Checked in and immediately noticed ants and dirty floors. I then turned on the minisplit A/C to cool the room down while I contacted Vacasa about the housekeeping issue. While on hold, I noticed there was trash in the trash cans, and kitchens had not been wiped down.
There are several spots where plaster that has been repaired but not painted. The inside left of the door jamb looks like it was kicked in. The towel bar is missing (pic 14). There's a large mirror in pics 12 and 13 that's also missing. Shampoo/soap dispenser missing bottles. A window lever was still missing so we were unable to lock that the entire 6 days we stayed there. We had to figure out how to tape it shut, because no one came to deal with ANY of the issues in this very small unit.
We booked this for the "lake view" (which we presumed meant that would be our view from our room) and the hot tub. The lake view can only be seen from the open front door of the unit or the rooftop area. The room was in such a poor state that we didn't expect the hot tub to be maintained either.
All of these room issues are mentioned in a review left 8 months ago on December 7, 2023, so there has been plenty of time to remedy this. I spent every day of my vacation trying to get in touch with Vacasa for housekeeping service and a refund. I sent pics of issues several times with no contact from the local team and no help from the corporate team. Terrible condition, absolutely should not have been rented.

The unit we rented for two and one half weeks was not in very good condition but it was clean. The view which was said to be a Waterview actually had a window that looked out onto a shared hot tub that was only 3 feet from the window. The window in fact was also broken and would not close so all noise from the hot tub was heard load and clear. There was only a folding wooden chair to sit on. The bathroom sink was clogged. We asked to have our money refunded but the answer was no. It was a very disappointing experience.

We loved the roof top porch with the amazing view across the water to the city!!

Unit is in a nice area but desperately in need of repairs. Wall plaster has been repaired but not painted yet. Towel bar missing. Shelf missing only brackets remaining. Shampoo/soap dispenser missing bottles.Window lever missing so unable to lock. I contacted guest service rep and was told they’d come make repairs but they never showed. This unit should not have been rented in this condition.

The property is on Mercer Island but is very close to highways making it easy to get where you need to. I was 15-20min from everything in the city. Great if you don’t want to deal with the city but be near it. The view from the upper deck was amazing, try to catch a sunset/sunrise. The room itself was just that, a room but it has a coffee maker, microwave toaster, mini fridge, sink, etc. so the host do provide you with essentials. I arrived to a clean welcoming room with a book filled with great information about my room/stay. The room is perfect for solo or paired travelers. Overall, I had an amazing experience.

We loved our room on Mercer Island. We could collapse in a comfy, cozy space after long days of exploring the city and hiking at both Mt. Rainier and Olympic National Parks.

Came to town to see a Mariners game. VRBO was clean and in a quiet/safe neighborhood with easy access to downtown Seattle by Lyft/Uber or local transit. Perfect for a short getaway. Go M’s! ⚾️

Such a nice and peaceful get away. Only 10 minute drive from Seattle. Convenient, comfortable and quaint.

If you have a car, this place is very good. If no car, going to downtown attractions is not as convenient. bus 630 is close but only runs at certain times in the early morning and early evening. Bus 550 runs all day but it is 25 minutes of walking. Room is small but is ok for 2 people.

I stayed here as I started a new job on the island and it was great. I had read a lot of issues about ants so I was concerned. First night only saw one ant then two days in there were ants inside my cereal. I brought it to a man named Sean who is the property manager about it. He said he couldn’t get someone out while I was living there and to get windex to kill the ants. I ended up just buying liquid ant bait and the ants then were gone for the rest of my stay. I hope I was able to help fix the probably for future renters.
The walls a pretty thin so you can hear if there are other people staying in the other room.
The hot tub was very nice!
I would stay here again!

Helens Room
The apartment was very pretty, clean and practical. The location was very good as a starting point for excursions, but unfortunately Interstate 90 is very noisy.
The public guest area outside was disappointing. The terraces were dirty and the seat cushions were broken. The grill was in the driveway and not on the patio. There was also a table missing.
When water was turned on in the neighboring apartment, it was exceptionally loud to hear.

Room was nice and clean. Property was safe. Room was smaller than the pictures led on, but just fine for a couple. Some of the pictures in the listing are views from other parts of the property, not from the room. Hvac worked great. The only bad thing was that the hot tub was a mess. There was a greasy scum around the edges of the tub that really grossed us out so we didn’t get in. Other than that, it was a safe and comfortable place.

Three reasons to rent:
1. Prefer to be away from tourist areas: quiet, safe neighbourhood with easy Transit connections to Seattle.
2. Hottub. Great jets and ok heat (if left covered between uses).
3. Rooftop viewing area has spectacular view - if you can handle the stairs.
Other info: Small (14ft x 18ft, including bathroom, closet, bathroom vanity and "kitchen" counter). Limited cooking supplies. Small microwave. Comfortable Queen bed. New, super-quiet heating/cooling. Low weather/sound proofing. Owners have dogs. Bring earplugs. Management easy to access to report issues. With better maintenance, would earn 5 stars.

