The cottage was very clean, child and dog friendly. Great location, close to all amenities. Great beaches. Lovely hosts.
The only thing we didn't like was the noise from the main road but it wouldn't stop us returning.

Just a great sized property

The property was immaculate, the beds very comfortable, plenty of space for us 5 adults. Would easily accommodate 6. I often find 6 bedded properties only have adequate comfy seating for 4 but this place has 3 big sofas! 2 toilets which is always handy! Fully equipped kitchen (full size freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, not that we used them, as well as the usual white goods). Very cosy throughout. Quiet. Great location too.
Nothing!

The Denes is a beautiful bungalow, its a home from home, a brilliant place to stay. Its location is excellent, we couldn't have asked for more. Sue has thought of absolutely everything for the property to make your stay absolutely fantastic. Sue is friendly, attentive, happy to help and she remembers people who stay. Sue let our young son feed her fishes, she is truly a wonderful lady.
There was nothing that we didn't like. The new bathroom is sublime, the decor of the entire bungalow is gorgeous. I've seen some reviews on here moaning about seating and cleanliness, well the seating was ample for our party of 5 adults and one child and the accommodation was spotless. I couldn't write 1 negative about our stay, not 1. We would return year upon year if we could.

Everything! The Denes was immaculate with
Everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
Nothing really if I had to say one thing it would be the busy road but that didn't spoil anything for us.

The location was spoilt by the main road and the noise in front of the bungalow

Mablethorpe beach is quite something. The area is flat and ideal for cycles, especially the long promenade along the seafront. Mablethorpe does have events such as music festivals, even in September, so it's not a dead empty place; and there are enough tourist things to see to fill a week with (don't miss the aviation heritage centre for example, and the disused water mill is a great place to have breakfast). The house itself is an elongated bungalow, having been extended at the front at least once. It's at the entrance to a campsite. It's quite large and seemed reasonably kitted out, three TVs for instance that all seemed to work, and there's even a small front garden with a picnic table and a parasol. The host was friendly enough, and we quite often saw him pottering around.
Oh, and the onsite free parking actually was onsite and actually was free, unlike a number of places I saw on here where the small print admitted it was actually permits or a public car park or there was an extra charge. Plus, again unlike a number of other places, no damage deposit.
Forget talk of this being near the sea - it isn't. You won't be strolling down to the beach with your chair or beach towel (sorry), though cycling to it is quite plausible. Sadly talk of comfy beds wasn't borne out - significant other had to put towels under the mattress to avoid waking up with backache, and when I got home I slept like a corpse for two days.
The main bedroom as has already been mentioned needs heavier curtains or blackout blinds, especially in high season, and this is only one of a series of unfortunate and sometimes easily fixable niggles. There seemed to be an odd problem with chairs always getting in the way, which I struggled to understand until I realised the root cause - the owners are trying to squash six people into a house that isn't really big enough to justify that. It should really be a double and two singles, or maybe two doubles and a single; but because it's not, you end up with six sets of stuff constantly getting in the way of doors, cupboards etc. The floor didn't seem to be entirely level, though that doesn't seem to be particularly unusual in rural bungalows. The boiler seemed to struggle a bit with the concept of a hot bath for some peculiar reason. The TVs are capable of being networked, though only by hard cable and that hasn't been done, so if you have one bring a streaming stick with you.
If you like so peaceful and quiet you can hear the silence, then this isn't the one for you, because there's really no getting away from the main A1104 Alford Road going smack past the front, and the traffic rumbles past all day though it does ease off overnight. If you like a stroll round the town in the evening, then sorry but that isn't going to happen either - only on a technicality is this actually in Mablethorpe. It's more shortly before reaching it.

Home from home, nice garden and layout. Decent sized bedrooms with real beds! Amazing washing machine and towels. Location was okay to drive or walk into town.
Personally the bed linen smelt too perfumy as my husband has allergies and asthma we had to wash the linen and air outside before use, but I appreciate very few people will have this issue.

Could not fault anything.

No stairs ! I always book a property with that in mind as I’m disabled and need easy access for my scooter so I can charge it. The bungalow wasn’t suitable for someone in a chair all the time though as they’re is a few steps around the place, also the doors were narrow luckily I only need scooter outdoors. Sofa’s was amazing fully recliner. WiFi was perfect too. Garden was great dogs loved playing in it just a shame weather wasn’t better so we could eat in it. Would use again if in area
Main road was very busy at all times and when heavy vehicles went past the place shakes lol
Main entrance needs a plug point as my dad had to bring the scooter all through the bungalow to charge it everyday. Car has to be park a bit away as you can’t leave it at the side otherwise cars/caravans can’t get access. No oven glove for cooking mum said. Could be slightly cleaner in bedrooms and dining area (one with tv in) also needs less ornaments but that’s just my opinion.
