This accommodation is a real insider tip on the island of Thasos! It is located in the village Kallirachi, which is about 3km away from the sea coast. As it lyes below a small mountain there it is a bit cooler than at the coast.
Please don't get the idea to drive your own car right to the house! The village roads are very narrow and steep, so only the locals can make it. The hosts will pick you and your luggage up from the nearby parking lot and bring you/it there at the end as well.
The hosts are both very nice, helpful and always available. The house itself is clean and very well maintained. Everything is there that you might need during your stay, but unfortunately no coffee machine and no washing machine.
In 15 meters from the house is a wonderful bakery, 5 minutes away in the center is a "simple" but a "real" Greek taverna with great offer.
I would highly recommend this place!

The hosts were awesome, they met every need, very responsive, house was clean and comfortable, secure, Wifi, AC, good view
The only NEGATIVE thing, which I just need to mention (especially if you are travelling with elders) is that in the description of the house there's no mention of the steep uphill walk from the center of the village to the house. Yes it's a 3 min walk, yes the hosts offer to get your luggage with a van up to the house when you are checking in, and when you checkout, but that does not compensate the fact that every time you are walking to the house, climbing that steep uphill is an exercise of its own.... at least twice a day...in hot summer, usually loaded with bags/groceries.... This was not in the description, and proved to be very disappointing experience. I would not go there with elder people..as it was in our case. There's NO practical parking to be used, as you are told that other people park in the shared parking area, (so we parked at the village center). Also climbing to the house with your car, you have to be VERY EXPERIENCED not to scratch it..... Sorry but this had to be in the house's description!! And this is the only reason I lower my vote!

Our hosts, Dimitra and Marios, were extremely kind and helpful!

The house is located in a traditional greek village situated on a mountain with a steep climbing slope - It's not a big deal if you are healthy and have no motory problems, just beware it's about a 2 mins climb on foot unless you have a quad bike or a scooter (because the streets up to the house are narrow and not recommended for a normal car). The hosts can help you carry the luggage from the car to the house and back with a small van. There is private parking available for 2 cars but it at a ~3 minutes walk from the house.
We were 2 couples and stayed in the vacation house at the ground floor, each with an individual bedroom. 4 persons is recommended if you want privacy. If you go for 6 persons at the ground floor house, whoever takes the living room couch will have low privacy because everyone needs to pass through the living room to go to the bathroom, house entrance and balcony. That being said, the accomodation conditions were great when compared with the paid price. The place was clean, neat and decoracted with good taste. There is a balcony with a nice (partial) view of the sea in the distance (probably the larger house from the 1st floor has a much better view). Even though the space outside the house is small, we had a small barbecue at our disposal to grill some meat and serve it inside.
Dimitra and her husband Mario are great hosts and kind persons. Dimitra made sure we had everything we needed and gave us some directions and recommendations around the island.
She also gave us some nice homemade and handmade amenities. We appreciated her service very much.
She didn't even get mad when we accidentally "cooked" her coffee machine. xD
Great experience overall!

Grear quite place, in a pittoresque phishing village. A perfect reatreat for those who want to explore the inland. The hostess was also very helpfull and hospitable, as you may expect in Greece. Thank you for the experience and for the small gifts Dimitra!

The apartment was great, exactly as presented, with a very nice view from the balcony, air conditioning and wi-fi. Miss Dimitra is an exceptional host, always checking if everything is fine and making sure we have a nice holyday. She waited for us in the village square and helped with the luggage, gave us presents and recommended local stores, taverns and beaches.
The place is suitable for families, very quiet with a small bakery really close.
Overall it was a very nice and relaxing experience.

Beautiful view over the sea, it is located on a hill so the view was absolutely stunning, especially at sunset when you can see the sun going down on the horizon.
The streets are very narrow so we weren’t able to park next to the property and the uphill walk from the parking can be a little tiring.
