This a great location to visit Sequoia National Park. Close to shopping and restaurants. I would suggest bring some food with you as the shopping is limited. The kitchen is nice with a grill on the deck. .

Definitely not a family place it's full of spiders bugs you also can tell that the carpet has not been cleaned or the outside have been maintenance or cleaned in a long time definitely is surface clean and tidy but tons of bugs

We mostly just slept there as we spent most of our time in the National Park, but it was comfortable and clean.

Adequate for families. Quiet, parts of home was apparantly added on over time. Easy misstep from living area to kitchen. Dishes not microwave safe. Imagined cooking steaks on the grill while looking at the river. No view of the river as it was behind a fence. No real choice for grocery purchases.
Loved the Master bedroom and deck. Obviously a lot of money invested in those. Kitchen appliances very nice.

Just poor communication with manager...

Cabin was in a very good location. Close to everything, more than big enough for a family of 4. Before booking saw reviews about place not being clear and spider web's. Not the case cabin was clean and yes you saw web's around the outside, you are in the woods. Will definitely try to go back this spring. My family and I felt at home.

Was very convenient to the Foothills entrance to Sequoia NP. The property is an excellent value and can easily accommodate a family of 4. Suggest bringing bottled water. Has limited kitchenware, so suggest bringing your own. Lots of deer in the area. Drive safe

Overall, the house was okay and the responsiveness of the owner was great. When we had a problem with the coffee pot he took care of it right away. Kitchen, bedroom and bath were all good, though the bath could have used a bit more light. Nice to have a patio. The outside of the house/yard were not well maintained; we couldn't open the bedroom window because the screen was full of cobwebs. We were a bit surprised to find the property was not nearer to the main street of Three Rivers as we had understood from the description. Overall, it worked out fine.

Comfortable bed. Room to spread out. Nice deck.
Needs a good cleaning. Water isn’t drinkable.
Take your own water and ice.

Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay. The peaceful and beautiful surroundings are the stars of the show, so to speak. Another huge plus is that it is close to the Sequoia National Park entrance and the nice deck in the backyard. We also saw deers and wild turkeys on the property. So if you’re looking to get away from the city and enjoy nature and want a peaceful and secluded stay with very competitive rates, this is an ideal property. However, I wouldn’t choose this property for an extended stay. The cons of the property: lots of cobwebs all over the property, the water stinks, the water in the shower does not appear to get hot, very dim lighting and the property is in general, outdated.

Loved the quite and safe of the property. Would come back again. The only thing bad was the smell of the water. It has a rustic smell. But very nice over all.

The cabin was clean and well kept. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio surrounded by mountains and we could hear the nearby stream. There is a market and several good restaurants nearby and the cabin is close to the Sequoia NP entrance.

The house was spotlessly clean. The host responded quickly and accommodated our arrival plans. The kitchen is well stocked. It's in a quiet, secluded area -- with a beautiful deck for sitting outside before it gets too hot!

Inside was clean . There were gaps under front door and many bugs came in at night . The person that slept on the bed near there was bit by something on her face and arms . Not sure if ants that we did have to spray or spiders. The next day we sprayed Had to clean cob webs and tables outside to sit. We pay a cleaning fee I would assume they would hose down the patio of webs and clean the table and chairs . We had to clean it ourselves to sit outside . The BBQ does not work so was not able to use. Would not light . Everything else worked well. House was comfortable and well stocked for towels and kitchen, blankets etc..

We were impressed with the cleanliness of this property. It has a homey, cozy feeling, very comfortable for four people. It is outside of town, and every night the deer would come to visit. We had a wonderful stay!

