About this house rental
Our holiday home "Sea Change" is literally steps from the smooth sands and swimming at Brighton Beach. It's a top location, quiet in the house but so close to the heart of Brighton. Jetty Road shops and cafes, The Esplanade Hotel, jetty, Cinema, train station, bus stops and supermarkets are all close at hand. The boat ramp and Seacliff Yacht Club are a few minutes drive away. Adelaide Aquatic Centre is less than a 5 minute drive. We are close enough to the city for an easy commute (20 mins on the Express train) if still at work, while the rest of the family is on holiday. Off road car parking is available for 2 cars, or a car and a boat in a secure garage on site.
One or two couples, or a family with older children can relax in style in our fully self-contained home. Sea Change is a maisonette built in the 1930s by two brothers who lived next door to each other in harmony for many years. Because we share a wall with our neighbour, and wish to maintain this harmony, we cater primarily for adults but will accept a family with well behaved teenagers or children over school age.(5 years plus.)
Adelaide International and Domestic Airport is approximately 25 mins drive away. If arriving from interstate, please let us know if you require early check in or late checkout, or bag storage as arrangements can be made if other bookings permit.
Sea Change is set up with 2 Queen size beds and a third bedroom with 2 single beds. Quality mattresses and linen (and electric blankets in winter) will ensure you have a restful sleep, and some nights you can even hear the waves. Bedrooms are also provided with ceiling fans and ceramic heaters.
The living area is open plan with LCD TV, comfy leather lounges, DVDs, games and books to entertain you away from the beach. We provide free Wi-Fi. There is reverse cycle heating & cooling, a ceiling fan, and screened French doors for comfort. The kitchen has a dishwasher, gas stove and everything you need for cooking and meals, but you are also really spoilt for choice with all the local eateries and takeaways close by. Our light and airy living area opens to a private vine covered outdoor area with a BBQ for your use.
The large two way bathroom has a full sized bath as well as a separate shower, and there is also an outdoor shower for rinsing sandy feet after a swim. We also provide you with a fully equipped laundry with a dryer for rainy days. Sea Change is a peaceful place to stay, not a party house, but a place to de-stress, notice the ever changing sea and sky and get a bit of sun and salt on your skin. You can also relax on the front porch overlooking our coastal garden before strolling down to swim, watch the sunset, or have a coffee or meal at the choice of cafes and restaurants in easy walking distance. The pace picks up a bit on weekends as our beach is popular both summer and winter with locals and visitors.
Sea Change makes a great base for beach weddings, National swimming titles at the SA Aquatic Centre , major Surf Carnivals (Brighton & Seacliff clubs) and sailing regattas out of Seacliff. Adelaide city centre is approximately 30 mins. drive or a train or bus ride away and hosts many events during the year including the Cabaret Festival, The Fringe, SALA art exhibitions, Exhibitions at the Art Gallery of SA, Tour Down Under, The Clipsal 500, and the Adelaide Royal Show to name a few. See below for more events.

Great location, everything you need and Paul was an excellent host. It was also a bonus to have a secure park in the garage. Paul even provided some breakfast (eggs, bacon, fresh bread and milk).
House very close to the train station which made it easy for us to catch the train to the city. Beach being almost on the doorstop was another bonus. Would stay again gladly 😊

Very comfortable homely dwelling in a perfect position to walk to the beach, Brighton Jetty, the local pub plus quite a few restaurants. Landlord Paul was very helpful and provided small touches like tissue boxes everywhere, access to a range of toiletries like bodywash, shampoo and conditioner, and condiments in the pantry. There are also DVDs and games, excellent beds, linen and towels.

A comfortable 3 bedroom maisonettes close to the beach and busy cafes. We stayed here for two weeks whilst our house was being renovated. The property is warm, comfortable and quiet with full cooking facilities and a peaceful courtyard at the back. Paul is a kind and accommodating host who went out of his way to meet our needs. This property would make a fantastic summer holiday retreat for a multi generational family.

My wife and our adult family stayed here while visiting my son who lives close by. This is a full sized house only about 50m from the beach and just around the corner from the main restaurant and shopping district, but the street is very quiet. There is onsite under cover parking, which is very hard to come by in this area based on previous experience. The host is very friendly and instantly available. Will definitely stay here again.

Perfect position, peaceful and everything we wanted was waiting for us inside. Paul has thought of everything including all those little things you don’t normally get.. from condiments to beach towels… definitely the best place we have stayed in the area…. Spacious, huge bath, 2 mins from the beach and nothing was too much trouble…
Can’t praise it highly enough. Oh! And chocolates and chilled champers awaiting us too 🤗

We chose this property on location and were not disappointed. Right by the beach and eateries of Jetty Road, but so quiet and relaxing you'd never know the crowds were there. The house was well equipped with plenty of space for the four of us and a great outdoor area under the grapevine. Room for the bikes in the garage and right beside bike paths that can take you all the way to Adelaide and along the beaches.Paul was welcoming and available if needed. A great host. Would love to stay again.

We enjoyed a great stay. The location was excellent with a very short walk to the beach. The accomodation for our family, 5 adults, worked really well and we appreciated the off street parking at the back of the property. Paul was very responsive and attentive to our requests over the 2 week stay.
