Hark back to the retro beach holidays of a by-gone era in this 1940’s Beach House fully fitted out with modern facilities and designer styling for the ultimate family holiday only 90km North from Sydney CBD in the stunning National Trust Village of Pearl Beach.

Freshly painted outside with a new lease of life - (more external photos to come) and comfortably fitting 8 people - whether it is 2 families (4 adults and 4 children), a large family or group of friends it is a great location for a weekend away or extended holiday.

A short, flat walk to the beach (two streets back from the beach), through the quiet streets, Pearlie offers a relaxing holiday experience in a single level, fully fenced residence. This modern, airy, 3 bedroom/ 2 bathroom cottage has lime-washed floors and a wrap-around verandah, leading to the large outdoor deck and back yard. Pearlie is superbly positioned close to the beach, Pearl Beach General Store and Café, children's playground, and the new and exciting Amalfi, Pearl Beach restaurant.

Pearlie has modern furniture, and a well-equipped kitchen with glassware, crockery. and a comprehensive range of cookware. An electric cooktop, oven and dishwasher makes cooking and cleaning easy. Appliances include kettle, toaster, toasted sandwich maker, rice cooker, milk shake and food chopper. The laundry contains a new washing machine and dryer.

There is an outdoor shower, a convenient option after a day at the beach.

Pearlie comfortably sleeps 8 guests, with the main (incl ensuite) and guest room containing queen beds, with the third room containing two bunk beds (4 single beds in total). All beds have quality mattresses, duvets and pillows. All linens for beds and towels will be provided.

During winter a log fireplace provides cozy warmth in the living room, perfect for watching TV or DVDs. Note there is no WiFi or Foxtel at the property.

A feature is the large backyard with covered verandah with outdoor gas heater. This space has a lounge area and large outdoor dining table - which seats at least 8 people, perfect for a BBQ lunch or dinner. The large backyard is grassed, fully fenced, and safe for children and small pets (please keep pets outdoors).

A 5-10 minute drive away is Umina where you will find major supermarkets and specialty shops. Coles and Woolworths offer Click and Collect Concierge Services.

Pearl Beach village is 90 minutes north of Sydney's CBD. From Sydney take the M1 north from Hornsby, exit at the Gosford turn-off, and about 2km later turn right at the lights onto Woy Woy Road. From Woy Woy make your way towards Umina via Ocean Beach Road and follow the signs towards Pearl Beach/Patonga. The Pearl Beach exit to the left is first, then follow the road down the hill to this little piece of paradise.

The location
Pearl Beach is a perfect place to relax with family and friends, or as a couple. It is quiet and secluded, but close to many attractions and amenities, the highlight being the beach, which overlooks Lion Head. Photos provided of these idyllic locations which are nearby.
The Cromellin Nature Arboretum is well worth a visit and wander through enjoying the tall trees, native birds and the odd wallaby! A more strenuous but very scenic walk is the Pearl Beach to Patonga trail, where the iconic Patonga Boathouse awaits. Stunning beaches at Ocean Beach, Umina, Killcare and Avoca are all a short but beautifully scenic drive. On rainy days you can check out the markets in Ettalong or catch a movie at the gorgeous Ettalong Cinema Paradiso. Hardy's Bay (behind Killcare Beach) is well worth a visit to check out the shops, art gallery and cafes. Yoga in the Pearl Beach Hall rounds out a perfect holiday.

If you want to escape it all and get back to basics this place is the ticket. It’s basic but has everything you could need. The little touches make a difference. Back garden is a bonus. Distance to beach perfect. Quiet and peaceful.

Great Location! It was an easy walk to the dog beach and the local cafe. The large back yard was great for the dog to run around. Unfortunately the house had a damp, musky smell that didn’t go away and TV had a terrible signal. Fire place was great as it got cold at night.

This is an ideal location and has a great outdoor space at the back, for both sitting and play, which we braved regardless of the rain. The woodfire heater made us cosy for the duration of this exremelely wet weekend. Our hosts were extremely attentive when it came to resolving a couple of issues, which was much appreciated.

