Exceptional property and location

We really enjoyed our stay in this Wicker Park home. The house was very clean and comfortable. The draw back being the three flights of stairs, but it was worth it! The location was great. It was a quiet neighborhood with amenities close by. We were able to UBER everywhere. Don’t miss a quick ride to Pequod’s for some delicious pizza! The Donut Tour is also a fabulous way to see the city and learn some history. We had a great time!

Great location, great apartment. Highly recommended.

This is a great property at a great location. It is attention to detail that prevents a higher rating. Two of the three bedrooms do not have light darkening drapes, so you are up at sunrise. Listing had Netflix, but it never worked for us. Owner unable to fix. Nicely equipped kitchen, but lacked some basics. I.e. no tea kettle. Path from gate to stairs was gravel & dirt, turned muddy when it rained.

The place was beautiful & very clean! Fluffy towels, comfy beds and quiet. Walking distance to restaurants & shopping, and the L train is a 5min walk for a short trip to downtown Chicago. Excellent communication with the host. Thank you Amy! We loved our stay here!

We enjoyed our stay here. Communication with the owner was easy and fast. The apartment was clean and well taken care of. Everything was updated and new. The beds were very comfortable. There is a walk up to the apartment of three flights. This wasn’t a big deal and good exercise, but this could be a problem for some people. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly!

Spent five days, in town for our daughter’s wedding. The place was spotless and comfortable for our party of 6. The owners were very friendly. The location is superb for exploring, so much within a 10 minute walk. Highly recommend.

This is our second time staying at this property. It is the top floor in an old house that is accessible by stairs. Very charming and quiet with easy on-street parking. It is within walking distance of several great restaurants and a grocery store. Very convenient for driving or taking mass transit into downtown. We always felt safe. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at this Wicker Park VBRO. The owners have done a fantastic job designing this three bedroom, two bath apartment into a very beautiful and comfortable place to stay. It is conveniently located just a couple blocks from the blue line CTA Station so getting around Chicago couldn’t be easier. We loved the apartment’s detailed design choices made by the owners. The bathrooms were impeccable with gorgeous tile, ample space, great bathroom towels and toiletries for our use. So nice to have a hair dryer provided as well. The three bedrooms have great morning light and beds are very comfortable. The kitchen worked well for our group and it has a dining room table and great room to relax in with better furniture than most VBROs we’ve stayed in previously. While the hike up to the third floor may be a challenge for people with mobility concerns, our group of friends found the apartment with light coming into the beautiful windows well worth it! The hosts were very responsive and helpful! Thanks for a fabulous stay!

This is a great hone in a great Chicago neighborhood. The space was safe, clean, well-appointed, well stocked with everything we needed. There were great shops, restaurants,
and access to public transportation in walking distance. Guests should be aware of the three story climb to the apartment, which could be difficult to navigate in bad weather. We hope to return when visiting our daughter who lives about 4 blocks away.

What a wonderful stay we had in this Wicker Park charmer! The space is open and airy, and simply and purposefully decorated. Comfortable beds, fluffy towels, and even details like quality hand soap and dish soap attended to. The location was perfect for easy access to the el train to/from O’Hare airport as well as to downtown. Lots of restaurants to choose from (We really enjoyed the Kanela Breakfast Club and Big Star Tacos on Milwaukie Ave), and a convenient small grocery to grab a bottle of wine and some cheese only a half block away. Amy was such a fantastic host, who was incredibly accommodating and gracious as our number of guests and arrival times kept changing! She and her family live onsite, and really make you feel like old friends! The perfect vibe for a small group of college mates in their 50s to come together for a weekend! Fortunately, the advice from others to be prepared for some stairs prompted us to pack smaller lighter bags to make it easier – but none of us had any issue. In fact, we kind of needed to walk off those Stan’s doughnuts and Dolci Amori pastries! Thank you again Amy – we hope to return soon!

We were a group of college friends and spouses, 55+. This was a wonderful place to rent. It is very large with high ceilings. The beds were comfortable and all of the finishes are very luxurious. If you can handle the 3 flights of steps up, this could be the perfect stay for you. The sheets, towels even the toilet paper were first class. The hosts could not have been more accomodating especially when we added an extra night and extra person at the last minute. The neighborhood is safe and a short walk to the blue line trains.

My sisters and I stayed at this property for a long weekend. The 3 bedrooms and 2 baths were perfect. The neighborhood is gorgeous, stores and restaurants are half a block away. My only advice is to pack light and bring a small suitcase. The unit is on the third floor and the steps can be tough.

We loved the opportunity to stay in this beautiful home. We walked to many neighborhood favorites, easily popped into the city, and spent quality time around the kitchen table talking. Amy and Brian are wonderful hosts.

We are four friends who traveled to Chicago for a long weekend and had a fantastic time. The apartment is beautiful, beds are comfy, and the bathrooms are spotless with plenty of hot water. If you have mobility issues, please note that it is on the third floor with an outdoor staircase. We are all in our 50's and this wasn't a problem. Great neighborhood with many walkable options for dinner. Thanks for a wonderful stay Amy and Brian!

Immaculate and impeccable!
The unit was big, clean and beautiful. Everything you need is within walking distance. Great food, pizza, restaurants and bars. Dove's is a must for breakfast. The train is right there if you want to go downtown. Check in and check out was easy.
Best place we have ever stayed at in Chicago and we will be back.

Perfect rental for our family!
Our family of four (kids ages 11 & 16) was so comfortable in this rental. The home was clean, spacious, bright and a short walk to the train station. Amy, the owner, was incredibly helpful with instructions & restaurant recommendations.

Better than you think
We stayed at this property while in Chicago for a friend’s wedding, and it was amazing! 3 good sized bedrooms, 2 very nice bathrooms, high ceilings, lots of natural light, ample seating. Honestly, it was nicer than the pictures make it look. There are a lot of stairs to get to the unit, but once inside it was everything we could’ve asked for and more. Would def stay here again.

Great apartment in a great neighborhood
I stayed here for a girls weekend in early May. The apartment was very clean, spacious, and had updated amenities and a beautiful back porch for sitting out and enjoying your morning coffee. Located in a great neighborhood in walking distance of many bars, restaurants, etc.

Wouldn't change a thing
Owner was prompt and courteous in all communications. Beautiful neighborhood and beautiful home. Beds were very comfortable and towels and bedding were top notch. Everything was stocked very well, even soaps and shampoos in the showers. Excellent water pressure. Tastefully done, impeccably clean. Loved the location. We were going to shop the Magnificent Mile but just walked around the area. Great shopping, food, and coffee shops nearby. This lovely apartment is on the third floor of the Graystone, but well worth the walk up the outdoor steps. We would stay here again.

Very homey, well equipped
Brian and Amy have thought of everything. From the coffee to the beautifully done bathrooms, we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room to spread out. As long as you can climb stairs, I highly recommend.

My family of 5 adults stayed here for a short two night stay. This rental was wonderful! Exceptionally CLEAN! Location is easy to find - took a Lyft from Midway (aprx 25 mins), used the Blue Line to go into the city (Blue Line is only a couple of blocks away) it is also a short 15 min ride to the United Center. Communication with Amy was excellent. She was very helpful and was quick to answer any of our questions. When we get the opportunity to return to Chicago this place will be our first choice. Definitely a 5 Star rating! Thank you Amy for sharing your place with my crew!
