details is amazing: even cutlery and other kitchen supplies drawer were strategically placed to look perfect. The restaurant offers a good variety of dishes, the portions are rather big and the price is very reasonable. But the most important - everything we tried was delicious and the service was great! We asked to deliver breakfast to our room which was very convenient and it was also delicious. The spa was quite good, including hammam, sauna and a very relaxing massage. They require to use swimming hats and slippers, however it’s possible to get it at the reception in case you don’t have any. And the most important: the staff were very sweet. They contacted me after my booking was made to ask if we would like to come a bit earlier, because the house was empty. Also they booked massage and restaurant in advance before our arrival. Everybody was helpful, friendly but also very professional. I really would like to come back to this place again, it has a quite unique feeling: you experience high quality yet you sense home.

Nice place in a beautiful location.

Amazing location. The view was simply spectacular. So close to the nature but easy to get from the highway too. Our house was really cozy and well equipped with everything you may need for a short stay. Very clean, comfortable and well maintained. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast had many options and was really tasty. Overall Pousadela Village is a great place to stay and I would come back.

I don’t mind leaving a caution but this procedure needs to be updated to modern times. After we left I got an email that they can’t process the refund in time they promised (24h) and I have to contact my bank about it. Last thing I want coming back from holidays is calling my account manager and spending a day solving this issue… In the winter the breakfast is held inside and the breakfast room was pretty small. There were only family with small children and the noise was like in a playground making me want to look for “adult only” type of place next time. Obviously the hotel is not responsible for 20 kids screaming at once when you’re trying to have some food but maybe knowing that it may be uncomfortable for some people the place could be enlarged or simply provide an option to have breakfast in the room without having to pay 15€ for it.

A splendid time at Pousedela Village.

A very unique property with breath taking views. We stayed in Outeiro house and it was beautiful, very clean and comfortable with the spectacular views that we will remember for a long time. The staff is friendly and efficient. We'd like to mention Miguel in particular as he helped us plan a day trip when he didn't need to at all. We felt like we were in a 5 star accommodation without the 5 star price tag. The pool is super clean with great views. The breakfast is so much more than anyone could ask for. The restaurant serves wonderful food. We much appreciate all the hard work that the staff do to maintain the property. If we get a chance to go back to this region, this will be the place we go back to. Thank you everyone at Pousedela for making our trip absolutely splendid. (Stuart, Jane and Saran)

The definition of bliss in Geres

We stayed in the Boavista cottage which is the best cottage at Pousadela, you have a stand alone place to yourself which feels very private with a giant terrace with the most incredible views of the mountains and river below. The cottage was beautifully furnished with excellent aircon which was important as it was very hot. The pool was fantastic, amazing views, just perfect to relax during the afternoon. The service was exceptional, everyone was very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were excellent, delicious choice of food options which we had in the outside dining area with the magnificent views. This place is perfect.

Quite a steep drive to Pousadela, make sure your car has sufficient power to climb the mountain to the top, the roads are rather hairy.

Peaceful heaven in Gerês.

We enjoyed the infinity pool and the restaurant quite a lot. The meals were very tasty, the staff very friendly and the view absolutely superb. The fact that you are given a gate key, so you can go in and out as you please, is also very good as you have your own autonomy without having to check in reception all the time.

Everything was lovely. We will certainly return.

A magical stay with beautiful views and incredible service!

My partner and I stayed at Pousadela Village for 2 nights as a base for exploring the national park and had an incredible time. The setting is breathtaking -- I couldn't stop taking pictures of the view. We loved our cottage too. It had modern amenities and tons of kitchen supplies but was also very comfortable and spacious. We briefly used the sauna on the property which was a nice perk. We didn't use either of the pools but they looked very nice. The best part though of our experience was the service by the staff. When I made the reservation I mentioned that my partner and I were vegan. Since Pousadela Village is in a somewhat remote area, I was hoping there would be something we could eat on site for breakfast and dinner. The staff assured us that we could be taken care of and they went above and beyond for us. They made specialty vegan meals for us for dinner as well as breakfast. These weren't simple or boring dishes either; they were extremely creative, flavorful, and thoughtful. Alvin in particular took great care of us at dinner on our first night there. However, all the staff we interacted with were wonderful! Not having to worry about food during our stay made everything so easy and we really appreciated their effort. This was a really magical stay and I hope we're lucky enough to be able to return here in the future. They're doing some renovations and adding some new stone lodging options in the hillside so I'm sure it will be even more amazing soon!

Breathtaking view, comfortable houses, very good breakfast and restaurant.

The property, the amazing view, the infinity pool, the restaurant, the quietness and, in general, the staff. Very good breakfast.

The only thing I didn’t like was when there was some confusion at the restaurant kitchen, the issue would be addressed loudly between one senior member of the staff and the rest. It was inconvenient and made the guests uncomfortable.

magical little escape in Gerez!☺️

the most breath taking view and the restaurant and bar is a plus. breakfast is also very good and staff are friendly and attentive.

the rooms smelled of fresh paint and it was a little hard to breathe at times. the house must have just been renovated. there was also some construction work going on during the week which made it a little noisier than usual. would still highly recommend! and would return for certain!
