Frühstück war sehr gut

Room was big, and shower good. Breakfast was excellently presented, even when we were the only guests! We asked for, and were given, a kettle, cups and tea. Sheltered bike storage (but open to the public road). The village had many lovely brick and semi-timbered buildings.
There was no lounge or sitting area where we could sit and read on rainy days (although there were covered tables for picnicking if the weather were good). No cafe/bar/restauramt in the village, other than an eiskafee that opened noon to 18.00, and a (good) doner take-away..

Beautiful little town! The hotel had several rooms upstairs and ours was clean and had been recently renovated. It was a beautiful mix of old vintage style wood furniture (Secretary writing desk, wooden chair with red velvet upholstery, etc) with modern comforts (large bed, TV, etc). The lady at the front desk was very friendly and easy to work with. We would happily stay again.

The hosts are extremely nice, helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had a courtyard room and it was very quiet. Bed was very comfortable, and a good beer available :)

Did what was advertised a clean and comfortable hotel room.
The first 2 nights were fine, a clean and comfortable room. On the third night we returned to the hotel at 10pm and there was a very loud party celebrating in the function room. Even though by German law all noise should stop at 10pm we weren’t concerned as we didn’t want to sleep straight away. At midnight I went downstairs to ask what time the party would finish and the son of the hotel owner said what’s your problem I earn more money from this than I do from your room. So rather upset I returned to my room. Then at 1.15am I again went downstairs to ask when the party was going to finish. The son manhandled me out of the building and said you’ve ruined the party, I’m going to throw you, your wife and your luggage on the street so give me your key. I obviously refused and he fetched the master key and went upstairs to outside our room shouting he was going to drag my wife out of bed. I went into our room to tell my wife what had happened, meanwhile the son took a phone call and went downstairs. So I locked the room door, left the key in it and tried to comfort my upset wife who has many serious health conditions including heart failure and kidney failure. After about an hour we managed to get to sleep although it was very interrupted.
The next morning we packed our bags and went to reception to pay our bill, immediately the son came over, stood about 9” from my face and started shouting how everything was my fault and I had ruined the party. Then he said I don’t know what your problem is as you are not paying for last night, turned, shouted there will be repercussions and left us with his mother to pay the bill. We paid and left.
This incident was particularly upsetting as we were in Germany for my aunts funeral and all we wanted was to be able to sleep at a reasonable time. If my mobile phone had connected properly I would have phoned and asked the police to attend as I felt very threatened and was assaulted by the son of the owner.
Disgusting experience.
