Jim & Kate are delightful hosts. Lots to do nearby. Swimming, boating, hiking, etc . Very relaxed location.

Lovely home on the wide section of Lake George. Shaded deck is a very nice respite from the hot afternoon sun. So many options for seating. Any questions we had were quickly addressed by Jim and Kate. Deep water at the end of the dock, is good for diving. There is wake action where you swim, but who cares you are in Lake George! Beautiful views and good boat watching. The outdoor shower is wonderful. All around sweet spot with just enough cabin quirkiness to make it feel like you are in the Adirondacks.

We had a fantastic time staying at this location. The cabin was perfect for our family. We spent a lot of time on the dock where the view is incredible. The owner is very accommodating and checked in with us frequently to ensure everything was going well. Thank you Jim and Kate for having us and for a perfect week in Lake George!

Super nice sitting options. You can sit outside up at the house on a beautiful deck with comfortable furniture that has nice shade provided by a large oak and maple tree growing through the deck. Great for hot days. If you get some rainy weather, there’s a pine wood paneled screened in porch with a comfortable leather couch. Great for reading. The boathouse provides two additional great spots to sit, the first, up on top that’s full sun, starting in mid morning and faces west for the sunsets. A very nice second option is on the dock below the boathouse which provides lakeside shade again for hot days. Enjoy!

The five of us enjoyed a nice, quiet, and relaxing week on the eastern shore of Lake George. We especially enjoyed watching the sunsets and the stars emerging into view from the sun deck. Thanks, Jim, for the great week!

If you like peaceful, quiet, time in the woods with dragonflies, fire flies and deer along beautiful lake…. This is your spot. This impeccably appointive cottage is in one of the most beautiful locations in Lake George. The dock space was great for boating and swimming and the hosts were very kind and excellent communicators. The home was really well appointed and super clean.

Wonderful week on Lake George! Property was rustic and well-cared for. Owner, Jim was incredibly welcoming and super helpful with every aspect of our stay, including ensuring our boat was docked safely. Home was cozy and well-stocked, and accommodated our family of five comfortably.

Mixed bag
This home had some great things about and some pretty bad things. On the plus side is the wonderful lake front location and outside space. There are lovely hiking trails nearby. The kids and I spent hours and hours fishing from the dock. Sunsets were beautiful and the porch was pretty.
Less wonderful elements: the downstairs part (which includes the master bedroom) has a serious mold problem which made me sick, the kitchen is tiny with almost no counter space, the house was not very clean. Luckily we were able to abandon the master bedroom and move upstairs. If we had a bigger group it would have been a serious disaster. (There are no dehumidifiers.)
Due to these issues I don’t think the owners should be charging as much as they are.

Stunning Views and Cozy, Comfortable Cabin
This is the second year we returned to the cabin and had another amazing stay. The location is perfect for waterfront access to dock your boat, jump off the dock for a swim, or just relax on the top deck and watch the incredible sunset. I love being on the East side of LG for absolute peace and listening to loons call on the lake. The cabin is super comfortable and cozy with a huge master bedroom and floor to ceiling windows. Our group of 6 just love it and can't wait to return next year!

Perfect Spot on the Lake
This property is amazing! Cabin is cozy and comfortable with plenty of space to spread out. Outdoor shower is to die for with lots of hot water. Wake up every morning to a gorgeous view of the lake in the spacious master BR. But the best part - the HUGE sundeck where we watched beautiful sunsets. We had a blast jumping off the lower dock into the water and loved the opportunity to dock our rental boat. Would definitely stay again!

Summer vacation 2020: Lake George edition
We stayed June 27-July 4th. Communication with property owner, Jim, was easy and expedient. Whenever I had a question, he had a response right away. Even while he was traveling for the birth of a grandchild! He was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. The cabin is exactly as pictured. We are a family of 6 and had PLENTY of space. We even had some family from the area stop by and we were not cramped. The cabin is stocked with everything in the kitchen and has a propane grill outside. Everything is nicely laid out and labeled for ease of use. The dock and upper deck area were gorgeous and the views were spectacular. We had fun fishing and had plenty of bites for the kids to catch and release. The drive into the village of Lake George takes about 15 minutes give or take. If you’re looking for seclusion and an authentic Adirondack experience, I highly recommend this property. We were so sad to leave.

Lovely setting, totally relaxing
Awesome location, spectacular view! We rented a boat and our children ages 9 & 10 loved it. The lake is the best attraction and we enjoyed tubing, swimming, and picnicing in the narrows which were gorgeous. We caught at least two dozen small mouth bass from the end of the dock as well. The hike behind the house was nice and we also liked the hike up to Pilot Knob Reserve. The Lake George community band was the perfect accompaniment to the fireworks on Thursday night. We had two nice meals out...one at the Log Jam and one at the Lakeside in Bolton Landing. We dined at the cabin the rest of the week and found the Cleverdale store to be charming. All in all a wonderful vacation on a beautiful, unspoiled lake. Lake George Village was nice for a few outings but the more remote location of Pilot Knob suited our family just fine.

Relaxing Getaway
This was our first attempt at vacation home rental and it worked out wonderfully. The owners were very accommodating even pruning some branches by the swings for my son. They were also understanding when twice our dog did the door dash and ran over to visit them. We loved the outdoor shower. Take the word cabin seriously; it is small. But for our young family it was just the right size. We enjoyed using the grill and eating outside while the kids played and later being able to put our kids to bed and relax outside in the dappled setting sun. (the yard is very nicely shaded). My son was thrilled to have success fishing from the dock, and we also got a nice thought slightly obstructed view of the fireworks near the Sagamore.
My only negative comment is that the master bedroom is downstairs on the opposite side of the house so when one night one of my kids woke up at tried to call us we had a hard time hearing him.

Great vacation spot
Stayed here last week of August 08. Terrific property with private dock on Lake George for your boat or a rental. Western exposure gives you sun when you want it in order to enjoy the lake. Lake is very deep right at end of the dock where the rock ledges quickly drop off. This area is a favorite for fishing guides and their clients in search of bass (crayfish for bait seemed to be working). Cabin is very short distance to lake and is clean and provided ample space for two adults and two teens. Living area/ kitchen is fairly small, so could see how it would be cramped with more than four. Large master bedroom and two small but comfortable bedrooms upstairs. Love that outdoor shower! The location in Pilot Knob puts you away from the crowds of the Village of Lake George, which is about a 25 minute drive. Short walk to great hiking trails as well as mountain biking. Small market for food, etc. about 10 minute drive. All in all a great choice for the money. Would go again.

Good vacaton spot
The cottage is immaculate and well provisioned. It is in a private area that is very quiet. The friendly and helpful owners live next door. Great dock to relax on, and tie boat up to. 15 minute drive to downtown.
