Homely and comfy. I always seek out cottages so loved it!
The lounge is manky but could be fixed with some covers! Heating is a bit finicky but completely manageable 😊

The presentation and decor was particularly in keeping with the period character of the property.
The shower room was in an unusual location and the door handle was broken.

The location was very good, only a short stroll to Hotel or supermarket and other shops. The cliff-face walk was also close by. Nice quiet and roomy location.
no major issues

I loved size of the house and the quality of amenities- brand new bathroom and well equipped kitchen as well as a large cozy lounge room... and a king sized bed!

It was nice to stay in a old stone cottage in a quiet street, but a short walk to the shops. The two bedrooms were large and beautifully decorated with good lighting and ceilings fans. The large eat in kitchen had everything you would need except that it’s dark and needs brighter lighting. The laundry is a huge bonus with both washer and dryer, but the clothes line in the back yard is best for that. The bathroom has been modernized and has a great walk-in shower, but needs a decent mirror. Loved the little stained glass window though. The one, noisy air conditioning unit above the front door did cool the whole house, which was amazing since it was extremely hot while we were there. Added bonus is that there is outside dining options on the front veranda and back patio.
The dark lounge room, with no windows, needs some love and nice furniture to match the period of the property. It’s the only room in the house that lets this cottage down. An old sofa with lots of horrible cushions, in a dark uninviting space.

A delightful restored cottage close to shops, cafes, and other amenities. The cottage was clean and the beds comfortable, providing a good night's rest. We appreciated the rain-style shower in the bathroom with good hot water service. Jenny provided great communication with information emailed ahead of our stay making our entrance to the property easy after a long drive.
The lounge chairs/sofas could use a refresh. Lacking any substantial base structure, anyone attempting to sit will sink nearly to the floor, which was disconcerting and quite uncomfortable. Although limited wifi was mentioned, we were unable to persuade it to work, even after charging the mobile modem.

It was comfortable, cosy, private and quiet. Very well appointed property and terrific communication from Jenny. An excellent rest stop on a long road trip. (Melbourne- Alice Springs)
I’m not a fan of air fresheners/ fragrances, but luckily not allergic to them.

Quaint. Well maintained. Had everything needed - lots of towels, tea/coffee, good quality toiletries, cutlery/crockery. Walking distance to shops, pub and waterfront.

It was lovely and quiet within walking distance from the Waikerie hotel
The beds - ours felt like we were sleeping on a slope with our feet in the air. Our friends are tall and they said their feet were hanging off the end

Excellent communication from the host- very accomodating. Cold weather but cosy fireplace in the lounge and electric blankets on the beds. Great location and plenty of parking space. Thanks :)
Confusing information on Booking.com about possible guest numbers- although the host called straight after booking to clarify. Instructions for the fireplace would have been helpful. Also not quite enough bowls!

Lovely cottage, great location. Beautiful bathroom, well appointed kitchen. Very clean, tidy and comfortable. Hosts were friendly.
Unclear expectations. The cottage was marketed as a 3 bedroom, (a king and 2 queen) it was only 2. Once this was cleared up, the host did offer for us to cancel, but at that late stage we decided to keep the booking anyhow. Stated enough milk for 3/4 days, there was actually only a small long life milk in the fridge (we'd already shopped for the weekend and didn't get milk). There was another room on the side of the house that was booked, with the persons vehicle in the driveway so we had to park on the street. We later realised there was a back entrance, missed that in the booking in information. Many rules, not overly welcoming in tone. Little things, but feedback all the same.