Whatever you do bring your own extra towels, coffee, and other small amenities that a hotel provides. This particular place advertises the use of a hot tub but only supplies one towel per guest. Unless you go by yourself you will be sharing a hot tub towel and a bathroom towel to dry off. I called to get more towels and got the run around all day. I will be posting my full conversation on Facebook along with the receipt for the extra towel I had to buy.

The area is beautiful and the house is nicely equipped.
BUT, we had no idea that there are several rooms on sight.
We found it out only on check in…
Plus, as it turned out, we got a room with no lake view.. only back yard.
The other room checked in late, really noisy at night, cause it’s like three meters from door to door, and the bed is right next to it, so you hear everything.
The hot-tub was super dirty and right next to the bedroom big window… so we never used it because of the water condition AND we couldn’t open the curtains because you can’t be sure if someone else will suddenly come to use the hot-tub and see inside your room.
There’s noise from the highway all night long, you can hear every single car that passes.
Small extras - The wallpaper is damaged on some areas, so is the wall paint
The towel rack is missing…
And on top of all, I emailed the company on check in because of the above, never got an answer or any response..
Pretty and Disappointing.

Reason I gave 4 stars was because we could hear the dog barking from the host house constantly, we could hear the next door renters alarm going off for an hour, we noticed ants got in our food overnight, Parking was a little confusing/unclear so I parked off to the side.
The place was decorated super cute and clean.

The room wasn’t what we expected. It was clean and today however the website is a bit misleading. You don’t get to use hot tub unless you rent a min of three nights. (Nowhere does it state that.) won’t book again however I wasn’t completely dissatisfied.

Extra pillows & towels . Fridge door needs fixing dose not close properly.
Exterior stairs and landing need a power washing.

The location of this property was ideal for visiting our son and his fiance on Mercer Island. The Mount St. Helens room was clean, bed was comfortable and it had everything we needed for our stay. The room looks onto the hot tub which we never used while staying there. We did hear the neighbors a little in the Blue Angels Room but that happens at hotels too. The off street parking was nice but could be a little short for larger vehicles. It's nice that the owners are environmentally conscious and provide instructions for recycling, and they also provided instructions for operating various technology, etc. in the room. I might suggest that for guests staying more than one night, a few hooks in the bathroom to hang wet towels on would be beneficial. We look forward to coming back and maybe staying in the Blue Angels Room as the location and what the listing offered were exactly what we needed for our stay on Mercer Island and visiting family. I would definitely recommend this property.

Well located in good neighborhood.

Ok, probably wouldn’t come back
The property is in a great location, has an updated look, and the hot tub was very nice. Here’s why I probably wouldn’t stay here again: dead bugs and cobwebs near the vanity, thin walls, smaller than expected, and the loose fit of the door causes a draft.

Nice house in a great neighborhood. Only drawback was fairly constant dog barking from the house hosting the visit. Other than that it is a nice property, very close to Seattle and comfortable.

Smaller than we thought but overall great experience. Couldn’t find any coffee to self brew though with the keurig

My favorite was the bed. All in all, I appreciated the luxury of having all I needed near proximity to me, very convenient.

Mercer Island Hideaway
Enjoyed the location and the property as a whole, however the sheets were stained and the floors were a bit dirty in the corners. Overall I’d recommend this property and would stay again, I’d just suggest purchasing new sheets and tidying up a bit beforehand.

Short but good stay
My mom and I were in Seattle for a few nights and most things about this place were great and accurate to the description. We had one issue on the last night with the parking situation and couldn’t get a hold of the property manager for quite sometime. We chatted with the other guests to make room to park our vehicle. Otherwise the place was enjoyable. Location was perfect!

Great space, hot tub was relaxing.
Very pleasant stay. Room well appointed. The only suggestion would be a handbook for guests regarding use of hot tub and functions and for check out procedures. Would stay again.

A great value
This was the perfect spot for our visit. It was a very clean room on a quiet street, very comfortable bed, and a great location for morning walks or runs. There was an issue with the heat the first day, but Vacasa responded to it immediately. My only caveat: It would be good if there was more drawer space for clothing and more hangers.

Best Kept Secret for Travelers and Couples
Very private and secluded escape; really convenient access to I-90, Seattle, or Bellevue!
2.0 / 10.0
Not as advertised
The property was advertised as being 660 sqft, however in reality it was only about 225 sqft which is smaller than a standard hotel room. Additionally, there weren’t any hangers in the closet, no iron, no ironing board, and no information to connect to the secured WiFi. I will find an alternative property to stay next time.
