About this cabin rental

The spacious log cabin overlooks the Woodford River on the Shannon-Erne waterway in the heart of the Cavan/Leitrim Lakeland. It is approximately 4 miles from the town of Ballyconnell where there are shops, pubs and restaurants. There are opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing and boating on site and close to the area there are golf courses and horse riding. The cabins are about a half-hour drive from Cavan town with cinema, swimming pool and parks, etc. Enniskillen and Marble Arch caves are a short drive away, and there are also forest parks and castles to explore in the nearby countryside.

The cabin is wheelchair accessible and there is a ground-floor bedroom and en-suite shower room. Upstairs there is another double bedroom and a twin, so 6 people can sleep comfortably, there is also an upstairs mezzanine area with a double sofa bed. Travel cots are also available on request. Downstairs there is an open-plan kitchen/living area with log-burning stove, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer and electric hob and oven. There is a utility room with washing machine and there are 2 TV/DVD players plus a selection of books and board games, for quality family time.

Bedlinen and towels are provided free of charge and we also provide pots, pans, plates, dishes and cutlery - everything you need for your stay. There is a veranda and balcony with outdoor seating so you can sit outside with a glass of wine and watch the boats go by, while keeping an eye on the children playing on the lawn in front. We have a selection of bikes available for you to use during your stay so your break can be invigorating as well as relaxing!

Lovely cabin in the woods, came with all the little extras you often don't think to pack (e.g. towels, condiments, cleaning products, books, DVDs, toys, baby equipment etc). Can't help but relax here, especially on the veranda in the evening, which has a patio heater if needed. No wifi & 6km from town meant my kids aged 15, 13 & 4, took to exploring the woods, finding frogs, playing games, watching DVDs with family while 'home'. Conveniently located within a short distance from many outdoor activities- we also went kayaking, hiking, saw the Marble arch caves, clay pigeon shooting and had a day in Enniskillen (just 35 mins drive), where the kids had the novelty of using pounds instead of euros. Thanks so much for the use of your holiday home Gloria, we'll be back!

Our riverfront cabin was the perfect holiday! The cabjn was immaculate and had fantastic facilities, the boys loved the jacuzzi bath and it was great having the slide and swings in the garden and access to the free bikes for the kids to play with, I would give 5 stars out of 5! We can't wait to go back!

Fabulous break we had a wonderful time in this state of the art property this is a fully equipped full functional home ,could not have been better and as for the wood burning stove you could be anywhere in the world highly recommended we will return. *****