I’m all for paying a cleaning fee, but in return I expect a clean place to stay in. This place has not been cleaned in a very long time. The build up along the edges of the floor was disgusting. The kitchen floor was literally dirty. While we were being shown the place, I noticed mouse poop on the kitchen table. When I asked about it, the reply was “could be, you are in the mountains”. What? I have spent a lot of time camping, in the mountains, and growing up up on farms, and NEVER has the attitude been of nonchalance if mice were in the house, let alone crawling all over the kitchen table and kitchen counters which were ridden with mouse poop. Bugs were everywhere , including flying into my daughters face and crawling on us as we tried to watch a movie. I picked up bug carcasses off of the carpet. The shower water was cold. Cobwebs are EVERYWHERE - in the windows, and in the corners throughout the house. There was hair on our sheets, and small bugs in the bed (but not bedbugs). If we had an option to leave and stay elsewhere we would have, and I’ve never seen my teenagers get ready so fast in the morning - they couldn’t wait to get out of there. Reading reviews of other places and hotels,
cleanliness seems to be an issue. I cannot
recommend this place under any circumstances, and nothing could entice me to stay again. It would be worthwhile to bite the bullet and spend a little extra to stay somewhere nicer.

A peaceful getaway for our Sequoia/KCNP visit
We loved our time at South Fork Serenity! It was a very peaceful end after long days of exploring Sequoia and Kings Canyon. Our favorite part was the patio at the beginning of our trip (we spent a week) but the temps began to go up and the mosquitoes came out so we had to adjust. We made all of our meals at "home" because we were just exhausted and needed some down time. We had everything we needed for meals but I would suggest you purchase bottled water and ice as I personally did not like the well water taste. Refill your water bottles at visitor centers. As you can see from the pictures, it is a little dark and dated but it is a cabin type setting so it should be expected. The living space is cool (the air is a blessing), the kitchen is large with everything you need, the washer and dryer were an added bonus and the bedroom was quiet and comfortable. An added bonus was the gas grill which we used serveral times. Lots of bird action: California quails, acorn woodpeckers, Steller Jay's and mule deer were fun to watch. Also, check in at the visitor center to confirm which trails are open during your visit. Enjoy this special place and the stunning national parks!!

The property is close to Sequoia National park and a great little coffee shop. Upon arrival the host was super aggresive with his approach when he saw that I was with my 3 boys and asking where they were going to sleep. Charged an extra $120 dollars and said that we were lucky he didn't cancel the reservation and make us leave. He threatened to be back and "Deal with it" if I didn't handle the extra payment right away. -- He added that it wasn't him, but his brother and sister that are the owners that make the rules.

Perfect!
We absolutely loved this place! It was perfect for our small family of myself, wife, and toddler. The location is very nice, tucked off the main road and very private and quiet. I would have loved to enjoy the yard more but it was pretty hot so we stayed inside most of the time but the grill was great and cooked dinner on it every night. The interior was great, very spacious and easily kept cool even when it was 90+ out. The kitchen was fully stocked and had pretty much everything I needed for dinner which was great. Location wise, it was a short drive to the entrance of Sequoia and about an hour and twenty minutes up to the Giant Forest. We spent all 3 days there in the park during the day and got back around 2-3PM and hung out the rest of the day. This was place amazing and Jeff the owner was great and super helpful with whatever we needed. If I was going to visit again, I would absolutely want to stay here and would recommend it to anyone interested in visiting the area.

This home was very comfortable and it has everything you need. (except maybe a box of kleenex & a pizza cutter... lol) It was a secluded, quiet area and very convenient to area activities. The Master bedroom mattress was very comfortable.

This cabin was a great in the woods cabin. Close to the Village Market, which has fresh orange juice you can squeeze from local farms. The cabin offered plenty of space and everything we needed, even if we didn't bring it on our own. The only downfall for us was that we have a long bed F250 and parking was not fun. I had to do a 30- point turn every time we came back maybe if they took out that fenced area on the corner it would be easier for larger trucks. Besides that the two fridges was amazing. My daughter loved the chickens from next door visiting and wildlife. Great atmosphere and great communication with owner. Thanks for the stay.
