We stayed for 5 nights in this beautiful house. It has so much character and charm. It’s older but that’s what makes it so special. Sitting outside on the patio enjoying our coffee each morning was the best! It was so relaxing and peaceful. The neighborhood is quiet. The view is amazing. The host was wonderful! It was the little things that they paid attention to that are what made our stay so warm and welcoming. We would definitely stay at this house with Roger as a host again!

Lots of space around the house and nice landscaping.
A large kitchen. Overall a nice place to stay

Very roomy and well designed home. Comfortable stay for our large adult family of 7 with 2 more locals visiting.

The property was absolutely fantastic for our family. An abundance of room inside and outby the pool. The dining room table and the living space overall was perfect for our family. Thank you Roger for your help and quick contact and for being informative about the place and the local area. Nice write up on the counter of places to go and things to do.

We've stayed here before and every time we love it. Beautiful home surrounded by beautiful views!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The history and architecture really were the crown jewel of our stay but the outdoor space and proximity to everything made it the perfect spot. Keep in mind this is a mid century modern home that is 70 some years old so expect a unique experience. Loved it!

House is pretty cool but definitely needs a lot of maintenance and TLC. Has a fun vibe and suited our needs

Our family (including family dog) loved staying in this home. The house, although showing a bit of deferred maintenance, was loaded with character and charm. And the views! Where do I start - absolutely stunning vistas from every window. Quiet, private, beautifully landscaped. We look forward to returning to this home!

Beautiful classic Tuscon home. Great location close to amenities yet secluded enough for quiet walks from the house

We stayed here to celebrate my grandma's 96th birthday. The house is well suited for the elderly (all one level). The covered patio and pool area is absolutely lovely! The house is from the 1950s and my grandma actually knew the Udall family who lived here! We had a great time! The house is well equipped, the beds are comfy, everything looked clean. There's some wear and tear due to age but nothing that causes issues. I'd definitely stay here again! And Roger was very helpful and always responded via phone or text. Great place!

This home evokes a certain feeling about Tucson. The Natural setting is amazing. You are greeted by the cooing mourning doves, and the delicate scent of jasmine, against the beautiful backdrop of the Catalinas and that makes it perfect for enjoying just being there. The home is equip with all you need and gobs of pool floats made it so much fun! Roger was a super host and easy to communicate with. If you are looking for bling & luxe, maybe this isn't quite it...but it's a wonderful part of Tucson's foothills community-just what we were after.

What a wonderful home. We loved the privacy and the layout of the home. Also a very large kitchen to accomodate all of our cooking as well. We definately will be stayiing her again. Roger the owner was extremely friendly and answered all of our questions.

We loved our stay at this property. The views, amenities, and location were all wonderful. The beds could have been more comfortable, but that’s truly the only thing that could be considered a complaint.

Beautiful western ranch architectural design, great location for view and access to stores, shops, restaurants, trails, etc. Neighborhood was great for morning walks. We enjoyed the pool and rec room amenities. The panoramic views from property were impressive. Lots of windows, loved that!
The house could use some updates or at least some repair in cabinetry, both kitchen and master bath. It would have been nice if there were two beds in at least one room, two of our kids slept on the couch covered with sheets and blankets and found it comfortable (not a sleeper sofa).

Spent a great spring break here with family. The layout of the house is great for a group, and the kids loved the pool. If you like mid-century architecture, you will love this house.

This is truly a Mid Century Home with all the design quirks and fun. We were prepared (and appreciate) to find doors that squeak and small bedrooms/bathrooms. If you don’t enjoy historical homes, with their character, then this is not the home for you. We had a great time! Wonderful Saguaros, beautiful views and a Christmas Day visit from a pair of curious Bobcats! Nature at its best. Roger could not have been nicer or more helpful. Even had a Christmas tree up, along with decorations. We were there 8 days, some working a couple of days. Internet was perfect. Really a timeless home with quite the history. We look forward to our next trip.

