House was beautiful but the cleanliness of it was horrible
From the day that we checked in on June 27th the house was disgusting all of the bed sheets in every single room where dirty Stand Up And discussing some of the burners on the oven did not work there was glass in the swimming pool the property manager when I finally was able to get in contact with him came by you couldn't get two words out he was very rude when trying to talk to him about my complaints especially with some of the outlets that didn't work all he wanted to do when I was trying to talk to him was going test every GF by the master bedroom did not have a smoke alarm which is a fire code violation within the first two days I killed at least two dozen roaches with in my two weeks stay there at least 50 under the couch cushions was all kinds of crom that even fingernails comforters had bloodstains on them and we're dirty and when said something to Lou the property manager all he wanted to say was you don't need those in summertime in Florida then why are they provided why are they on the bed the bathtub in one of the bathrooms between two bedrooms head soap scum and mildew we spend our first day heading to wipe everything down and pretty much because it was not done by the cleaning lady even the neighbors next door that I spoke with had told me that on multiple occasions they have seen the cleaning ladies show up be there for 10 minutes and leave the internet did not work for the first 3 or 4 days when I contacted him to call CenturyLink to have it reset he decided to take it upon himself to have the housekeeper's son named CJ come over and look at it you should not be having people show up to this house when you are renters or not there a property manager showing up is one thing but bringing a cleaning lady come in to look at dryer turn it on and say it works when you would have to dry your clothes two or three times before it fully works when I asked for the homeowners contact information to ask him a question regarding my daughter and about the home he refused this house is not being properly taken care of by this property manager especially when you're finding dead roaches and silverware drawers and a nightstand drawers and table lamp doors never again will I stay at the house that is managed by this guy Lou he is very ignorant disrespectful did not care about my complaint was more worried about getting home to his dog because of a thunderstorm for the money that I paid for this 2 weeks day I was not happy from day one lou your rude

Lots of Space - Great Location
This property was the perfect size for our family of 6. We enjoyed the large kitchen, living, bikes, and pool area. There were pool toys and games to keep everyone busy. We ended up paying for the pool heat because it was a little chilly - a good investment. The neighborhood was quiet. The canal had minimal traffic and was great to watch on an evening. It gets extra merits because it was affordable and close to our family in the area.
The location is showing wear and could use a good deep cleaning. A few things worth noting:
- Most of the linens were dated and at the end of their life. I don't think they were dirty, they just need to be replaced.
- Some of the skillets and sheet pans were sketchy at best - we ended up borrowing some from our nearby relatives.
- The property itself hadn't been cleaned well either. Things like thick dust in the window sills, on the fans, on baseboards, and in the corners of the rooms. Not things you noticed immediately but came apparent within the first day of staying.
- We did experience the ants' other reviews mentioned. The first day we put out ant traps and sprayed the kitchen and living area. It seemed to fix the problem - at least while we were there.
- Beach Items: This house was not well equipped with beach items for the 6 ppl it hosts. Luckily we had plenty because of nearby family. But something to be aware of if you plan to beach it.
- Bikes: The kids loved the bikes. There are six of them. However, only 3 had enough air in the tires to be ridden. The bicycle tire pump was there was not functional to air the tires. It was a small thing but if corrected could have been another bonus.
All in all this property worked well for us and we would return.

Worst experience of all time
We have used vrbo in the past and for the most part have been satisfied with our choice and accommodations. This time......NO WAY! First impressions are everything and just simply walking into the house was to say the least not pleasant. At least 15, if not more lights were burnt out, every surface of the house was either greasy or grimy, leading edges of every ceiling fan was caked with dust and dirt and the top of the refrigerator could have been planted with potatoes. Every bedspread we know had not been washed in months and the furniture smelled like old BO. Tiny ants were everywhere, sinks were clogged which were never cleared. One toilet kept intermittently running throughout the day and night. We arrived in January and it was cold at night naturally necessitating our turning on the heat. Well guess what, it didn't work. This so called "manager" of this place stated, "Oh we don't need heaters here in Florida". Really! Finally it was repaired the next day. The home was advertised with a heated pool and hot tub. NOT! The hot tub never worked the entire time we were there. Noisy construction right next door the entire time with dust, noise and exterior lighting shining in at night that incidentally shined in due to no curtains on large windows and sliders letting anyone/thing gazing in on our privacy all night long. It's not that this wasn't a relatively nice home, but the management of this place was a joke. The manager was this old, burnt out cartoon character in pants that was not only condescending, rude and insolent but argumentative and uncaring. The coffee pot didn't work upon arrival (shocker), so we purchased an inexpensive keurig coffee pot and he agreed to repay us. The guy left the check on the front door stoop with a rock on top of it and didn't tell us. After finding it on our own, it was made out to some unknown woman. He returns at some point, scratches out the incorrect name and puts my wife's name on the same check. We knew this wouldn't work but tried to cash it at his bank and no surprise, they wouldn't cash it and we didn't blame them. Finally, the day we left this s--thole, he corrected the check??? We checked out the reviews of this home before we rented and found no discouraging dialogs until after we submitted payment. How the hell does that happen? So this review could very well be hidden in a similar way. Beware of Blue Heron Home management in Port Charlotte Fl. The manager is an incompetent menace. Do better vrbo!

Beautiful house but needs improvements
It’s beautiful house but needs improvements and good cleaning service. For that price they charge for cleaning the house should be spotless but it was very dirty and dusty. Master bedroom mattress was maybe fifteen years old... sinks were clogged...toilet desks were very, very dirty... we couldn’t leave food on the counter kitchen because the little, tiny ants were on it right away. My kids wanted go back home right away but after the pool got heated they were willing to stay. I’m making sure to stay away from this Menagenent in the future.

Magnificent Memories
I wanted to write this review the 1st day we were here!! I'm glad I didn't because it only got better each day. This house was definitely turned into our home after the first day. What a gorgeous home.! Ceramic tile floors, high ceilings, marble countertops, gorgeous lighting, double ovens, high end couches, lovey pool...the list goes on and on. The master suite with kingsize bed, jacuzzi tub with walkin shower, double sinks and private toilet was amazing. The lovely canal had blue heron, pelican, alligators, catfish, gar, sand perch and stingrays. !! I would highly recommend this home to anyone who wants peace and relaxation with a touch of class. Thank you so much for sharing your home to us.

Nice location and good villa
Property 100%. Location 100%. Management company less than impressed. Booking experience and returning your deposit has ruined the experience. I would recommend you only deal with owners and not their agents in future.

Peaceful
I've been coming to FL for many years to see family and this was by far the best rental yet for us. So perfect. It was very clean, spacious 4 bedrooms for my kids, loved the canal behind us, the lanai and pool were so relaxing. We loved the spaciousness that came with this home. We didn't want to leave! We are moving to FL in 2 years and this home is exactly what we are looking for. Looking forward to renting this home in the future. Won't go anywhere else. Thank you Lou and Rita for being such great rental managers and giving us an awesome vacation with our family.

Port Charlotte house
We stayed at this house 1/20/16 - 1/27/16. The house is nice and spacious. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glasses, small appliances, etc. (Steak knives were broken, garage opener did not work, light above stove did not work) Master bedroom and bathroom were nice. The pool and hot tub were pretty to look at, though the water was not heated in either. The manager attempted to fix, but it did not work. We were disappointed in this and requested a discount on the weekly rate. He was unresponsive to this request. We are supposed to get the $70 back that we had paid to heat the pool. It is a decent house, but we chose it due to the nice photos and description of the pool and hot tub.
