Very Peaceful and serene. Was able to detach from reality for a little while and just relax. The stars were beautiful at night and the cabin was very clean. Great overall experience, would highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed here at the end of July 2024 and had a wonderful time. The house itself was spotless and cozy. Sitting out on the porch/deck every night watching the star-filled sky was awesome. Fortunately, weather was on our side, and it only rained one night during our week-long stay, so we got to enjoy the sky just about every night. Unfortunately we did not see any elk, but a doe and her fawn would visit several times a day, and the calls of coyotes, screech owls, and barred owls almost every night just added to our enjoyment.
As for the house itself, as mentioned it was spotless. Every room was clean and comfortable, and it had everything that we needed. And the wine was absolutely delicious. My wife and I are not wine drinkers and almost did not have it, but I am glad that we did as I never had a sweet wine before and it was very good. Communication with Mike and Terri was also very easy, and they responded right back with a question that we had when we arrived. As previous comments indicated, there is no cell phone service at all (they do have a house phone) so you will need to connect to their WiFi to access VRBO or the Internet. One thing, the password was updated so it was not the same that was emailed to us. Not a big deal as the updated password was in a basket on their dining table, but just keep that in mind if you are trying to connect to the WiFi and having an issue. We figured that out in no time. I would definitely recommend this house.

The rental was very accommodating for our annual Old Guys Fishing event. Had everything needed available in nice quiet private setting. We made friends with the local farmer and were given access to fishing from his property. We learned some new streams areas to fish and had a great time.

I was very impressed with the cleanliness, not only with the cabin itself but all the dishes, pots and pans ; silverware; glasses (I’m very fussy when it comes to cleanliness). We probably spent most of our time sitting on the porch, we loved the privacy. We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to go back!

We had an excellent stay. Print/or take photo of code and address due to no internet service until once inside. We wanted a little getaway to ourselves and that is what we got.

Beautiful fall foliage surrounding the cabin. Along a main road, but not disturbing. Convenient location to Sinnemahoning, Emporium, and Benezette. My husband and I saw elk a few houses away from the cabin’s location. Timely communication from owners.

Very nice cabin. Loved the porch. Beds are very comfortable. My sister could not find the proper light switches. I did not have a problem.haha As described, the drive in is rough. My SUV was fine. My sister has a sedan so she took the driveway on the opposite side. Very quiet. Herd of deer on the lawn one morning. Easy drive to see elk!

The cabin was even better than the pics showed. Very cozy, clean and inviting. We love to view wildlife and fall foliage and Cameron/Elk/McKean and Potter County certainly didn’t disappoint. We will definitely be going back again, God willing.

Very impressed with the decor, modern kitchen and bathroom. Loved the large wrap around porch. Very quiet and dark. We saw deer that were close by in the yard eating the acorns and also across the way in the strip between the corn fields. We loved our stay. We only saw three Elk on our travels which is ok, because we have been three years in a row. Highly recommend this cabin. Thanks for the wine.

This was our 2nd stay with Michael and Terri. We really enjoy the seclusion we have at their cabin. The cabin is very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed 2 campfires while there and the new firewood system was very convenient. I had to reach out to them while there, Terri was very prompt at helping me ….thank you.

A great cabin in the woods & mountains of Cameron county. We had deer visit in the morning and evening.
The hosts left us a bottle of local wine, comfortable beds & furnishings ( lightbulbs could be a bit brighter as it was a little tough to read). It is very nice to have a washer & dryer. Wonderful porch to sit on. Road into the cabin is bumpy so make sure you come in a car that can handle an UN paved road. Loved our stay & highly recommend especially during the elk rut season!

This cabin is located in a gorgeous location. We sat every morning with coffee on the large beautiful covered deck and watched deer frolick. The cabin itself was immaculate. The kitchen large and well stocked with appliances and needed kitchen tools and dishes. Wonderful and kind hosts. Perfect!

My wife and I enjoyed this wonderful cabin get-a-way in the PA Wilds. The front porch view of the mountains, corn fields and occasional deer both mornings and evenings was so peaceful. The cabin amenities were perfect for us. Good location to travel back country roads, fish, find a trail to hike and sight see. If you want a place to unwind this cabin is it.

This was a perfect spot for our four day vacation with younger children (5&6). Easy to get to where we wanted to hike and bike plus general “wilderness” sightseeing. We even got to see a few elk ! The hosts have a clean property with the rustic feel we were seeking while also giving us the quiet and seclusion we also desire

This is our third time staying at this very rustic beautiful property. It is a well equipped property with amazing beauty that surrounds you. We are looking forward to our next trip back there. If your looking for tranquility this is your spot.

The cabin and grounds is beautiful and well maintained. The only thing I would let any others coming is that the bedrooms are not private except the master. The other two they have listed as “bedroom” have no door or arch way it is one big open room with a small wall dividing between the beds. They are all open to the rest of the cabin. When going to the bathroom or into the master you go passed the beds everything is all open.

We loved EVERYTHING about our stay except, neighbors kept driving through almost daily. Nice people but, we were expecting total privacy to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We will come back though.

Cabin was as described. Very clean and situated in a private setting but still close to area attractions. We will stay at this cabin again in the very near future.

Property was perfect for a quiet retreat. House was clean and well kept. We enjoyed seeing the Elk in Benezette which wasn't too far from the cabin. We were able to enjoy the company of deer from the porch. We would definitely recommend this cabin if your looking for a quiet retreat.
