About this house rental
A perfect lake front get-away on Lake Keowee in Seneca South Carolina! Relax by the pool overlooking the lake, or on the front porch in the shade doing the same. The pool can be heated for an additional charge.
This single-story home has been newly renovated to include a modern updated kitchen with lots of workspace and dedicated coffee bar.
The kitchen overlooks the pool, deck and almost half mile view up the lake. It is the perfect place to entertain guests, while still being able to keep an eye on the kids in the pool (of course, kids should never swim unsupervised). The backyard is fenced in as well perfect for all your furry friends!
There are 5 bedrooms total sleeping 18 guests in beds. Two have king beds, two have queen beds, and the fifth is the bunk room. It contains 4 bunk beds - two twin over twins, and two twin over fulls.
Out front, the lot is mostly level and covered in grass, perfect for a volley ball net or whatever. There is a large dock to tie your boat to, and a boat ramp on the property to launch and retrieve your boats or jet skis. Alternatively, the marina is only a couple hundred yards up the street, so is the Tiki Hut, a local bar and grill. However, it is private, so you'll need to get a membership in advance.
There are many shops and unique restaurants right up the road. With Clemson University about 8 miles away, and even on game day, traffic is not bad from this direction. If the outdoors is for you there are quite a few hiking trials and waterfalls to visit in the nearby area. Chattooga River is only about 30 minutes and offers some fantastic whitewater rafting for any skill level.

Love the one floor living. The bedrooms are spread out which is nice for privacy and noise. Large nicely stocked kitchen. We loved the pool and the lake views! The master bedroom is great with a huge lovely bath. My only complaint is the master bed mattress is too soft.

Loved this property, beds were comfy, pool great! Manager was very attentive when we called and needed some assistance. House is still under renovations and not quite done but updates are nice, it really needs a deep cleaning of floors but we would stay again.

Lake Keowee is absolutely beautiful. Whether skiing, swimming, tubing or just cruising it is a stress free water environment for all ages.
The children and teenagers enjoyed the pool and were happy to have their “animal siblings” with them.
The floor plan of the house allowed us to separate grandchildren, adults and grandparents. That was a significant plus.

We have stayed on the lake many time. This place has been the best. Nice quiet cove but close to the main channel. The marina is just on the other side of the peninsula. Close to anything you need. Just an awesome place. We will definitely be staying here again.

The view of the lake was amazing! Sunrises are soooo beautiful! The house was very nice, spacious, and in a location close to everything you could want; restaurants, shopping, hiking trails, lakes all around. The dogs really loved the fenced back yard.

We love the home and the location. Within minutes of everything. The view of the lake was great from the big front porch and the pool deck area house well laid out for large groups, driveway large enough to accommodate 5 vehicles. Kitchen was very nice with lots of room and well designed. We had a great time and would definitely rent this property again.

Perfect place for us to stay with our kids and grandkids. We have stayed all over the lake for the last 20 years and really loved the convenience of being close to grocery, restaurants and Clemson. The mountain view in the distance from the property is also surprisingly nice. The fenced yard was also wonderful for kids and pets.

The property is definitely going in the right direction and improvements are underway but unfortunately not completed.
Observed disappointments, minimal TV service, advertised stereo system not functional, odor in garage, one bath low water pressure, unfinished renovations, no railings on dock, tub master bath not functional, some left over dirt prior occupants, non-functional ceiling fan outside porch.
Once these shortcomings are resolved will be a great place at a great price. In its current condition believe price should be discounted.

The property was lovely and perfect for a multigenerational gathering. The property is all on 1 level which was ideal. We were able to have a noisy side with kids and a quieter side for those who need extra space. Jeff was great and very responsive to an early check-in. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. The pictures and verbiage were misleading. Weeds in gutters, dog hair, mildew, and overall condition was very poor and disappointing. Obviously we won't stay here again. Overpriced isn't even a good description until it gets some maintenance and cleaning

Good place to stay. Perfect for our K-9. Cosmetic attention to property (lawn maintenance, weeds, shrubs) would add so much shine to the grounds as well as new pool loungers… sharp, rusty edges can cause injury. The house is in a PERFECT location and the lake view is spectacular! If you have kids and a pup… this is definitely a place to consider. You can truly feel the warmth of family within this location. The rooms are big, bathrooms are updated (could not get the jets to work on tub) and the covered porch is simply the best!!! The kitchen is truly a focal point. The appliances are all new and were clean. The stove hood was missing the control panel cover and the stove light did not work. There is (2) washers and (2) dryers: perfect for big families!! We wanted to grill but the grill needed major attention and we did not have any grill cleaning materials. We will definitely reserve again and have already passed info along to our friends and family. Thanks for sharing!!

Easter with extended family
The house is perfect for large group - lots of beds and space to put stuff with a big kitchen for gathering. The dock and boat launch were so convenient for the SeaDoo we brought. We stayed in April so the weather was a little chilly to use the pool but it was a beautiful setting. We walked to the Tiki Hut and house is close to grocery stores. We hope to stay again!

