It was an amazing stay. There was plenty of space for all ten of us and the house was beautiful. We had a great time grilling and enjoying the fire pit outside. Overall it was a great stay and we cant wait to come back again.

The home is set amongst beautiful trees overlooking a quiet field. We enjoyed the beautiful and spacious deck with comfortable lounge chairs and outdoor dining table, firepit and Weber bar b q. The primary bedroom was generously oversized as was the master bath. We cooked in several times using a well appointed kitchen. The common areas included a comfortable living room and den area as well as large dining table which we enjoyed often. My wife and I stayed there for a little more than 2 weeks and had a wonderful stay. The owners Ben and Monica were extremely responsive and also provided us with recommendations for local restaurants and activities. A terrific stay!!!

This is a lovely home. Very secluded, yet close to town and Butternut ski area. We had 2 families of 4 with kids aged 4-7 - they loved having their own space in the upstairs kids room, while the adults enjoyed the kitchen opening into the living area with large open fireplace, and smaller family room off the kitchen for movie watching. The owners have thought of everything, and communication was great. Hiking trails start literally steps from the front door to explore frozen ponds, the fish hatchery, and all the secluded natural beauty that surrounds this home.

This was a fantastic cozy home my and my sister's family enjoyed for several days over Thanksgiving. The kitchen was nicely equipped, the fireplace well used, and everything was very comfortable. The kid's room slept our 5 older teens/younger 20s quite well and everyone had a fabulous time.

We have stayed at this home several times with our family and friends to ski, hike and relax. Please see all previous reviews... it is a lovely place, stocked with all the things you could want and more. The owners think of everything and are on hand to manage any potential issues that could arise. They are at the ready with snow plowing, temperature control and great advice. We have nothing but wonderful memories from our multiple stays at this home in the Berkshires.

We very much enjoyed our trip to the Berkshires. The homeowners were great to work with and very responsive and the house was close to town and the ski mountains. I recommend the house for families.

I have stayed at this house many times over the winter with my family who loves to ski. This was my first time renting here in the fall with a group of adult women, all sisters-in-law, who came to unwind and relax. This home was every bit as wonderful in the Fall as it is in the spring. We took advantage of local hiking, local shopping and local dining. Returning to a cozy, well appointed, clean, comfortable house was the cherry on top of our weekend stay.

Eureka!
The house is beautiful, incredibly comfortable, thoroughly and thoughtfully stocked (from kitchen to bathrooms, game cabinet, bedrooms and utility room) and in exquisite shape. We visited with our adult son and his wife and two young children, and ended up feeling that the house was designed with a family like ours in mind. The dorm-style Kids’ bedroom is a master stroke. We can’t wait to return.

Favorite VRBO rental
This property consistently met all of our needs. Had a wonderful season skiing at Butternut and coming home to this cozy, well appointed, welcoming space. Ben is the consummate host, anticipating snow storms and having the house equipped with anything that might be necessary. He was available and helpful in all respects.

Loved our stay!
Had another lovely weekend at this home. Ben, the owner with whom we communicate directly, has consistently stayed ahead of the curve with us, anticipating our needs. He arranged for a plow before the snowstorm hit and had us out and skiing on time in fresh powder. Thanks again for everything!

Perfection!
The owners of this home are clearly thoughtful, thorough and available. They made us feel welcome, comfortable and knowledgeable about the home before we even arrived. The house itself is set back in on a beautiful wooded property with trails. Too much snow prevented us from really exploring the 15 acres but we can't wait to come back and do that! Inside, the house is cozy, well equipped, and well laid out. It was perfect for our two families with elementary and middle school aged kids. There is a separate den space where the kids hung out and watched movies at night. A kid's "dorm" area where they could play away from the adults. And two generous adult bedrooms convenient with attached bathrooms. The fireplace and dining table were bonuses for formal/cozy family space. We can't wait to return to this home and ski more at Butternut this winter!

Wonderful place
Couldn't have been happier. It's remote, but that's part of the charm. Dirt road to the property. 15 min. drive to shopping. Everything in the house was comfortable, in working order. Bed was comfortable, towels luxurious. Kitchen was well-stocked with staples. Loved being able to hike w/o having to drive somewhere.

Nature with a capital "N"
What a fabulous vacation! Even though the weather wasn’t great – we still had opportunities to hike, sit on the porch, visit surrounding locations (Tanglewood, Sheffield, Great Barrington – all within 15 min). Fantastic hiking nearby (we didn’t get to all of the trails, there were so many), and wonderful small, friendly markets with local produce – also nearby. The house is very cosy – clean, unbelievably well-stocked, and very isolated (surrounded by beautiful trees). The quiet is rejuvenating! Everything you would want for a vacation is available in this house. The breezes through the trees and the bird songs were so lovely that we kept the windows open (although air conditioning is completely available), but we would have liked the screens to be more secure to keep out the bugs. The host/hostess (Ben and Kim Roberts) were easily available to answer questions and gave great advice on where to visit or obtain local food and activities. They stocked the house with provisions that made living there so easy and relaxing. We will definitely go back – what a wonderful place!

Great weekend
We had a great weekend in this lovely home. The location was perfect ! The house is surrounded by trees and has direct access to hiking trails. We went to great restaurants within a 10 minute drive and it is a quick trip into Great Barrington. The owners were thoughtful and quickly responsive to all of our questions. I would love to return.

Wonderful vacation home - highly recommended
We had a wonderful week long stay in this terrific home. The house is modern and yet charming, and every bit as nice as the pictures with great lighting and comfortable chairs and beds. The deck has a wonderful few of a meadow in front of the house and was a great place for grilling and eating outside. The owners were a delight to work with and accommodating hosts. We enjoyed hiking in the woods around the home and in several nearby parks, and Great Barrington is a short drive away. Overall, we have rented many times from HomeAway/VRBO and this home was one of the most delightful.
