About this house rental

Two wonderful typical basque houses of 5 bedrooms and 4 bedrooms on a 65.000 sq ft closed land and 2 independent entrances.
They will be most adequate for a large family with 3 generations, or for 2 families spending their holidays together, with some independence, for exemple.
The 1st house of 5 bedrooms can welcome 10p. Its surface is 330 m2 and is composed of :
- On the ground floor : an entrance, a wide climatized living room overlooking a large terrace exposed south, a climatized dining room for 16 to 18 p, a large fully equipped and climatized kitchen (2 fridges, 2 oven, 2 dish washing machines, ...), a comfortable library, a home cinema (screen 3 x 2), a laundry, a bath room with shower and toilet, and an independent toilet.
- On the 1st floor : 5 bedrooms among which 4 with double beds (180 or 160), and one with 2 single beds. 2 bathrooms, 1 toilet cabinet with shower, 2 toilets. One of the bedroom overlooks a nice private terrace exposed west.
- A Mezzanine where 2 or 3 small children (4 or 6 years old max) can sleep. The house is fully equipped, baby beds, high chair, dryers, barbecue, table tennis, etc..
The 2d house has 4 bedrooms and can welcome 8p.
It is composed of :
- On the Ground floor : A living room and a kitchen both overlooking a covered terrace for lunch in the shade, one double bedroom with its toilet cabinet with shower and an independent toilet.
- On the 1st floor : 3 large double bedrooms with their bathrooms, or toilet cabinet with shower. 3 toilets
- In the Basement : a large TV lounge and a laundry.

It is possible to rent only the main house, knowing that either the main house is rented, or the 2 houses are rented to the same party. There is no chance that 2 different parties occupy separately the 2 houses in the meantime.

The houses are in a very quiet area, facing the mountain, but only at less than 3 miles from the ocean. The swimming pool is secured and heated from 15th of april to 15th of october. All deck chairs and beach umbrellas are provided.
You will fin a lot to do in the nearby, 2 famous golf courses of "Chantaco" and "La Nivelle", a lot of hikes in the mountain, tennis, hooked branches, thalassotherapy, restaurants, historical sites, etc...
These house are our family houses, we love them and we think you will feel like home and will have a very nice stay.

12 individuals, easily accommodated in this superb setting. 9 rooms available, only needed 8. Available equipment was more than adequate. Will recommend this venue to any family groups.

The properties were absolutely superb and the view was spectacular every morning. They were fully equipped with everything you required for all ages. The swimming pool was well maintained and had a secure fence to ensure the children were safe and a large garden for them to play in. The rooms were large, cleaned to a high standard and extremely comfortable, all guests had similar size of room with access to bathrooms. We are two families who holiday together every year and these properties were by far the best we have ever stayed in.

There was no one to greet us or explain where anything was, the keys were left under the mat with no explanations. We were told someone would be there to hand over keys and show us around, this did not happen. We spent 20 mins after a long journey trying to contact Eric to find out how we could enter the property. The house was sticky and full of fly's and ants and has a strange musty smell when we entered, we cleaned it several times while we were there but couldn't remove the smell. The fuse down stairs went after 2 days we couldn't find the fuse box and continually called Eric with no reply as we had no electricity downstairs. We had no where to put the rubbish again we continually tried to called no reply. On the day of leaving we piled rubbish outside so we could remove when we found out where to by the cleaners. The cleaners turned up 15 mins early shouting at all adults and children in French, that we hadn't left yet! We were waiting for our taxis and directions on how to remove the rubbish we also had another 15 mins till we were supposed to leave. A few of our children were freighted and started to cry when the cleaners started to shout , then the cleaners took photos of our children as well as the children's name and address labels on the cases they were holding!! We asked where we could put the rubbish? We were then shouted at again called dirty pigs uneducated English idiots! I then received several rude emails one after another from Eric calling me an uneducated idiot and dirty woman!! Eric then sent pictures of a mess left and graffiti which when I stated these were not true and not left by us he said oh yes wrong picture, these were done by his cleaners ??!!! This was a dirty house with no electricity for 4 days downstairs no help or advice when we called no one answered the phone, no-one to hand over keys. or tell us where anything was. I have been advised to seek advice from a solicitor as I don't know where the photos and address the cleaners took of our children have been sent and I have been informed this is a police matter.. What a rude man what a dirty house what a waste of money.!! The harassments, unkind, untrue and slanderers comments and accusations in the several emails that have been sent personally by Eric to my private email address is also a matter I have been advised to look into as this is not normal rational behavior. I would NOT recommend either of these houses or this Host.
