In the “gateway to Acadia” and set on the shores of a bay just off Mount Desert Island is this charming, beachfront, 3 bedroom home. A recent renovation making this a very comfortable home away from home. Nice, large, newly added sun room with lots of windows to soak in the view and the fresh ocean breezes. Large master bedroom with picture window overlooking the Bay. Air conditioning installed in 2019 on both floors!
Great access to a beach steps away from the house provides hours of fun beach combing and even swimming if you wish to try the chilly Maine waters! Check out the many birds and other indigenous wildlife including eagles, herons, loons, deer, you may even see a fox or a sea otter! My husband I loved the location of this home. Being able sit by the shore every day and watch the wildlife was exactly what we were looking forward to. The home was clean and nicely furnished. There was nothing that we needed that wasn't provided by the owners. The sunroom was outstanding! We took lots of day trips to many of the small villages and a schooner sail in Bar Harbor. Wil & Veena have a special spot and we thank them both for sharing it with us.

The house and property were clean and comfortable. We rented a kayak from Acadia Paddle and the kids (11 &14) enjoyed the water. We had wonderful weather and enjoyed the views, s'mores in the fire pit, and the stars at night. The sun porch and master bedroom window brought the beauty of the outside inside. The house was a short drive to MDI. We enjoyed the nearby mainland trails at Indian Point Blagden Reserve, Down East Lobster Company, Island Time takeout, and the bakery nearby as well. It was a wonderful place to return to after a day exploring the area.

This house was absolutely beautiful. The outside is quite deceiving. When you walk inside, it's so much bigger than it looks outside! It was just my husband and myself, but it's certainly set up for larger groups. We got it because it had everything we wanted in a vacation home away from home. Scenery, location, quiet, far enough away to be secluded; yet close enough to everything for it to be convenient to get around. I can't say enough good about it!

The house is beautiful and well appointed. We chose it because we thought it would be a great location for our special needs son, who loves water to have some downtime with one parent while the rest of the family went hiking in Acadia National Park. We knew the water would be cold and hoped that would deter him from swimming, but it didn’t and in fact we had to go in after him to stop him from trying to swim out to a boat anchored way off shore. He’s an excellent swimmer, but the water is not at all warm enough for swimming and it was high tide so it was difficult to navigate boulders under the water’s surface. We found a lake in Acadia that was a perfect swimming spot and spent several days there.

What a beautiful place! We could not have asked for anything more. It was exceptionally clean and everything felt like new. The location was perfect, just a short drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The house itself was perfect to have kayaks delivered and get right in the bay. We even saw seals which was a plus!! Definitely would recommend!

This was a great place to stay for our week in Acadia. It was very clean and well-maintained, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We spent lots of time in the sunroom, and enjoyed watching the seals. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

What a perfect location! Just outside Acadia National Park, right on the water, beautiful view from the house. We spent every morning in the Sun room watching the water and most evenings around the fire pit watching the sun set! During the day we were out hiking and touring the park - only about a 20-30 minute drive to get to trail heads. House was quite comfortable and well stocked. Just had a fantastic time! Could not ask for more!

The property was very spacious and had plenty of room for the four of us. We were sisters on a trip to Maine. It is located about 20 minutes from the North entrance to Acadia and was perfect for us. The sun room overlooking the bay was a wonderful place to sit and have coffee in the morning and sit and visit in the late afternoon after our daily outings. Would highly recommend to others visiting the area.

The check in and out process couldn’t be easier. The home is in the perfect location, with the most amazing view, any time of day. You feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, yet you’re close to everything. The house was spotless, and we’ll supplied. We would definitely stay here again if we make our way back to Maine

The house was spacious, spotless and well-stocked with kitchen utensils and paper goods. The views from the porch are stunning, we primarily used this room and played games and did puzzles. It is a 30-ish minute drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia, we went several times and also enjoyed breakfast treats from a local bakery.

