Location was good
We arrived at the site
Found the static caravan.
Followed instructions to open box for the key numbers all kept going around. I had to go and find someone to help .
Eventually, I got in.
First thing first, a cup of tea put kettle on .
Lost all electric power phoned up the number we had he arranged for someone to come.
They came within the hour
The place wants to clean at all.
Bedding was something to be desired bed was so small kept banging head arms on the units at the side my husband feet were hanging of the end so when I went to use the on suite I kept knocking his feet .
The decking outside was like an ice ring, although no ice about
I thought my dog had injured herself when she came limping in she must have slipped on the decking .
Luckily, she was ok in about 15
But at the time, I couldn't put her paw down
All in all, this place is only good for short people, and for a short vacation, 2 to 3 days longer than that, find somewhere else also price I paid here I could have stayed in a place with a far bigger bed

Self catering
Decking was slippery when wet. Would advise getting anti-slip coating

Location
Inadequate outdoor furniture
Dirty windows (could see children’s handprints)
Very dusty around the television and furnishings
On arrival we were met with several piles of dog poo.. which was left for us to remove..!!!
Picture of the lake on the advertisement for the caravan was misleading..!!!

Beautiful location, quiet and relaxed. The lodge is lovely, a homely feel which makes you feel very welcomed and comfortable.
We loved exploring the surrounding areas.
Landmark adventure land which is just down the road was amazing, the kids loved it and plenty to do for adults too. Will definitely be returning to boat of garten, it's a beautiful place for relaxing but also plenty to do within a short distance.

Mattresses could be comfier, bedding upgraded and sofa was a bit hard.

32 Dayven Lodge was extremely dirty, full of cobwebs and dust. Entrance gate was broken, outdoor furniture old and rusty. Coffee table was broken and bedside lamp needs replaced. Bed sheets also need replaced as zippers gone. Only one teaspoon and one wine glass.
This old, dated lodge needs a deep clean and various items need replaced.
Despite several bad reviews the host does not take feedback on board and make the necessary improvements required to make it a good place to visit.
We contacted the host to raise our disgust to which they stated they were completely unaware of our concerns. Even though our exact complaints had been raised by previous guests as far back as Sept 2021.

Van size and location excellent 👌.
A few more plates and bowls would be good. Bed coverings could have been better, were quite thin and old.

Facilities in the caravan, it’s location and how clean the accommodation and area were
We had 5 adults which was tight, 6 adults would have been difficult. This didn’t affect our break.

The only 2 things that could be better it was extremely cold if someone could of turned the heating on before we arrived this saved an uncomfortable 3 hours and if the duvets were rated for winter or if there was extra blankets that would of helped besides that the chalet was great and would be booking again soon highly recommend

Location was great. Short drive into Aviemore where you can also jump on the train and take a day trip to Inverness. The lodge was spacious and well equipped for what we needed. It was clean and perfect for our stay. The large decking area around the lodge was also great and enclosed so we could let the dog wander around and know she couldn’t escape! The host always responded very quickly to any messages that I sent and also accommodated an early check in with no additional charge.
The decking was very slippy which is because of the time of year and the falling leaves. However, my sister fell and quite badly hurt her knee while taking her dog out for a walk at night. My 5 year old nephew also fell the following day and hurt himself. Some non slip mats along the side of the property would be safer as it could be dangerous if anyone had mobility issues or are elderly. What didn’t help was the outside lights didn’t work and it was impossible to see where you are going when it is dark. Other than this we enjoyed our stay but I do feel that the lodge is quite dated and some simple additional touches would make a huge difference such as new cushions etc and new blinds (the bathroom and kitchen ones are definitely past their best) On reading the descriptions it does say 2 bathrooms however this is not the case. It has one shower room and the “en suite” is only a toilet and sink so I don’t class this as a bathroom. There is a bent broken bed in one of the bedrooms. I don’t quite understand why this hasn’t been picked up by the cleaners or anyone who has previously stayed. I ended up sleeping on the sofa as the bed was so uncomfortable.

The heaters in the rooms could have been worked properly. It wasn’t working good. The living room was alright with proper heat.

Lovely location for a chilled peaceful weekend, lodge was perfect with all the facilities required for your stay. Wouk’s definately book again. Only 4 miles outside of Aviemore which was perfect for visiting.
Some clear instructions to work the boiler and heating, but figured it out in the end.

