Great choice for the price

This condo is very nice - good kitchen and living space. There is one bedroom at each end of the condo so seven getting up at night does not bother those in the other bedroom. The location is great as it is across the street from the beach. Could be better if the grounds keepers did not run their mower and trimmer at 7:30 am or if the garbage truck did not pick up the garbage at 6:30 am - but you can't do much about that.

Condo located just steps from the beautiful beach, and many restaurants are within walking distance. The pool was also warm and very clean Condo was comfortable and had everything we needed. Would stay here again!!

The location is perfect. It was a very nice bright condo. The mattresses kind of need updating.

The 2 bedroom condo was perfect for our family of 5. The location is great. Pool after the beach was great for the kids! The condo could use some updating, but overall it was exactly as we expected. 1st floor location kept us from dragging beach toys/chairs up stairs. Location is right next to laundry room which came in handy. My one request is more beach gear. There was no functional umbrella and only camping chairs, no beach chairs. A beach wagon would be a true bonus. Kitchen was stocked with enough supplies for us to make breakfast and lunch. Coolers is located in the condo. 1 1/2 bathroom worked out great for our family to be able to get ready in the morning and when going to dinner. Many restaurants within walking distance. 4 ice cream stands within walking distance. There are 2 free transport services, Freebie is the name of one…I cannot remember the other name. We ended up renting a car and didn’t need these services. Publix and Walmart are within a 10 minute drive for groceries. Be warned-we tried Walmart Grocery pickup and the store could not fulfill our order. Needed up going to Walmart and handpicking our items. Chill is a great restaurant over on Corey street. There is a Sunday market on Corey street as well with produce, crafts, and baked goods. Great experience for us in Upham Beach!

Fantastic location, updated kitchen, plenty of room for a large group. Would definitely visit again!

enjoyed stay but room could have been cleaner upon arrival. needs some updates. was able to walk and get to many things. nice area to stay.

This is our second time staying here and we will be back again. You cannot beat this location. Just a couple blocks from restaurants/bars and right next to the beach. Be sure to buy toilet paper and bring all your toiletries as there is only one roll provided for each bathroom. No big deal for us!

I loved this place!! I will say it wasn’t very clean upon arrival however I loved the location!!! The lady who ran the front desk was so helpful and kind. The unit is pretty outdated but perfect for a beach vacation. Lots of room!!!!!! The shower seemed a bit dangerous for my parents who are older. They need to add a mat or something to it. It’s very slippery! I would definitely stay here again!

This is a nice little place. Check in and check out very easy!!! Kitchen had all amenities needed. Place was a good size for a family. Decor is a bit dated with some mild fixings needed. Had a bad smell however not a deal breaker since a little Lysol fixed it. Would possibly recommend getting rid of the carpet and going straight to tile. Management company very friendly and happy to help. Pool was nice and all around was a decent place to stay at an affordable price!

It was perfect. Big enough for us, very cleaned, great location, and within walking distance to the beach. I liked the room with the bunk beds for the kids, and the main master bedroom felt cozy and welcoming. We loved it and I would rent this same unit in the future.

Lots of room, but lots of things need updated or fixed. Property was clean, bathtub shower was pretty disgusting, dishwasher rack was broken, stool ran all the time, must have leak. It was OK, but have stayed in others and they are much nicer. Kitchen was well stocked. good location.