Amazing home and setting at the base of the foothills , ..private, spacious and an absolute desert experience. Convenient for both shopping and outdoor recreation with great communicative host. Loved the homes unique design and huge windows and pool. Lots of space for our family of 8. Thank You.

The place could have been cleaner, safety issue in the pool room with the stairs (no safety gate at the top of the stairs) almost fell down the stairs. Spoiled food in frig. Frig and barbecue were dirty. No additional TP in the bathrooms. Bedding was not very nice. Countertops were dirty.

We stayed 4 nights with girlfriends at this house, was a great location - private and beautiful views from every window and door (amazing how many windows and doors!). It was a great size, we had a lot of room. The owner was super helpful and nice and so accessible. We had no problem checking in and out, he made it super easy. Thank you SO much! Would recommend.

Great property in a great location. Close to campus and amenities but yet a rural feel (house is on a gravel road). Host was easy to work with and answered questions right away. We had to skim a few scorpions out of the pool - but hey its AZ! Wifi worked fine except in the master bedroom. Family loved the tv room and pool table. Would return!

The house is great for family get togethers. The location is especially good if you are new to Tucson. The size of the house accommodates a family well plus pool and pool table. Built in entertainment- Definitely a lovely stay.

Loved it! Roger was a great host, and the house itself was awesome!

House was probably nice at one point, but is very poorly maintained. Kitchen cabinets and drawers are all stuck and warped, bathroom mirror is cracked, shower drains are clogged and fill up with 6 inches of water during your shower. Bathroom sinks are also clogged. We found 3 dead mice outside on the patio and several roaches and scorpions in the family room. The WIFI is extremely slow and only works when you are about 6 feet from the modem. It doesn't work in any of the bedrooms or family room and had no cell service with Verizon. The owner provided zero instructions about the pool and then charged us a huge penalty against our damage deposit for removing a robotic vaccum from the pool that made it unusable. All of the bedroom doors open onto a patio and none of them have working locks. Had to put suitcases up against the door so intruders couldn't enter. Not maintained by someone who cares.

This beautiful home is set high in the foothills where you can see wonderful sunrises and sunsets! Quiet neighborhood and close enough to walk to shops, restaurants and the river walk!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and unique home. It's so private and tranquil and a great place to recharge. You feel away from it all but it's also so close to everything you need in the Tucson area. We were a multi-generational family and it was a great place for us to be together but have our space too. The kids loved the pool table! Dealing with Roger was a breeze. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Our family with three kiddos aged 3-11 and two doggos absolutely loved our stay for spring break. Of course the pool was a hit, and the MCM design and grounds were sublime. Its an older house, and not every detail was perfect on some closet doors and other handyman type things, but the location, design and function far outweigh these minor issues. We hope to return, we're an avid mtn. biking and rock climbing family, and this place was the perfect base for spring adventuring. Roger is a great host and communication was smooth. Highly recommend (except in March when we want it again).

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. Great hiking, nature, and seclusion.

The house itself was very cool. It is clear there is a lack of matinence on the property, there were 6 of the 9 light bulbs in the kitchen out, made it difficult to cook. Both showers are plugged and fill to the rim, so you are standing in water 3” deep, uck! Most of the outside doors don't open. We went to cook lunch and no propane. It is so disappointing to stay in these homes, only to find them so run down!

We spent 5 nights at this amazing house and it was perfect for us. Our group of friends were looking for a place to escape the cold MN winter and the stress of covid and this place did the trick! The house makes you step back into time and feel like you're in the 1950's. It has the character of an old home, so as some other reviewers said if you are looking for something real modern this might not be the place for you. We loved the charm of the entire house. It was incredibly clean and was well stocked for us. The beds were very comfortable. One of our friends was working remotely so she set up her office and slept in the family room and was very comfortable. The yard is a true oasis. We weren't lucky enough to see any wildlife. It was extremely private despite being in a neighborhood.
The location of the house is also excellent. Every amenity that you could want is within a 5 mile radius in addition to hiking and many other opportunities to see Tucson.
Roger was an incredible host. He was helpful and very responsive. We had some questions during our stay and he always answered right away and was there to help. We would definitely come back and rent here again.

