I liked the private onsen, it was always available for us to use! The room was also good, very spacious, and the bedding was the best on our trip to Japan. We also used the garden, when the weather was nice, and it had a view of Mt. Fuji and a place to sit in the sun.
Other accommodations helped us with luggage forwarding, except this one. We were told to do it ourselves at the nearby post office, but we found the forms to be intimidating to fill out on our own. Not a big minus, and I kinda understand - it's a tiny hotel, but still something to consider beforehand if you have big luggage.

Loved the property, and the staff was absolutely wonderful! The onsen was such a fun experience!
The bathroom facilities were shared.

Excellent Japanese environment! The staffs are friendly. A large grassland is behind the hostel. The 24-h hot spring and recreation room are good! We can rent bikes to go around the Lake.

Fantastic hotel; location, views, rooms, private onsen, massage chair (only in the left onsen!), coin laundry and small shop with cup noodles - everything was there and worked out great. It was clean and cozy.
The room walls are quite thin, you can hear everything happening on the hallway.

The host are too good. Also, our garden view room had a view of Mount Fuji! Loved everything about this place, 10/10

Amazing place to stay if you want to have a bit of traditional Ryokan feeling. The room was great, very clean and quite big for Japanese standards. The private Onsen were also a great experience and a must when in Japan. With great weather you will be able to wake up with the view on Mount Fuji.
It is also very easy to reach Kawaguchiko by bus for any day activity you might wish for.

The environment of surrounding is very peaceful and facing Fujiyama

I booked Hatago Tsubakiya for my parents' first trip to Mt. Fuji. The private hot spring, the free bike rental service and the Japanese-style room, they made our experience extraordinary! They absolutely loved their stay! The place is also easy to access, only 5mins walk to Yamanakako Lake. If you ever stay here, I recommend biking around Yamanakako Lake for a fantanstic view of Mt. Fuji.
There's nothing to complain

Excellent facilities and service
location if you don't drive

The room is in Japanese style with shared toilet and wash basin. The hotel is close to a coach stop in Yamanako. The location is very convenient. I borrowed a bike from the hotel for free and circled the lake, 14 km.
No breakfast provided by the hotel.

They don't serve meals but they supply dishes, glasses, cutleries, ice cubes, almost anything you need to have some meal at dining room.Besides there were UNO,othello, some sort of games to kill times.and in downstairs we enjoyed playing table tennis and billiards.they have two shared baths and you need to do is just writing a room number on the list of time.you can take a bath alone with your company.the bath was large enouguh for a family.

Found a bug but being in the mountains, that didn’t bother me much. What we did find was, it seemed, like a mouse dropping on the bed.
