Exceptional

All the staff were wonderfully accommodating, not because they had to be, but due to their gracious and kind characters. We stayed 5 nights, extending from a planned 3, because the hotel and Moncao were so charming.

Will stay there again.

Location was perfect, easy to find. Nice room and helpful staff.

The only problem was the shower fixture in the bathroom. It needed to be replaced, as it would not hold its adjustment.

Excellent price and location clean and comfortable.

Very close to historical center, restaurants, banks, etc. Excellent price, clean, and comfortable. Parking on street but next to hotel. The young woman receptionist was very helpful and friendly. (Don't expect great comprehension of English anywhere in Monção that I encountered. Fortunately I am reasonably conversant in Portuguese and people were kind.)

Rater strange mustard color of the bathroom facilities. But, all functioned well.

Excellent location. Good reception and friendly staff. Helpful with secure bicycle parking.

The staff could manage to make sure I could make my check in late night once my bus would arrive in the city at that time. It was lovely

Quick rest before going back to Spain

I liked that it had a bath tab and separated rooms.

The hotel was too expensive in relation to the facilities and services. There was no elevator, the bathroom and the furniture were kind of old, it had carpet which is not very clean and some stained cushions. The beds were old and not very comfortable. The place was very hot (we had to open the windows) and noisy (with some kind of pubs or noisy bars near). The curtains were dirty.

Hotel Vila Esteves was definitely a surprise (not a good one)

Location

I was planning to take a shower when I was surprised to see that the water was brown, regardless to say that I didn’t take the shower. In addition to this when I was opening the bed I saw it had a pubic hair within.
