Matera is a stunning unforgettable place. Our bedroom had a fabulous big shuttered window overlooking the Sassi. It was stunning. Don’t bother booking the room with a terrace as we didn’t use it and didn’t offer anything special. The room was modern, light and so clean. Bed linen was beautiful and it had a fab bathroom. Great shower and bath. Location smack bang in middle of the main piazza. Vouchers provided for breakfast at a local cafe..which was excellent. Coffe-fresh juice-croissants etc..totally recommend it.
While the room was great re outside noise -we could hear the voices in reception and doors banging in the morning. Our so called terrace was a box and naff. Not needed.

the view from my room window, the cleanliness and the refurbishing of the room
maybe the staircase to the property? it would perhaps be somewhat uncomfortable if one carries heavy luggage.

Nice B and B and well located.
The room was very comfortable with great views of the sassi and easy walking around.
Breakfast involved going to a cafe 50 mts away for a crossiant and drink. I asked prior to arriving if there was gluten free food and was told yes when in fact there was nothing at all gluten free. I had to find a supermarket to buy breakfast food for myself.

the location was fantastic, right in the middle of the old town

Extremely great location. Amazing big, comfortable room and also with the view of the Sassi from the window. right in the center next to restaurants, the sassi etc. Even though it is in a really busy and well visited street/piazza you don’t hear any noise in the rooms.
breakfast is in a restaurant 2 min away from the accommodation. We had to catch a bus and they were really nice preparing the food as take away.
Also really nice that we could check in before the check in time.
staff a bit harsh

Location is perfect.
there was parking announced- when we arrived it was told 3km or a bit closer, but you have to go 15 min by foot. why to announce something doesnt exist? when we arrived we understood its middle of old town- no way parking can be there, but from abroad, you dont see this. all must be precise advised. also breakfast is Not in the building, you need to go out and walk to a cafee- again, can be accepted, but have to be specified.

Very nice guest house in a stunning location with a beautifull view of Sassi Barisano, just like Bond in No Time To Die, (although his hotel room was a temporary set). Parking, bars, restaurants, shopping and even a small supermarket are very close by.
No breakfast on the premises, it was a bit dissapointing, you had to go to a nearby bar (which in itself was nice) but only got 1 coffee or juice and a croissant.
But just a minor issue in regard of the beautifull house and location.

Location
It was noisy, the room has extremely small windows and there is mildew on the walls. Listed as having free parking which it does not have.

Wonderful room and bathroom, beautiful look over the Matera 'village valley', private additional terrace, excellent bed and bathroom. Fully equiped, nicely decorated, high ceilings, spacious contemporary decor, more than enough sockets for charging cellphones or other use... The room (suite) we had was located at the back of the house, giving us the nice view and no hinder from the street/square in front of the house. Due to covid restrictions, breakfast was in a local cafe, but the kitchen and fridge were at our disposal to use.
Loved the selection of toiletaries from the brand MOOOI. Excellent choice!
The breakfast at the local cafe Camerlingo. We were on holiday (touring in North Puglia) for 2 weeks and everywhere (also with this arrangement) one gets a voucher.
Every day it is one coffee and one 'cornetto/ croissant. I asked could I get a fresh orange juice instead. The answer was no.
I would strongly advise to take more care of your guests at this point. Perhaps this is the local way to have breakfast but some healthy alternatives or a more balanced selection would be nice and may perhaps be expected from this kind of accomodation. Matera is somewhat more expensive, OK, but for guests at a B&B mostly the breakfast is part of the experience as well.
When entering the bathroom at night, the light enters the sleeping area through a clear glass dividing the bathroom and bedroom. Though the construction is very well done and excellent for day time, at night a light sleeper not using the bathroom wakes up as well.
We did not meet the owner, the cleaning lady/assistant did the check in and check out.

Very cosy hotel, perfectly located in the center of Matera. Bed is very comfortable, and the room is very quiet. Freshly refurbished and renovated. Honestly very good value for money.
Honestly I don't have much to say. The person at the entrance was not nice, did not speak English. You have to go and take the breakfast to a coffee around the corner. It was nice and very good but some people might not enjoy to go to a different place to have breakfast.

The kindness of the facility's owner Marianna before, during and after my stay was invaluable.

We booked a normal room and got the upgrade to the suite!

Great location to walk through the historical center. The room was cosy and nice though I had the bathroom separated from the room (top floor). That might be an issue for some. Nice host.
Bathroom separated from room
