Very nice house in quiet neighborhood. Spacious and homey. Nice only need your clothes and food to make it a home. Very nice open park at end of road. Walked our dogs there every day. Decent backyard area. Nice new washer and dryer. Nostalgic 50 year old record collection added to old home town ambience.

A disappointing rental for us. Dark, and few windows actually looking out. Old furnishings, appliances & dishware. Didn't see any smoke alarms, and several outlets were not secured in the wall. The advertised private outdoor area was tiny and unkempt. Neighborhood was rundown & inconvenient to most of the area's attractions, including the downtown. Host was attentive, the unit was clean, and there was a decent bed, but we wouldn't go back there.

You could not ask for a better home for our two families. Plenty of beds for the 8 people in our group. The home has everything you’ll need. Bring your clothes and you’ll be set. Even wash your laundry before you leave. All soaps and paper products provided. Nice back porch area for those who smoke or take in some sun. The host is above nice.. she’ll check on you and recommend local places for entertainment and food. If I’m eve to back in the area, I will for surely trip to book the BIRDHOUSE again.

Lovely house and very sweet host. The surrounding neighborhood has dogs and music so bring earplugs.

Due to Ida me and my family were forced to find temporary housing until we could new place to live. Found this house on VRBO and saved money by not having to get hotel rooms. Very cozy and close to everything in town. Paz reached out to make sure all our needs were met. House and owner were blessings in a time of need . Thanks Paz for everything.

The hostess was gracious and acommodating. The house was spacious with nice appliances. We had three generations present to attend our daughter's graduation from University of Louisiana. We had a wonderful time.

We enjoyed our visit tremendously. The property was spotless and reminded me of walking into my great grandmothers house with the wood floors. There were stainless appliances and a new washer and dryer. It was nice to come home with a suitcase full of clean clothes. The house was stocked with coffee and basic essential spices in the cabinet as well as plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. There was a nice little back deck for morning coffee and a small fenced yard for my grandson to play. The beds were great and plenty of towels for the bath. My only draw back was that the property is not handicapped accessible. It did not advertise that it was, and I usually do ok, but the front steps were difficult to nagivate with the wobbly hand rail. I just used a cane and was able to manage. The property is just off of Pinhook and easily accessible to everything we planned to see. We will most likely stay here again when we travel back to this area!

Paz and her team were great to work with, the home was as listed. There were a couple issues that arose and Pax and her team were available and responded to our needs quickly. The home is an older home, in Louisiana, so one should expect things associated. We had 2 families staying, and it we were able to have meals together and spend time that we would have missed out on staying at a hotel, specially during the current COVID restrictions.

This property is so cute and quirky! We fell in love with its charm. We had all the amenities we needed and Paz was an amazing and responsive host. The place was clean and we enjoyed sitting on the back porch. There are many great food options and we fell in love with the boudin. All were able to be delivered to the home no issues! We would love to stay here again if in town again. We traveled on business and the internet and everything we needed was there. Thank you.

Booked this property for extended evacuation after Hurricane Laura because our home was uninhabitable. Wanted to be close enough to home to be easily available for cleanup, repairs, & work.Upon discovering that this property wouldn't be available after the initial week booked, I asked the owner to have mercy on us (this being our 3rd move in 1 week) & allow us to check out early when I found another place that was available for 3-6 weeks, since we knew it would be at least that long until we would be able to move back home. I was coldly referred to the cancellation policy of "no refunds" with no consideration of a compromise or any compassion for our circumstances. Enough about the owner, here are issues with the home itself:1. No hot water for almost 24 hours after check in (after being at our home to assess damages, with no electricity & water all day) 2. Window unit A/Cs are not able to cool the home adequately in August afternoon heat.3. Ants all over kitchen, hard to see w/ black speckled counters. But constantly there foraging for anything they can find.4. Neglected & overgrown yard & "gardens"5. Lots of people & cars coming & going in the neighborhood
