location was lovely, hut was all I needed, shower was excellent, owner very friendly and helpful.
the only drawback for me, was the distance from the hut to the toilet. Not a problem except during the night.
4.3
we loved the animals, the bed was very comfy, shower was impressive. scenery and location was great.
helpful neighbour, full of information about what was going on during our visit.
noisy clanging at night, something metal lose around the hut maybe.
towels not changed in 4 days or anything else topped up. batteries in torch nearly ran out, no matches available for the candles.
hair brush full of hair from previous visitor.

The hut was a lovely comfy place to have a romantic stay, the wood burner was lovely and made it super cosy
Being so close to the animals, and hearing them in the morning.
The raw and natural habitat was incredible
Very private location, surrounded by nature
The simplistic lifestyle to bring you close together ❤️
In the kitchen/bathroom area, had a few dead bugs but it's expected in the area. Nothing major and the milk was not as nice as other long life milk. Would have loved to of interacted with the llamas and feed them

Secluded and peaceful (apart from the animals which were lovely).
Good base for walking.
Village of Godshill delightful
No lights in the hut - a torch/lantern was provided, but no one told us and it wasn’t bright enough to read with.
No toaster, but one in photo.

location & waking up to animals! Very Cosy.
shower & toilet facilities not far but in the dark feel too far.

Fabulous friendly spotless stunning. The Hut was our port of call..ferry was delayed so Kathy and Mark waited around for our arrival. Pitch black. We got lost.Mark patiently talked us in. Kathy took us to the hut..and showed us the stable block. We found it very cosy..and very off the grid. Loo and shower a 35m walk away..our bad. Crashed out and awoke to sunshine horses Geese and a wow view. Spotless and such a comfy bed. But we missed being..on the grid. And it was no trouble at all for Kathy to allow us to move to a room in The Barn. Double wow. Huge room. Huge bed. Crisp linen. Tele..and WiFi yay😊. En suite super shower and loo..A huge open plan lounge facility with breathtaking views. So relaxing. Beautiful decor. 2 minutes from Godshill village..and 10 mins to the sea. See you again.

The location is amazing, it was great having nature on the doorstep and a great place to travel from.
Nothing.

lovely stay for a solo traveler for some peace and quiet!

The hut is fantastic if you want to get off grid and feel away from it all. You're right in the middle of ducks and geese and horses and shetland ponies with a lovely outlook. Nice walks out from the farm with two red squirrel sightings!
The separate utility room / bathroom is a 30 second walk away and was far more than we expected, with a microwave and crockery / cutlery etc for two people and a great shower.
Kathy the host was lovely and gave us good recommendations. We had lovely meals in the village at Cook and Baker (brunch), the Taverners (gastro pub) and also the Griffin (decent pub grub and pint, nice garden).
Outside the owners' control but next door were breaking a load of concrete and rock when we were there, so noisy during the day!
There's no BBQ so you'd need to take your own or a gas stove for breakfast. I think the owner does breakfast but they weren't there during our stay, so worth checking.

Perfect for an off grid retreat!

A beautiful location. Enjoyed feeling a part of nature. Comfortable and cosy.

The beautiful and peaceful view. Absolutely lovely.
Not specified that we would have no electricity or WiFi. Also, didn't realise that the facilities were a few metres down the road. This place is great for Warmer weather. I don't think I ll be brave enough to go in the winter though.

Great location and excellent breakfast

Lovely clean little shepherds hut with a beautiful view across the lake. Clean bathroom and kitchenette facilities a short walk away from the hut. Really nice location surrounded by farm animals.
There’s a very vocal cockerel nearby that starts up at sunrise
