Awesome spot

We loved the unit. Mattresses were a bit hard but probably because we aren't used to it

Everything was great to be honest. I thought we had the beach at the back but it wasn't. It was my mistake but about 10 mins to ohope and 15 to Thornton beach

Excellent value for money

It's secure (need a gate pin to get in) so nice if you have a trailer. Pleanty of parking space, and the green grace is nice. The studios are very modest and nothing flash, but everything needed and excellent value for money. It backs onto the river, so easy to go for a walk on the path that goes along the river bank towards town and the boats.

Love the service and the ladies in the office We will definitely stay again. However, once we checked in to our room it wasn't very clean. Rubbish from previous stay was still outside the room. I didn't complain about it because it wasn't to major and easy to deal with but would be good to give the rooms a quick check before guest check in. Apart from that, Ka ngangaro! HIGHLY RECCOMMEND.

Overall we loved our stay and have booked for a summer holiday!

We liked the clean, warm, spacious rooms and well equipped kitchen. The location is excellent and all the information is well presented, helpful, and easy to follow.

If I'm being picky, another comfortable chair would be great or an L shaped type of lounge suite - one couch for 4 adults was not ideal. A clothes iron would have been appreciated too - but we'll just bring a fold out chair and an iron next time. The price is so good and the accommodation so comfortable these issues are not major!

How meke!! Tu meke!! How much!! Too much!! As in “ Mean Maori Mean Whakatane Holiday Park “

The size of our twin unit was perfect for our whanau. Loved that it was clean and new and super warm. We arrived late travelling from Auckland so it was awesome that Macy had arranged a key, map and details for us to check in after hours. There was excellent customer service and comms over phonecall and text prior to our arrival. All of my queries were answered promptly as well. Would highly recommend and would definately return again. My son was a little restless and upset during the night and I loved that there was also a little space between the units so as not to disturb other tenants.

There was nothing we didn’t like only feedback would be to have a sign on corner of street pointing to the direction of the Holiday Park as we turned right down the opposite end and came back down the street.

Exceeded expectations

Amazing cabin, so spacious and clean. Kids had a blast. A shame we could only stay one night. Will definitely be returning for longer.

Wifi was very poor, only one bar and wouldn't even work on my daughter phone. But as we were only staying one night wasnt stuch a big deal.

Perfect place to stay, lovely lady at front desk. Comfy

Think I was in kowhai and the whole area was beautiful and tidy. It was quiet and also provided all the facilities to cook an actual meal. The shower was amazing with the best water pressure overall wonderful place

AWESOME.... as we were there for a nice KICK-BACK getaway.

Clean, close to town, room and bed was so comfortable. Bathroom was nice and clean, very fresh. Loved the little bedside touch lamps. No bother with neighbours. very friendly guests. Easy come and go

We enjoyed the facilities, staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was very family orientated and the kids absolutely loved all the activities. We all loved all our cabins and we will definately be returning frequently.