We were impressed with the property and it's history. I can picture the Udall's living there in the 50's! This area of Tucson has always been my favorite with the views of the Catalina Mountains and the surrounding area.

We enjoyed our five night stay. We chose it because it was large, with everything on a single level. We have a family member in a wheelchair and a ranch style was necessary.
The interior is as described in previous reviews. The outdoor areas had beautiful views and the weather was lovely. It was very private, even though there are other homes nearby.
During the preparation of our Thanksgiving meal, we had the kitchen door to the courtyard open and a bobcat nonchalantly walked up, peered in and casually walked away when we all ran to see it. It was a beautiful sight to see.
There were a couple of situations where I had to contact the owner, both caused by myself, and Roger was most gracious dealing with them.
Overall, our experience was great.

I selected this home because of the open living space, both indoors and out. The wall of sliding glass doors in the spacious living room slid completely open to allow for everyone, including the family members not in our bubble, to social distance in this time of Covid, and that was very important to us. The house itself is early 1950s, and thus comes with character, which we love. The tile floors throughout were great and the furnishings perfect for the space and feel of the home. A house of that vintage does mean, however, that continual upkeep is necessary, and certain things were a little tired, but nothing that really detracted from our stay. Roger, the owner, met us upon arrival and gave us the lay of the land and was only a phone call away when my husband got lost, even with WAZE, when going out for food. (Don't let that be a concern. The house is really not that difficult to find and was most convenient to the wedding site we were visiting, restaurants, etc.) If ever in Tucson again, we would be delighted to be repeat guests.

The house is cool, has some history to it and is definitely set up to relax and entertain. It is older, so if you're looking for a pristine luxury mansion, look elsewhere and expect spend more money. The pool pump and filter are weak and the floor could probably do with a resurfacing, so we were skimming daily in order to use the pool without swimming around in too much debris. The grounds are rural and you are very much in the desert so lots of wild life: javelina (wild pigs), hummingbirds, road runners, large lizards, bunnies, mice, hawks, and even a tarantula visited us outside, but no critters in the house! When in the desert you have to be ok with some of the wilder things outside. The main slider doors worked great, the secondary rooms with sliders out didn't open, but it was ok given it was hot and we wouldn't have really used them much, plus better to keep out the creepy crawlies. If you bring dogs they can roam the back yard pretty safely as it's fenced in well, however the front area and side yard near the game room are connected and while it is technically fenced in there is a breachable area that our little escape artist found, which made for a not so fun game of chase the dog in the desert night. The beds weren't super comfy, and the bathrooms were a little dated, the master sink is hard to use with the cabinet right above it. There were a few random things that were broken, rickety or in need of adjustment. We were ok with it all based on the age of the house. We felt it was all part of the character and charm of being in this old historic desert house. But we still left super happy!! The best parts of the house are the giant kitchen, the covered patio, the deep diving pool, ample space to spread out. The game room was a nice place to getaway from the rest of the house too and acted as a retreat from the active side of the house, perfect for reading a book or watching a movie. In summary, if you can live with a few inconveniences given the age of the home and want space to really spread out and relax this is a great find. I also believe the owners are continuously updating the home so will only get better with time. 50's era charm, scenic, spacious and a fun desert getaway!

We stayed in this wonderful home for nearly weeks. The layout is great. The pool is refreshing, and fun for teens as well as relaxing for adults. Views everywhere! All manner of desert critters are around! We had such fun here. The owners were great and responded quickly to any need we had.

Nice historic home in a great central location and yet still very private and quiet! Roger was a great host! The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked. My family had a great time cooling off in the pool during the day and enjoying the beautiful views and sunsets in the evening.