Awesome vacation location
There were 13 in our family to stay. Overall it was wonderful! We will definitely be back next year. The house was VERY clean. The shallow and deep water dock were very enjoyable, not to mention the pool!!! Accommodations were pleasing to everyone. Despite a minor issue with the HVAC and extreme heat(not a HVAC problem)… and a tweak in the house with renovations in the lower level(no longer a part of the available home). The host was very prompt any time we text.
Our stay was wonderful! I guess next year, this grandma will have to bunk in with the kids again!
Loved every minute and wasn’t ready to leave it behind.

Amazing Spring Break
Yes the kids were popsicles in the pool and lake… but loved it and weren’t slowed down at all! The house is in a great location and was perfect for our extended family get away. All 15 of us plus the 4 fur babies fit perfectly in the not so perfect house, which makes you feel right at home. Who’s place doesn’t need some tender love and care, right? Haha. Kitchen well stocked with all the necessities and the pool just out the kitchen door is absolutely divine for parents and kids alike. Thanks Mr. Ross, for sharing your lake home with us. We hope to be back again one day.

Nice Thanksgiving
Comfortable. Great sunrise views; lake view from most rooms. Big kitchen in center of house. Fenced back yard & huge front porch kept my little dog safe. Had to manually light cooktop burners each time. Exhaust hood switch panel broken -and no light over cooktop.

Large Family Group
We rented this house for a large family vacation for 16. The house was Big enough for all of us, we appreciated the huge kitchen and the outdoor grill as we decided to prepare all meals in. The views of the lake with sunrises from the front porch were beautiful. We rented a boat for the week and enjoyed exploring the gorgeous lake every day. The pool was a wonderful addition that we made full use of. The fenced yard was so nice for our pup . All the reviews mention the maintenance issues and needs and we agree that it needs some TLC. The front porch could use a fan and more seating. The pool area could use a couple more umbrellas, we northerners were fighting over spots of shade. We had gorgeous weather so we were all outside all day but if we had needed to be indoors seating was limited for a group as large as ours. We ventured into Seneca Thursday evening for Jazz on the Alley and had a blast! Great band, food trucks, keeowe brewery and lots of tables and chairs., Super fun! Our large group all agreed it was a 5 star family trip we made a ton of wonderful memories

Last Hurrah at the Lake
Property is very spacious and well appointed with the essentials. It is an older property and could benefit from maintenance and a few upgrades here and there (especially the bathrooms).
But, for our family, it was perfect. Kids had a blast in the pool and the lake. Marina is within walking distance, which is very convenient for boat rental. Yard is fenced in and ideal for dogs.
Neighborhood and cove is very quiet, serene, and uncrowded.
We had an excellent time!

The house was clean and an excellent view of the water with kayaks and a well-maintained dock.
The only cons were that the bunk beds were broken and unable to be used on top and the pool light did not work. We ended up having to buy inflatable mattresses to sleep everyone.

Great pool and dock!
We really enjoyed our stay, but there are a few items I think could help others in making a choice in the future. We LOVED the fact that this property has its own ramp and dock - super convenient! We also had a wonderful time in the inground pool and appreciated being able to bring our dog and relax with the fenced-in backyard. These are luxuries that are hard to find packaged in one place! The kitchen was also well-equipped for our group of 11. There were plenty of dishes and all the cooking items we needed. We found it a little disconcerting that maintenance issues had not been addressed. Although the owner clearly states that the property is NOT in pristine condition, there were things like broken door handles and burners on the stove not igniting that had been mentioned in reviews 9 months ago -- still not addressed. Also not really an easy setup for toddlers and crawling babies. There are some hazards that made it difficult. Those things are no big deal for a group of adults, but bringing babies was not ideal at this house. Overall, it is easy to enjoy this place with the nice pool, good lake access, and stunning views. You just need to know in advance that it is not well maintained.

Scenic get away
The house was roomy enough for 7 adults and 5 kids. The porch was so inviting, looking over the lake. Kids caught fish off the dock, went tubing , water skiing, and paddle boarding. The pool in the back yard was a great addition for after dinner swims when it got too dark to trust the kids in the lake. Overall a great vacation spot quiet yet within a mile of The grocery store and Seneca.

This house was great for our needs. Location was great, views were great, plenty of space for our family.

Great Group House on Beautiful Lake
Easy drive to Clemson and shared house with another family and some friends of our children. Rented a boat which was easy because the Marina is walking distance. House was large single story with lots of property to spread out. Only note for improvement would be to get the remote situation figured out for the TVs. We were able to figure it out but it took a little fiddling around.

Great location
I must say I had very high expectations. I overall enjoyed the house, pool and boat dock. The issues were with the house. It was overall clean but there was some things wrong, the bathroom smelled like musty from the wet rugs that were there long term, no TV remotes, the door to the pool broken, one door you couldn't lock at all, you only had one working burner on the stove. Not big things however, I felt like this property was priced where everything should be maintained well. The cleaning lady stated she had all these things on the list to be fixed already. I also have to say that it was 5 mins before check out and the cleaning lady knocked on the door and told us we had to leave, she needed to clean and it wasn't even 11 yet and we were just getting our last stuff and baby awake from her nap. I enjoyed it but I will rent somewhere else next time.

This was a great house for our family visit. Having a pool and lake gave us lots of fun options for cooling off. The house is comfortable and Jeff is very quick to respond and very accommodating.