The location is perfect. Close to beautiful Upham Beach, shops, restaurants, and bars. The pool was surprisingly amazing! It was super clean and warm. Gulf Winds Resort keeps the main property very clean. The lodging has everything you need with a really nicely stocked kitchen and plenty of stuff for the beach (small cooler, couple of chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, sand toys, flippers, toys) which is nice. NO beach towels that I noticed, but plenty of other towels. The open floor plan with bedrooms on opposite sides of the condo was a great layout for my little family. I always felt very safe, too. Now for the big issue I had... The deposit policy this owner has is really not cool. You will be asked to PAY--not hold--PAY $1500 weeks before you arrive. And then I had to email and call to get my money back when I didn't see a credit back to my credit card 3 days after we left. The owner was just going to let VRBO keep my money until it 'timed out' which was a full two weeks after my departure--and she tried to make it seem like it was VRBO's policy, which is not true. Owners have full control to release the deposit after checkout. Plus, VRBO customer service rep said that most owners have a more friendly 'hold' type deposit that doesn't make you pay upfront. I think I would've chosen another property at Gulf Winds had I known this upfront. You have to do the dishes and walk your own trash out to the dumpster or they will charge you an additional fee. Parking is great though--easy access to every unit. The beds and pillows are very uncomfortable--2 star motel beds and bedding in my opinion. There was sand in my bed when I got in it. The condo has popcorn ceilings with a few places where mold is growing. You can hear the upstairs neighbors but they weren't too noisy. The entire condo needs updating, but when they update it, the price won't be as reasonable I'm sure. OVERALL, you get what you pay for. A decent little spot to hang out, relax, and party near St Pete Beach for a good price.

Nice property, the beach is very beautiful, bathrooms need a lot update, only 1 trash bag available for the whole stay, I would stay again, thanks Teresa for her hospitality

Not happy, dirty grout, bug crawled out of luggage, toilet had to be flushed many times and it ran a long time, no directions for the mold around baseboards and ceiling...lose tile under kitchen cabinets..owners belongings in closets no room for guests things...air-conditioning very loud....only one key worked for the doors....very outdated...tub needed a no slip mat....

This unit with its completely accessible front room was great for independence for family in a wheelchair. The location was excellent and was super easy to get to pool/beach/snackbar, all completely rollable. Made for a W/c friendly vaca. We will for sure be back!

Condo was in a great location and staff was very friendly. Condo itself needed updating and a deep cleaning.

Only concern was only 2 rolls of toilet paper and didn’t realize needed to purchase our own until we were out! Some pool noddles and toys which we enjoyed. Lots of room for our family of 7. Pull out couch is horrible! Other beds were adequate, loved the back area for my kids to hang out. Thankful for pack n play for the 1 year old. Location of this condo is ground level and right next to laundry. Check in was a little confusing but we did contact the property management during check in hours and we were able to get the info how to check in after hours and it when very smooth.Although it could use some updating it was exceptionally clean, roomy, and such a great price for our budget! The location is stellar for at Pete beach area! Able to walk to many restaurants. Walmart, and grocery store short 5 minute drive. I highly recommend this unit for your vacation!

The place is not fancy or updated but it is a perfect location, with tons of space.

Great property! Spacious and so close to the beach!

Very much enjoyed our stay! We usually stay a bit north, but we really loved the location this time! So much to do (AND EAT) close by, but it was really laid back at our place and so peaceful at night! The property is a little older than some but was very clean and spacious, air conditioning worked well, and it was perfect for our family of four. Parking was a little tricky during the weekend and there was no dishwasher detergent, but neither was a big deal. We will be back in the future if it is available.

Overall very good. Close to the beach and main street with restaurants etc. Apartment clean and functional. Interior renovation is however due...

Where to start? You need to book this place ASAP! The property is located in an amazing location, close to EVERYTHING, dining, shopping, the beach, ice cream, etc. We rented a car, but barely used it because we were able to walk everywhere. The property is very clean and the pool was nice with having two little kids. The unit we stayed in was very clean and had everything that we needed during our stay. It is dated, but it is not run down, the unit is VERY WELL taken care of. You can tell the owners care about the property and the unit itself. Theresa was the nice lady that checked us in and gave us a lot of information about the area. We didn't need to contact her again, but she gave us her business card if we needed anything so we felt like she really cared about the renters and the property. The owners of this condo that we stayed in, were AMAZING!! Again, we traveled with our 2 little kids and I had numerous questions before we arrive and Rachael was right there to answer all my questions. Thank you! If you are looking for a 2 bedroom condo in the St. Pete area, this is the location for you. Thank you again to the property and to the owners of the unit we stayed in, it made the trip that much better!