Thanks for a lovely few days. The house is cute and has everything you might need. Easy stroll to both beach and general store / cafe. Huge landscaped back garden. Word of warning though, if you take your dog be aware that a small dog can squeeze under the gate.

This property enjoys a and excellent peaceful location at Pearl Beach which were able to share with our two Moodles who enjoyed running along the beach and in the back yard. Alas, upon arrival we found the property had not been cleaned following the previous visitors. The property owner organisied emergency bed linen to be dropped off and a cleaner to cast her magic the following morning. The outcome was far from satisfactory. We were surprised not to find a coffee machine and wifi. Overall the weekend was not good value.

We had a lovely stay over Christmas. All bedrooms had portable fans however the living areas and verandah would definitely benefit with ceiling fans as it got pretty steamy. The dining and garden seating areas on the covered verandah was perfect for entertaining and the huge backyard was great for our dogs and a game of cricket. Everything you could need was available including a bbq and outdoor shower. The cottage is an easy level stroll to the beach and perfect for families, couples etc

A great little cottage for a girls weekend away. Great location on a quiet street, lovely outdoor dining area, or relax on the couch in the garden setting. Well equipped kitchen, heaters, plenty of blankets etc. Would recommend to anyone- especially family with kids, who would LOVE the spacious flat backyard area.

Charming cottage on a huge, leafy block with a great backyard for ball games etc. The back deck is huge with lots of comfortable seating making it a pleasure to be outside. It's a short distance to a quiet paddle beach with a playground for the kids. This really was the perfect place for our family get together.

Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable and the beds were very cosy and comfortable. The location was ideal as it was walking distance to the beachside cafe and general store. Our only disappointment was the fact we couldn’t commit ourselves for a longer stay to further enjoy the accommodation

Due to a mixup in last minute bookings, there was no cleaning or change of linens after the last guests BUT Lisa was fantastic in communicating explaining the situation and getting a quick resolution for us. Also the cleaning crew who came out at short notice did a great job sorting things out while we went for a beach walk, so all very positive in the end. The place was great, perfect for our group of 4 friends, and would highly recommend!

We loved staying here as an extended family. My mum loved catching the May sun on the verandah and the kids loved being able to play soccer in the yard. Beautiful tranquil location, the cottage had pretty much everything we needed. Thankyou. A really lovely place to stay and we hope we can come again.

Thank you for such a lovely place to spend a manageable weekend away with elderly parents and teen children! We loved the character of this house and it’s perfectly located close to beach. Sadly the weather wasn’t so great so we’ll have to arrange a repeat visit!

We had a great holiday at Pearlie house. Hosts were very helpful to our queries.The garden is secure, private with lots of room for pets. It’s a lovely property that needs a little bit of attention, outdoor furniture could have a spring clean, so too kitchen equipment and tv. Pearl beach is a perfect holiday destination.

We loved our Christmas week at Pearl Beach, the house was in the perfect location for us. Close to the off leash part of the beach and couldn’t get over how quiet the area is. Walking distance to the cafe and all flat along the beach front. The house was very comfortable and had great beachy vibes.

The property is in a great location. Could have been cleaner but ok. Disappointed that the listing said it had a coffee machine but there was not one (not a big deal but we would have packed tea and coffee bags if we had known). Messaged the owner on our first of two nights and did not get a reply.

Communication by the owners was poor. The access code to the property was not provided prior to arrival. I emailed the owner on the day of check-in and didn't receive a reply for 24hrs! And that was after a follow up email. It was only via some wonderful help from the local real estate that I was able to access the property. They also made a call to the owner & left a message. The property was in a good location and was really peaceful. Given the coming holiday season the outdoor spaces could have been cleaned of cob webs, leaves, dust. The outdoor cushions were moldy and dirty and weren't inviting to sit on. The property just needs some love! Hope the owners care enough about their guests to give this cute little house some love.
