Location is great. Second time staying.
4.1
Comfortable, well situated for the beach, plenty of room for a family of 3. Liked the layout of the house was really convenient for a family holiday.
Sofas were a little low for us but that is an extremely subjective opinion & everything else was great.
4.1
The Terraced house is a few minutes walk to the beach and likewise to the shops. Locals were friendly and helpful. There were some supplies in the cupboards. Good selection of pots, pans, cooking utensils etc.
The property is for up to six people, but the matresses on the bunk beds are too thin for adults. Some of the knives and folks came off their handles.

Excellent everything was spot on we all enjoyed the break

The location, good size, how equipped it was with everything anyone could want or need. We loved the little touches like the games, magazines, books and dvds.
The shower was below expectations and the beds were uncomfortable. the light in the bathroom flickered and then went out each time which scared the children.

Great location, house was clean and comfortable. The host was contactable and very helpful. Facilities were perfect for a family stay.
Decoration etc was slightly dated but this didn’t affect the quality of our stay.
4.1
Clean. Nice location near the beach.

The cottage was large and very clean. Had everything you need and close to beach and a little walk to shops and pubs.
Didn't like the beds they made to much noise when turning over. The main bed was a slatted one. Not for me. The other thing was the cooker. Oven hadn't be clean for some time. So we didn't use it.

Lovely home and near the beach
House was lovely but a bit dated the kitchen cupboards could do with a bit of love and the bathroom
4.1
Great holiday house. Clean, comfortable, pretty much everything you could need is included (could've done with a few washing pegs but that's just me, not everyone does a washing whe away!). Neighbours were great, very friendly. 5 mins walk from the beach, 15 mins casual walk to the centre of Newbiggin. Newbiggin is s great base and it's also picking up re shops, cafes and restaurants.
Nothing at all really. Smallest bedroom could do with a little better storage, even just some hanging hooks. And a welcome book would be nice.

Terraced house with on street parking on a quiet road opposite garden allotments. Beach and promenade a short walk away. Convenience store also in easy walking distance.

Lovely place, clean and well equipped. Close to beach, plenty pubs around. Friendly locals. Will return in springtime.
Shower was very poor, nothing else to complain about, good place to stay.

homely and comfortable

Good value for money, nice and clean and well equipped
We couldn’t figure out the heating. We couldn’t get it to come on when we wanted it and it came on in the middle of the night on the last night. An instruction manual would have helped.

The property is in a lovely spot literally a minute or so from the beach. The property is very well equipped with 3 bedrooms.
About a ten minute walk into Newbiggin centre itself so perfectly located in a quiet street. The property looks a little tired outside but more than makes up for it inside.
Can’t think of anything really

Very spacious property. Much bigger than it looks on the photos. Always got parked right outside. A minutes walk to the beautiful large beach. White sand and rock pool at certain times of the day to explore. A few little coffee shops/corners shops if required. Asda/aldi/lidl a 10 min drive away. Perfect base for exploring Northumberland.
Some child safety locks/keys on the upstairs windows would be good.

The cottage is well presented, modern and pretty. The cottage is well equipped for cocking and relaxing. The bedrooms are lovely. We loved staying there and will happily stay there again.
The beach is a minutes walk from the cottage which is fantastic. Walking from the cottage along the beach front into town where there are shops and plenty of cafes, takes less than 15 min.

Lovely house 3 mins walk to beach. Close to lovely beaches and villages to explore. Useful front garden and back yard . Well equipped and comfortable.
There was no corkscrew! So we bought one from local charity shop and left it there!
4.1
It was so close to a gorgeous beach, just a fab location, so good for kids.
The house was lovely, just a few things were not working and there was no manual to tell you how to use anything. Ligjt in thr living room didnt work and the one in the dining room was on a timer which we could not override. The heating was on even though it was boiling. The plug sockets in one of the kids rooms didnt work. A welcome manual might be a good idea so guests know how to fix some of these things. We still had a fab time, but would have been good to have some info.

The terraced house was spacious, clean and elegant inside with three bedrooms. It is ideal for a family or for a couple who want a lot of space. It is very reasonably priced. The house was only a five minute walk from Newbiggin beach and promenade. We were fortunate enough to see dolphins in Newbiggin Bay while we were there, apparently this is now quite a common occurence. The local people were very genuine and friendly. The house was also good as a base for touring Northumbria.
The host was very slow to queries about access etc directed via booking.com which made one feel ill at ease at times. Although they had done a great job with their house. In the kitchen, there was no information on how to recycle / get rid of glass bottles in the local waste system.

The location if a bit quirky at first sight is literally 3 rows back from the beach -
Fully accessible for disabled in buggies or wheelchairs & they have free hire of beach wheelchairs at the far end of the prom!
Full sliding French patio window in living room out onto little patio with bench - great way to cool down the living room & ventilate the dog odour!
Good sized rooms with full dining table & 6 chairs & very comfy lounge/armchairs -
not so much re the sofa!
Kitchen does it’s job - washing machine and full size fridge/freezer!
Double bed very comfy - pillows not so much
2 single beds - standard & again pillows not great
Bunk bed room - yuk!
Parking was directly outside the house on the road.
The house is fabulous for its LOCATION to the local beach and to drive to other destinations along the coast!
Bring pegs & washing powder if you plan to use washing machine - washing up liquid, 1 scourer, cloth & tea towel are provided.
Over powering smell of dog in living room - sofa & carpet? We had to buy air wick candle & to keep the odour at bay!
Thick grey spiders webs on staircase/hall!
I spent an hour in the kitchen wiping out shelving, bleaching coffee cups which were stained, washed dinner plates (dried food still on them),dirty glasses, completely emptied the cutlery drawer - wiped it out & washed every item before even considering using them! Left the ones unusable in a cup on the side!
cooking trays abysmal & unless swathed in foil are fit for the bin! Same for most of the saucepans & cooking utensils!
WHY during a pandemic is the double fronted kitchen cupboard full to the brim with 1/2 empty boxes of cereal, pasta, other food stuffs & condiments etc?...
Surely all food stuffs from previous occupants should all be disposed of?
The rear yard outside furniture was shown in poor condition last year on reviews; I’d have hoped this would’ve been rectified for a new Summer season - nope! Seating pads covered in green mold & no seat pad at all on the sofa? We didn’t use this area at all barr the washing line!
Games in the dining area drawers - most are broken....
Bunk bed room only entered upon arrival before the door was shut permanently due to an awful sick or spilled food smell!!
Bring your own pillows if you like some firmness & a throw if you may encounter a chilly night as the duvets are thin.
Lamps & plug sockets - only 1/2 of them work throughout the whole house
Kitchen “spotlights” are laughable & kitchen blind doesn’t close
Shower head cheap but functional…
Front garden lawn mown before we arrived - the maintenance is dire; weeds, dead flowers, empty flower pots, jar full of fag ends & a gate kept shut by using a house brick

Location excellant for Northumberland coastline
Nothing to dislike

Location, parking avaliable, spacious
Great location. Great stay
4.1
Lovely self-contained apartment that had everything I needed. It was cozy and comfortable with lovely sea views.
4.1
The kitchen was well-stocked, the living room was very comfortable and spacious for 3 adults.
The mattresses in the bunk bed room were very thin; even with one stacked on the other it wasn’t very comfortable so each of us took turns using this room while the other rooms had much more comfortable mattresses.