We rented this house for a family vacation and it exceeded our expectations. The home was spotless and well stocked. The sun room was used daily and we all enjoyed finding “treasures” at the shore during low tide. We had 4 adults and 2 children and were comfortable. Short drive to Acadia park and Bar Harbor. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Only suggestion would be darkening shades in the master bedroom.

We had an amazing stay at your home. Everything was very clean and the home was well appointed. We spent so much time in the all-seasons room taking in the views and relaxing. We were so excited to see fireflies in the evening - coming from CA that was new to us and so exciting!
It's an easy drive to all the places we wanted to visit while we were there and were happy to have a grocery store nearby! The home has everything you need to have a relaxing and comfortable vacation.

Needing extra room to host family over the holidays made Bayside Cottage the perfect solution. The home was clean, well stocked and so roomy! We especially loved the three-season room with phenomenal views of the bay. It was our favorite place to relax and visit. The sunsets were absolutely gorgeous each evening adding to our enjoyment. The hosts were attentive and communication was great! We highly recommend Bayside Cottage!

We loved the view of the ocean and enjoyed the 4pm sunsets. A wholesale place to spend Thanksgiving. There were lots of ladybugs in the house. Added space heaters were useful and often necessary. A first aid kit would have been nice (had a minor incident and couldn't find one). Blackout shades in the bedrooms would have made bedrooms better. Many nearby restaurants and activities are closed in winter. Area is probably even nicer in-season.

This place was amazing! The house is bigger than you think and the open feel to it was awesome. The house is very, very clean and we felt instantly comfortable the moment we walked in. The area is very quiet and was perfect for a much-needed relaxing getaway.
The house is near everything, basically, you're 10 minutes away from a ton of shopping/restaurants/grocery stores options. Acadia is close enough yet far enough away that you won't be beholden to the chokehold that can hit the Bar Harbor area.
Saving the best for last, the backyard makes this place even more amazing. Just looking out the windows is calming. Going outside and walking along the water at low tide is an experience you have to do.
We loved it here, even in the off season of November and already want to go back!

This was our second time staying at this lovely property. Veena the property manager, is wonderful. The location is close enough to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor for convenience yet far enough away for peace and quiet. Wonderful views of wildlife from the sunroom. Firepit and chairs to enjoy on cool evenings. Very comfortable couch for watching TV and good wi-fi that allowed my husband and me to work remotely during the week. Trenton has several lobster pounds open May-October. Nearby Ellsworth has two grocery stores and several delicious restaurants (Provender, Serendib, Airline Brewing Company). Highly recommended property.

This was our second stay at this property and it was exactly how we remembered it. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The backyard is incredible and we truly enjoyed the views from the sunroom as well. We have small children and the house was great for them. The kitchen is fully equipped making meals easy as well. Everything about this cottage was great. The views, the sunsets, the location were all amazing! As stated in other reviews the sunroom was our favorite place to watch the tides roll in and out and to simply relax while enjoying the beautiful scenery before us. We also enjoyed sitting by the bay, enjoying the fresh air and being immeresed in the beauty of nature all around us. The grandchildren enjoyed exploring along the shore at low tide. The only negative comment is that we could not find a local channel on TV since it was all streaming and the walk from the parking area to the door was a bit challenging for the older folks. However we all enjoyed our stay and found it difficult to leave.

This property did not disappoint! The views are absolutely stunning. We saw bald eagles flying over several times a day. The home is immaculate and extremely comfortable. The porch out front was absolutely breathtaking! Highly recommend this home. We cannot wait to go back next year! Veena was great to work with!!!

Great place to unwind
This was the perfect get-away! I wanted a house that was on the water with a great view. I also did not want to see (or hear) my neighbors. This spot was perfect- it is a short drive to Acadia, close to a fantastic wine shop in Blue Hill, and there are fantastic lobster rolls to be had in multiple directions. The house is roomy and the kitchen was well stocked. The sun porch was the best part- I spent hours watching eagle and osprey catch fish!

From the moment we drove down the driveway we knew we in for a treat! The house and floor plan were great and very open….but the view! Oh my, it was breathtaking and just what we needed. About a 20-25 ride into Bar Harbor and about 15 minutes to Acadia.