We have stayed in the same park a few times so knew what to expect. The local pub is a short walk away and the food is really nice. If you want to visit Aviemore you will need transport.
All good.

comfy, location, clean.lot of places to eat
unless you have a car it’s hard to get places unless you get a taxi so becomes costly. Also tried to hoover up fluff from new socks but hoover didn’t seem to work properly and had no toilet roll and as we got there late nothing was open

Location close to an event we were attending. Price.
Good shower
Good communication from owner
The fact that feedback from last year had been ignored when it was reported to have been acted on was disappointing. Same rusty bathroom radiator over a year later, chipped and dirty glasses. Things that could easily be fixed to make the property so much better. Mirror and glass fire smeared as if wiped with a dirty cloth. Huge weeds on patio at back.
Needs a bit more attention to bring it up to a satisfactory standard

Peace and tranquility
Comfortable van
Good for children (age 9 and 12)
Good woodland walks
5 mins from new bike/skate park
Basic onsight playpark but children enjoyed playing on scooters and brought swingball.

It was like home from home, everything had been provided for our stay, including bedding, toys and a lead for our dog. My son absolutely loved his stay, being Autistic for him means he needs his own space and Dayven Lodge provided us all with exactly that, there was enough room so we could all have our own space.
The decking was extremely slippy which was remedied after I gave it good scrubbing. (after clearing the leaves)
Didn't mind doing this.

Great location just outside Aviemore. The accommodation was very clean and tidy had a nice little outside seating area on the balcony and all fenced off so the dog could run around without escaping! The little things like toilet roll and washing up liquid were provided which we always forget to bring with us so that was a god send. Checking in was hassle free no need to go to reception and didn’t matter that we got there W lot later then expected. All in all a great trip .

Great shower and toilets were clean, beds were comfortable.
Area is beautiful and we will definitely return to the area.
Very disappointed, poor cleanliness and maintenance of the property.
Dirty kitchen floor on arrival with black dog hairs and generally not clean which I had to do along with the kitchen table which also wasn't clean before we could sit down to dinner! Carpets were stained and dirty and dusty around the edges. Mop was filthy and in such bad condition the sponge fell apart in the water and couldn't be used so I had to clean the floor with bleach and clothes I brought myself. Dirty patio doors marked from either a child or dog. Big cob webs hanging above curtains in livingroom. Several lights not working in bedroom and living room and outside (needing bulbs presumably!) Two portable little tables In Livingroom only one in working order. And worst of all dog poo in bag left on the decking outside the patio doors which my 3 year old found!
Beds were clean but thrown together and did not in anyway reflect the nice presentation of the pictures online! Similarly the living area is not like the pictures either. If the cleaning is hired out to a company... someone needs to urgently look into this. The property was in no way cleaned or maintained to a suitable standard...let alone in the current conditions of a pandemic!! Quite concerning really. I have never experienced anything like it and I would not recommend and will definitely not return.

Perfect location
Real lack of overall cleanliness & in need of some attention to detail. Lots of bulbs were not working. Carpet in living room was filthy. Rubbish & filth left under sofa cushions. Cutlery drawer dirty. Pillows & duvets stained

The caravan is warm, well equipped and comfortable. Havi g an ensuite toilet is a bonus. The site is really well located in the village with nice walks on hand and easy access to the village store, gallery and pub.
A few minor points as the facilities are very good - WiFi information wasn't on hand,
The light outside the door wasn't working and a no of spotlights were out.
It would have been handy to have a booklet telling you about the appliances/recycling etc. A lot of the tourist leaflets were old ie 2019 etc.

Perfect place to go if you want to get away from hectic life! We loved it all local restaurant fabulous, host was always at hand if you needed help. It is so close to so many trails and pubs at your finger tips! Will definitely be coming back again
Back door didn’t shut and lock properly

Peace and quiet
The outside area needs drastic attention, ie weeds growing through decking, decking desperately needs treated and painted, steps could do with sweep(cigarette ends lying anout). Soft furnishings need changed and bedding (very dated and not too fresh looking ) towels looled grubby.

Great, quiet location for family holidays. Close to big field and forest. This place is also fabulous for dogs.

Very well situated in the centre of town. Great for dog walking and local pub and restaurant.
Comfy bed and well equipped kitchen area.
Very handy fenced in area around the property making it safe for children or dogs to come and go.
Nothing to mention.
