The house is right on the water, with a nice view off the deck. It was just as described, and I would recommend it. The only downside is that you HAVE to buy an insurance policy in case you break something. I have never had to buy any kind of insurance for this, and I despise buying extra insurance on anything because it is usually a waste of money. Plus, on top of buying the insurance policy, they also put a hold of $500 for any other discrepancies.

The house was very nice. You can fish right out the back door. Its a little off the beaten path but it only takes between 20-30 minutes to get to restaurants, stores or land between the lakes park.

Away from the hustle and bustle. A good relaxing vacation. Plus the fish were biting.

Even if the weather and fishing were sketchy at times, we still were able to have a fish fry and enjoy our time on Kentucky Lake in a cottage in a perfect location. The cottage had everything we needed and was perfect for a weekend getaway.

Michael is an amazing host. Our whole trip he made sure we had what we needed. My only compliant is small the bed was kind of uncomfortable so one if us slept in the twin and one slept in the bed it is just starting to sag in the middle, so we kept rolling towards each other. We had all the supplies we needed. Didn't catch many fish but still had a relaxing peaceful weekend.

This was a last minute getaway for the family on the lake. It was a great little cottage for a good price. Property manager was great! Communicated with us and responded quickly. We enjoyed just tying off with our tubes on the deck and floating. Access to everything you need within 15 minutes! Recommend!

Wonderful Stay!
Our most recent visit to the cottage marked our second stay at this cottage. My wife and I have family very close, but when extra family is in town, this is our preferred location to stay. The location right on the lake is fantastic. I've caught decent fish off of the dock. The cabin is cozy. The neighborhood is quiet, and Michael is a fantastic property owner!

Sweet cottage on the lake!
A friend and I spent a beautiful October weekend at this comfortable cozy cottage. We loved the access to the deck/pergola with a spectacular view of the lake. My friend and I hadn’t seen each other for a while so we did a lot of catching up on each other’s lives, with cups of coffee and tea.
The cottage had everything we needed to be able to relax and unwind from a busy week.
Michael, the owner, was welcoming and responsive to any questions we had.
Will definitely go back!

Birthday get away
The cottage says it sleeps 5, but when booking we originally had 4 guests, just the four of us in my family. The host charges an additional $10 a night for any guest over 3. When reviewing the host charges I questioned the extra $20 charge. I've never seen a VRBO that says it sleeps a certain amount of people then charges extra on top of what the rental says it sleeps. The cottage has 2 twin bunk beds, pull out sofa, and a full size bed in the master. It was my son's birthday so he wanted to bring a friend along. I notified the owner to let him know on our way down. He asked that we leave the extra $20 on the counter. The place and location are beautiful..the view is incredible. We swam and fished off the fishing dock..
The water is so nice!!
Overall, great place, incredible views, and most of all relaxing place to stay. My suggestion is to drop the extra fee over 3 people since the cottage sleeps 5 comfortably.
The closet store is dollar general like 6 miles away. Plan to bring everything you need... including extra food, water, paper towel, toilet paper, and condiments. Plenty of towels in the bathroom, but if you're staying for more than a couple days you'll need extra because there's no way of washing anything. Especially if you have kids.
Incredible views, clean, safe, and lovely place!! KY Lake, Tennessee River, Land between the Lakes, all a must see.

Michael is very fast to answer any questions or concerns before during and after your stay and has been very accommodating! We will certainly be back again!

Fishing on Beautiful Kentucky Lake
We hadn’t seen Ky Lake or the area around it until this trip. Our stay in Selah was mostly very comfortable. The cute cottage is well stocked & comfortable to lounge in. We knew early May might be rainy & it was but it didn’t stop us & our dogs from spending hours on the covered porch overlooking the lake. My husband did get some hours of fishing & caught several. But, we are in our 60’s & my husband did struggle to get back up the very steep stairs from the water. I was ok, but something to consider if you are a more mature guest. But no problem getting to the wonderful porch! We have recommended this comfortable little cottage to family & friends.

Had a really good stay. Enjoy our time at the home. It was well equipped with anything we needed. Great location to get anything we needed and still be on the lake.

Fishing /Getaway
Quiet, relaxing, friendly, respectful... Not the time to fish due to shutting the Dams down, which confusing the fish and keeps them deeper before they are able to reach spawning destinations.

Adorable place!
Micheal was great at communicating with us, even offering us use of the screen room in the other cabin while it was vacant. The cabin was well stocked and CLEAN!! The kids loved the bunk beds and the Roku tv and we loved the enclosed porch bedroom. Our sons fished off the dock while we sat enjoying the view from the pergola covered porch. Thank you so much for letting us use your cabin Micheal! We had a great time and will be back again!

Small in size but make up for it in hospitality ♡
Alittle 'smaller' then we expected, but ended up being just fine.
Michael was very responsive and kind ..checking to be sure we found what we needed and answer any questions. Including, directing us to some really interesting must see sights.
Have to add that his,'house keeper' (sorry I forget her name) was Extremely kind and made a special trip up,to be sure we would have plenty of clean towels, sence we were staying a week..Shes so sweet!!!
