About this house rental

Come and enjoy Amarillo Casita on the shores of Cypress Creek. The location is just a short 1.5 miles to downtown Wimberley, yet is a world or its own. Swimming, fishing or just floating in the cool waters of the spring fed creek takes away all stresses and worries, and the comfortable and fully equipped cottage offers all the creature comforts you desire. There are 2 bedrooms, a queen and king size bed, one bath and a fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee on the back deck or sit in the adirondack chairs by the creek. Awesome place. Even though it was small it had everything you need. The road can be a little loud but the beautiful cypress creek made up for that. Would definitely recommend.

everything about this property was great. We stayed for a week, but were glad to leave before July 4. People from cabins down the way moved into the creekside chairs, with drinks, dogs, and music. That was just the last two days. The cottage is super clean and couldn't have been more convenient.

It was our first time to visit Wimberley and I can see why people love it so much. The yellow cottage on the river was perfect for our family of 4. The river behind the house is beautiful, clear, and cool! Endless hours were spend down in the creek and sitting next to it. It is a very short drive to the town square and included all the amenities that we needed. We will be back!

Really enjoyed the property and the location is perfect. The crystal-clear spring fed creek directly out the back door is just amazing to see and swim in. We had our small dog with us, and she really enjoyed the property. The house is warm, clean and comfortable. We will be returning!

We loved staying here! It truly added to our amazing experience in Wimberley. The cottage was cozy and comfortable, and the landscape was gorgeous. Our son had a blast playing in the creek right out back. I would have given this property five stars, but the issues with the shower had bit of a negative effect on our visit. One of the knobs was nearly broken and was hard to use, and the stream of water was woefully inadequate. (My husband said his belly button got really clean, though!;) If that were to be fixed, I would love to came back, and would happily give 10 stars!

My wife, daughter and I stayed here for Christmas ‘23 and were able to bring along our 2 pups. We had a great time relaxing by the creek which was filled with water when all the surrounding rivers and creeks were dry. The crystal clear water was breathtaking. Tons of room for our dogs to play in front and back of the cabin. The kitchen is lacking a bit of you want to prepare meals but we were able to bake some brownies and cookies with no issue. The restaurants in Wimberley are terrific and just a few minutes drive away. HEB is also very close. We caught a few fish, watched some Christmas movies on the provided cable TV and got some much needed R&R on the quiet front porch. We would book here again if we weren’t expanding our family!

We absolutely loved staying at this rental. It was perfect!! Beautiful scenery with the creek in its backyard. We were able to take some treasured family photos with the creek in the background by setting up my phone on a little tripod on a lawn chair and setting the camera timer. Beautiful! It was also very close to the town of Wimberley, even thought it felt like it was out in the country.

My husband, son and I booked the cottage for a little getaway for fall break. We brought our dogs and had a great time. The cabin was totally clean and cozy and everything was easy to use and access. The creek is beautiful and the property surrounding is covered with tall trees. We would totally stay again!

We stayed here to get our daughter settled in at texas state. The house is cute and in a great location. The communication with owners/managers was easy. The creek was cool, clear and pretty full! Comfy beds.

We have stayed here before and loved it- the creek is so refreshing and the trees are wonderful. We especially loved walking up to the area with the water rushing over the rocks. Sadly, after inquiring about the water, we were told it was cool and flowing, which it wasn’t. It was stagnant with stuff floating in it and we didn’t feel comfortable swimming in it which really impacts the stay. Also, my sister who was staying in the house next door, requested the code be changed and we were met with some really uncomfortable exchanges. They don’t change the code, were noticeably put out and let us know it. We’ve had wondeful experiences here in the past but sadly won’t be returning for these reasons.

Had an absolutely lovely sisters weekend! House was clean and comfortable. View from backyard down to the spring fed creek was magnificent! So calming and peaceful. July with temps above 100 all weekend, but we still were able to enjoy sitting on the back porch soaking in the scenery - we brought a portable fan and with that, it was very pleasant. There was often a nice breeze that made the shade feel 20 degrees cooler. Will definitely plan to stay here again.

This is exactly what we did. This cottage was amazing. The back outside view of the creek was fabulous. We could have stayed outside the entire time. Close to everthing! Market Days were fun, just hot as we expected. We even cooked outside one evening and it was amazing. I would highly recommend this cottage again and again! Everything we needed was their. We loved it and will be back, hopefully sooner than later. Next time we would like to take our grandkids. They would have loved it. Hildee's food was amazing!

Cutest cottage with the most wonderful back patio view and water access of Cypress Creek! Beautiful location! Bed was so comfortable! Didn’t cook but kitchen looks well stocked. Perfect location to hang out with friends, drive into Wimberley for great food, shops, and nature trails. Very dark on back patio so maybe a string of lights similar to blue cottage might be nice addition. Anything too bright will attract the bugs. Enjoyed our stay and would book again!

Slow days on the creek! Perfect for slowing down and spending time with family in nature. Perfect for coffee transitioning to cocktails on the deck. Perfect for fishing and exploring with little ones. For this trip we had 3 adults and one 6 year old. Small but in a fun intimate way.

If you are looking for a wonderful peaceful place to stay where you can look out the French doors by your bed and watch deer and squirrels, a large flowing creek, and a beautiful forest look no further. Top that off with only a mile into Wimberly which has excellent restaurants, shops, and galleries and to me this was a perfect vacation. This is my 4-5 stay at these properties and I will return. The location is lovely. Unfortunately, it was too cool to swim, but we enjoyed the property and decks. The home is well equipped, but would have liked a few amenities (coffee, laundry detergent, shampoo, etc.). The beds were comfortable, but the pillows on the king bed were too flat for us. My husband and I both used two pillows to prop our heads. One last thought, the water marks on the couch were unappealing for us. I understand it is a cottage by the creek, but it bothered me enough to put a towel down before using the couch. I hope your guests will be more careful about sitting on the couches with wet suits. None of these issues would keep me from renting again. Really a lovely get-away for my husband and me.
