We had an amazing stay at George’s property. The home was quaint and cozy. Perfect place to stay for a wedding down the street at the Samoset Resort.

It was so nice to be a short bike ride from town and from Samoset where we were visiting with friends. Very comfortable well maintained home.

Our stay was excellent! The property was convenient, with great off-street and shaded parking. The apartment was super clean, and had all we needed for our stay, including several AC units. The layout was perfect for our family. Grandparents stayed on one end with a bathroom, and we stayed in the other room with our 8 year old, our own bathroom. There was sufficient space to hang out in either the living and dining room, lots of couches and chairs. It couldn't have been more perfect for our stay in Rockland. Thanks for making this a great stay!!

We were in town for an event happening at a local resort but there wasn’t any rooms available so we just needed a place to sleep. The apartment was clean and the host was easy to communicate with.

Beautiful historic home! We really enjoyed all of the attention to detail in this home - from the decor and linens to the dishes and layout - it suited our family of 4 (adults) well. So much fun looking at all of the art and the huge selection of books available. We were curious about the history and had fun looking up the original family! Kitchen was fully functional and included all of the little gadgets and things you wouldn't think to bring with you on vacation. You can see a view of Rockland Harbor from the dining room which made for a pretty sunrise breakfast. The location was exactly where we needed to be for a family wedding at the Harmony Hill Farm nearby. Close to necessities - grocery store, gift shops and restaurants in town, the roads were very easy to navigate with GPS. The owners were clear with communication and instructions. We did not get to meet them in person, but appreciated the privacy and trust. Would definitely stay again, thank you!

We only stayed here one night but I could easily see staying here much longer. The owner was wonderful to communicate to, the house/apartment is very well set up and cozy. We arrived later in the evening through a terrible rain storm. The apartment was warm and clean, and was the perfect place to end the days activities.

Very unique place to stay. Lots of period pieces and history on every wall. Home was very comfortable and great for our time in Rockland.
Owners were very responsive to a problem with hot water. Clearly they understand customer service.
The upstairs apartment that we stayed has stairs that are narrow and steep which made it difficult for my wife that has knee issues.

Easy check in and out. Apartment is very nicely decorated.
Would stay there again anytime, would recommend to family and friends

We had a wonderful time exploring Rockport. While we were not able to make it to Monhegan Island, there was plenty for us to do and see. A great gathering place if traveling with family and friends. Enough room to spread out without being on top of each other.
Check-in was easy and there was plenty of info left to help us navigate the apartment, Rockport and surrounding area. The host were near, but we did not need to reach out.
Apartment was very quaint, with antiques and plenty of artwork which we all enjoyed.
Catherine was helpful in suggestions on places to eat...and they did not disappoint. Thank you to Catherine and George...we really enjoyed our stay.

I appreciated the hosts contacting me to make sure we knew how to get to the property, where to park, and how to access the upstairs apartment.
The beds were super comfortable, good water pressure in the shower and the kitchen was well appointed. Would definitely stay here again!

The hosts are fantastic. The property is cute and has plenty of room for gatherings. It is walking distance to a supermarket and central to many local attractions. The only complaint is very minor: the bathroom sinks are as small as one can imagine! All in all I happily give this place five stars for the great hosts, good place and location, and great relative value!

It was nice, just didn’t like there were no top sheets on beds. Also cob webs in the house, draws in kitchen could of been cleaner. The decks could of been cleaned. Lot of sticks and leaves on chairs, table and deck. Otherwise a nice place.

Our apartment was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and was the perfect spot to meet up with my husband at the end of the day (very intense workshop). The light in the morning from the back bedroom was great to wake up to. We will be back.

The pictures look nice, but they don’t do it justice. My wife & I stayed a couple nights with our 17 year old son and 4 year old lab. This was an ideal ‘base camp’ for us to explore Rockland, Rockport, and Camden (our favorite.). Super easy to communicate with the hosts. Cathy made some great recommendations about local sites/activities/restaurants. The apartment is bigger than we expected. We walked to a few places, but you’ll likely have a short drive to everywhere you want to go.
This was our first VRBO experience and it set the bar pretty high for future rentals! Would definitely stay again.
